Useless battery, uncontactable company, warranty meaningless

I concur with the other reviews here and also wish I had read them before my purchase. The Sony Vaio battery was received after around two weeks and worked fine for a month before the computer then did not recognise it (worked fine with original OEM battery). After several emails with no reply I now realise my money has been wasted. There is no other way to contact the company. The one-year warranty is obviously meaningless. No phone number or address should have deterred me in the first place and it certainly will do in future. Wish I could give zero stars. I have nothing positive to write about Okbatt, they have infuriated me good and proper. AVOID like ebola.

'okbatt.co.uk' sells unusable junk.

I bought a Dell battery from this company 'okbatt.co.uk'. It was cheap, but only lasted a few months, it is totally dead and causing me a lot of hassle at work. Now I need to get the official Dell one anyway. This company sold me junk from China. Do not buy from them.

Credit card fraud

I too wish I had read these review before ordering. I bought a laptop battery at less then half the price it should have been. I wasn't aware it came from China until I got a confirmation email. The battery ended up being returned to sender because Royal Mail returned it sooner than they should have. I decided to google okbatt and came across this website. That is the point when it all clicked.

Yesterday I received a call from my credit card company flagging several transactions that looked suspicious. They had not been made by me and so they were declined and my card was cancelled. I was at a loss as to how anyone had got my details because I seldom use the card in question. I believe that either okbatt use the details for fraudulent use themselves or they sell them on.

Either way DO NOT BUY ANYTHING from them! I am going to report this to trading standards and I advise anyone else with a similar experience to do the same and perhaps the website will get closed down. No doubt another one will pop up in its place but I feel I must do what I can.

fraudulent

Be very wary of dealing with this so called company. It has all the front of an authentic operation but on inspection is probably one guy in the far east with a website. I did get sent a battery for a laptop with poor English instructions which hasn't worked so i emailed for help,no reply, then i asked for return details,no reply. Dont touch them!

OK but not brilliant

OKbatt.co.uk is not a UK based firm it is actually based in China. I wasn't aware of this when ordering. You will need to wait around 2 weeks for delivery. The laptop battery I ordered took a couple of charges before it started to perform, I get around 2 hours of life when running on the battery which I would say is OK, however one thing I have noticed is the battery status indicator now doesn't accurately tell me the correct life left in the battery. I believe this is down to the fact that the battery is not a genuine OEM battery and you are required to install OKbatt's software before first use. I'm guessing this software tricks the laptop in to thinking it has a genuine battery installed but hence why the battery status indicator doesn't work correctly.

OK overall but personally I would spend the extra and get a genuine battery

rubbish battery supplied.

After a couple of weeks received one laptop battery of the two batteries I ordered. (Missing battery was refunded. Unfortunately the rather expensive new Li ion (??) battery had a life measured in minutes and has been completely rubbish. The old laptop battery it was supposed to be replacing lasted longer !! I suspect it is a fake Li ion battery and there has been no reply to my e-mails. Don't trust there 2 year guarentee. It's worthless.

2 dud batteries

Oh, how I wish I had read the other reviews of this company before I purchased! Delivery takes 2 weeks! My laptop did not recognise that a battery was even connected. On the company's instructions, I sent it back at my own expense. 2 weeks to get to China, 2 weeks for the replacement to arrive. Laptop didn't recognise that one either. Now I get no answers to my emails. MONEY WASTED.

Never received battery

My order was due to arrive during Christmas holidays, for a reason I can't explain the item was held in the post office and I requested several times to collect it from my local post office (this is royal mail's fault). Each time I was going to my local post office they were saying that the item had not arrived. The item was eventually returned back to the sender. I email the sender immediately explaining what happened and they told me that they will post it back as soon as they receive it. I have emailed them twice on asking if they received it but there was no reply. That's a fraud...I paid 25 pounds for receiving nothing....

Dodgy dealers of faulty batteries

Bought a battery for my Apple powerbook. The price was half of what apple charges and it was on sale. The guy (Geoffrey) was very helpful answering questions and responding via email until the transaction was done. Then, a faulty battery was delivered as promised but it was faulty from the very first charge. It show a max 53% charge but does not hold it. So, as soon as the chargeer is disconnected the laptop dies.
Apple ran a diagnostic test and confirmed that it is faulty. But no response from OKbatt or Geoffrey despite sending several emails.
Paypal was of no assisstance in trying to get in contact with the seller or get money back.
So, now i am almost £35 out of pocket and the proud owner a dead battery.

They have no contact phone number or details. The package came from the east (China or similar)
Do not buy from them . You will end up buying a genuine battery from Apple with a warranty and world class service. These guys are dodgy. The other reviews indicate there might be a pattern to OKbatt's crooked dealings.

The laptop battery does not re-charge

They battery I purchased does not re-charge and the company never responds to any attempts to contact them to obtain a replacement or refund. Do not use this company, my advise is to buy from a repitable dealer.
