The only two platforms they offer are not great. I hate the look of MT4. I had multiple times where my stop loss was not honored (in fact one went 20 pips past). You can't add to a position with the same dollar figure, which makes zero sense (yes, I know it's a weird glitch with the FIFO rule, but it's still weird and dumb), just overall it's very bland and I don't feel like they were ever about my success. Despite the lawsuits and I'm sure facts about FXCM in the past, I actually really enjoyed the platform, did not have bad runs through my stop losses or anything. More companies should use or develop a platform like Tradestation.
edit after trying to withdraw:
Now that i'm trying to withdraw, it's only letting me withdraw $24 via debit card which is free. The rest (only $800) I have to withdraw via wire which they are going to charge me $20 for and then of course I'll have an incoming wire fee from my bank. Why can't they just do an ACH like when I did the initial deposit. I didn't wire. Just one more thing to change this to a 1 star. Not a good experience at all.

You guys were the only company at the time that allowed me to trade whatever I wanted … meaning if I want to trade $1 dollar you guys allow it. I am still trying to figure out Forex trading and it is taking me a very long time, maybe into my next life but I will say this, I do appreciate how I can still stay in the game with real money even when I am trading with one dollar, I can still open a trade and continue my learning. So thank you for that, I am grateful. Tom

Well, it all remains to be seen, but I have never had any real issues with the company. They always respond in a human way. Oanda seems to have pride in it's business, while KuCoin does not. I've even spoken to a human before, which was nice. Any issues I have are little technical things with the platform, but it's been a very good experience for me.

I’ve been a long time client of OANDA and I’ve contemplated writing this review. It’s been 4 days since my account was locked due to a ACH issue, I’ve contacted OANDA several times in reference to having my account unlocked and even made a deposit to show I have funds. I feel like I keep getting the runaround about the compliance/funding department needing to review my account or investigate. I find it hard to believe that this issue should take 4 days and disrupt my schedule as an active trader. Tomorrow will not only make the 5th day without resolution but I haven’t been assured of any resolution in the very near future. I write this review not to bash OANDA but to speak on my current dissatisfaction with the customer service and resolving my issue in a timely manner. As a full time trader this has been my first and last time using ACH as a deposit and I hope any trader considering it as a funding option knows how it operates in relation to a broker.
Update: 1/4/23 Going on day 6 of having my account locked followed by a delay in my withdrawal of funds.
Update: Finally received withdrawal funds, account still locked and I’m prohibited from trading
Update: 1/9/23 I made a call to OANDA this morning, my account is still locked without any updates. It’s going on 3 weeks that my issue has not been resolved. I receive the same answer over and over again without any resolution to my issue which in my opinion is highly unacceptable.
Update: 1/13/23 Still no update from OANDA but I see they’re selectively replying to reviews here on the site and INVITING reviews I assume to balance out the negative comments they’ve received. My account still hasn’t been unlocked and it’s been over two weeks now.
Update: 1/13/23 My account has finally been unlocked per response from OANDA. Truly grateful and thankful this was taken care of. This was by far the most stressful situation I’ve gone through as a trader but I would like to thank OANDA for finally resolving my issue despite the setbacks.

It's possible these 5 star reviews come from european side? Anyway, Oanda refuses to let you withdraw funds by ACH in US but lets you deposit that way. If your bank not on their (short) Plaid list you can not manually enter bank name to get short lag time instead of a week. Further you then have to wait 5 to 6 business days to see it in your account even though ACH is normally done between banks in a few minutes. Laziness, so you do not have funds when you want. Further, their AI image software is terrible/deficient since it does not recognize clear images on your debit cards to use those. Then they refuse to take the info manually to verify it. They want you to spend $20 on a wire fee instead. This seems like quality of 50 years ago.

OANDA is a good broker and I definitely recommend them! The only downside is that withdrawals can sometimes take a while to reach your bank account but don’t let that put you off!

Update: after I got this reply from OANDA below I reached out to their customer service team via email to confirm that the deletion of my data has taken place and they said it has not and they will keep my data for additional 5 years. So if there was a negative star mark available, I would give that, as not only does it look like they handle sensitive data carelessly but also insist on keeping them even if you have never had a fully functioning account with them. Be super careful folks, this company does not come across as an honest one.
Scam, scam, scam.
Tried opening an account, answered all questions in the app and uploaded requested data. After they confirmed my account was open they started coming back requesting more and more data, all via email (unsecured channel). when I raised my concerns about data trafficking that way and refused to share my data via email, after some back and forth they eventually said I can upload it as well, but by the way someone with the same name and address already has already an account. so I said identity theft alert, urgently share those details so I can file a report at police. then they came back oh, no actually you won't have a duplicate account and please keep sharing your data... so a combination of careless agents and no data protection processes it seems if not even purposely misusing your data. then I requested that they delete my account and all the data I provided as I do not trust them, they refused the delete the data and so far has not explained why, just said for the time being they had too... very vague communication throughout the whole process. so they have a bunch of my sensitive data, would not be surprised if next thing I know I suddenly had an identity theft attempt, well I will know then whose name too put into my policy filing.

i have used their service for a long time. My suggestion is just use your local bank. Banks may charge you a little more money. Your money will stay in the safe hands. Oanda's practices should be investigated by the government and that is the only way they would be held accountable for what they doing. Your bank is not offshore, Bank is right next door to you.
