From the moment, the Pete replied to my inquiry to the completion of the work (Start to Finish), took less than a week. I liked the fact the Pete was in continuous contact with me rather than changing personnel. Also because it was difficult to contact me by phone during the day, email exchange to the completion of the work was great. The team that turned up arrived on time and there was good communication throughout. They did an excellent job in the time allocated as agreed. Pete and Richard were extremely helpful, friendly and professional. This company moved extremely swiftly to help us out with an impressively rapid tank replacement when we were really struggling with no heating or hot water. Work was completed quickly and efficiently.

It was such a relief to get this done. All done in half a day. The crew were delightful and just got on with it. After three weeks with no oil and no heating as a result they were the best thing since sliced bread!

Sales man Pete went out of his way to sort my problem just a very friendly and professional company

We had a problem at first with pipes and the base, it was quickly resolved and all was good come the end.

My elderly father ordered a new tank from this company.
He had to chase up as tank never arrived.
When tank finally arrived it was damaged.
They agreed to collect and refund but did nothing , and then stopped answering emails.
Had to ask his bank to recover his money with a chargeback.
Absolutely shocking customer service, they do not deserve to be in business

Extremely disappointing experience. My oil tank was written off and i contacted Oil Tanks plus for a quote. They were great at getting me to sign up but there is where the problems started. Firstly deadlines were missed despite promising an early delivery and fitting. Then they charged me for a new platform that wasn’t needed or provided and the new tank they delivered was damaged. They tried to fob me off with a free tank monitor, which didn’t even work and when I removed it it turned out to be secondhand! It’s been months now without them settling the situation. Their customer service is really poor and the whole experience has been very stressful and not at all what I was expecting. I paid for a fast service and a new tank and what I’ve ended up with is an expensive damaged tank and my complaints being ignored or pushed to other people who ignore me.

Shockingly bad company, take your money and do a cowboy job. Installation is non compliant, incorrect base, fire boarding etc.
Contacted them on numerous occasions to try to get a resolution and even though I have emails admitting it’s wrong from them and that they will sort it, they haven’t and ignore my calls and emails.

Needing the replacement of an old 1300l tank we contacted Oil Tanks Plus. We received excellent advice from a very friendly chap (who became known as "the oil elf") resulting in an order for a new tank. Delivery and installation was a totally painless experience; the guys were competant, polite and very helpful throughout. The old tank was removed and disappeared, and the new one was in place and operational within a couple of hours. Overall a very pleasant experience!

From the beginning till the end they help me sort out professionally. Sales manager and the installation team, can'thank them enough. so happy with their service and strongly recommended them for people who has very little knowledge like me, honestly they guide you and support you well and the dispose the old tank as well. Be warned if you have any issues they won’t be helpful at all. They seem to be leaving reviews themselves now or getting staff to as well. They can respond to reviews but not phone calls and emails.

Our experience with oil tank plus has been far from what was expected, it was completely inadequate and dangerous.
I wouldn’t be writing a review if they had resolved the issues presented to them with videos and other oftec engineers comments on the disaster that was installed at our home.

Listed are the issues

1) Tank installed - the integrity of the tank is not what it should it has been weakened somehow as it is bulging around the base. Video has been sent. This should of been replaced.

2) Water in oil- The oil was put back into new tank with 230 litres of water in it. Oil cleaning company and our own oftec engineer tested the oil to determine this. Meaning boiler wouldn’t work and needed replacement pump.

3) Earthing - We were told don’t need tank and pipes earthed , incorrect information. These cowboys told us to “just cut earth rod off” this didn’t seem right and alarm bells were then ringing

4) Fittings - These are incorrect for type of tank and likely to leak

5) Not to regulations - This tank has been installed next to a garage wall which isn’t allowed, the cheek of it oil tank plus said I should know the regulations before booking. Excuse me I am not a oftec qualified person and that is what we are paying you for. The cowboys should have said sorry can’t install there.

6) Cowboy “engineers” came from 5 hours away this is totally ridiculous and not a viable commute, no wonder they were miserable and quite frankly quite offish.
How on earth can you mange after care if anything comes up , 10 hour round trip is ridiculous. Oil tank plus should not be contracting work out with that kind of commute 2 hours max each way. Apparently I wanted someone quick, if you can’t do the job you should say not send people from that distance.

7) Handling of complaint has been nothing short of a complete joke, Pete has been an absolutely laughable , can’t comprehend that oil was in the tank and shouldn’t be, basically fobbing me off and hoping I will go away. As mentioned to Pete the very first thing you should be doing as can clearly see from videos sent in, is send someone out so can see with their own eyes & rectify these issues.

8) Costs incurred - We have incurred costs of just under £800 to have oil cleaned and new boiler pump.

I may update here as I am taking further action and in process of sending evidence to oftec.

Thank-you Donny & Dean for your efficiency and professionalism. Our new tank was installed and refilled, necessary instructions given, tidying-up done and the old tank taken away all in under an hour.
They agreed to return if the oil line showed any signs of leakage.

Excellent service provided from oil tanks plus for removal of old tank and installation of a new tank. From placing the order through to the installation day, Pete in the office was very helpful with any advice and gave clear instruction of what would happen on the day. Donny and Dean worked brilliantly on the day of installation and were completed in good time.

The provision of the new Oil Tank was excellent with a very good product at an affordable, competitive price. The sales staff were very efficient and highly professional, showing great care in assistance. The delivery was quick, within one week of ordering, and the installation team was superb. The tank was installed on time and the old tank removed within an hour and a half. The site was left clean and tidy and the team were excellent in their helpful approach showing all of the operational requirements of maintenance of the tank. The whole operation was faultless and the after-sales back-up including invoicing was very smooth indeed.
