I've been here many times, but only now see how badly maintained the place is. We got there early, and the lights were on, and I had to.put my jacket over the seat as they are disgraceful. The lights showed up everything. It's a pity, as the building was meant to provide an entertaining space, sadly I won't be visiting there again.
Very bad experience in odeon cinema Cavan on 7th March, went to see scream 7 with my 2 teenage sons and for the first time ever was asked for age of my youngest son who turned 15 on January 31st, the 2 silly boys at counter were obviously on some kind of power trip because they refused to allow us entry to see film as it is 16 cert,my son looks older than 15 and was looking forward to movie,we were all very upset as my sons are both autistic and did not understand what was going on, I will never return to odeon cavan and would rather go to cinema in navan which is not part of odeon group,also my family and I will tell as my people as possible about our bad experience and the pettiness of the silly little boys on counter,it's not like cinema was very busy in fact it was very quiet so I would have thought that they would be glad of 3 more paying customers,
Website wouldn’t put through my order for tickets. Ended up taking the money but told me to refresh the page to try again. Spent over an hour online trying to talk to someone but kept getting put to back of queue. No phone number to call anyone for support and ended up having to go into the cinema to get my money back. After all this they told me the refund will process automatically and I wasn’t refunded the total amount. Omniplex it’ll be next time.
Just been to the Odeon at The Point. Disgusting. The place is dirty and seats are torn and broken. I complained to the manager and was told it is because the owners are in England!! Hardly a reason/excuse. Shocking how bad it is compared to how good it was when it opened, especially as the rest of the centre is now opening up. No maintenance at all. Prices are outrageous considering the state of the place. Needed to go home and shower afterwards. Will not be going back until some money is spent on it. Disgraceful.
