Possibly......PROFIT BEFORE PETS!!

Not happy or impressed or surprised.

Last appointment for two of our dogs was probably the most spectacularly disappointing so have move them to another vets.
Ironically, my comment and concern about profit before pets has been bourn out with a bill for both the dogs as apparently they have used up more money in treatment than the 'healthy pet club' we pay monthly allows.
Who would have thought they tag this as a running total where you have treatment in effect on account.
Add to this never seeing the same vet twice and them not reading the dogs records or knowing the animals and a patronising veterinary nurse all sadly adds up to the inevitable.

Well done on turning what was a great little vets into frankly a bad joke.
If you love your pets then then my advice is to avoid these guys now and that is sad.

Friendly staff but poor and shambolic…

Friendly staff but poor and shambolic admin... has got worse... vets and staff have all been great but the support let's them down.. trying to sort out a claim is tough, then if you try to claim direct they force you to have to claim through them so they can charge a fee for doing so.. not impressed.. would I recommend them.. NO.

Poor staff attitude and closed down a branch with no notice.

My Partner had her cat with a different vets in Gorleston, who also offered the pet club cover, they rang/messaged when it was time to collect the cats medication & were generally great. in November 2023 they provided 6 months supply of flea & worm treatment.

At Christmas 2023 we decided her cat would move over to me & on February 2024 we picked The Old Golf House in Attleborough. They inspected our cat & clipped her nails.

We got to July this year & had no call/message about the next medication, so I called. I was transferred to Watton where the male employee told me bluntly that they don't have the time to contact their customers about scheduled treatments & it's my responsibility to make contact. I stated that Gorleston used to Message my partner & his response was "they must have more staff than we do"

I hate poor attitude from anyone but when spoken to like this, it's just not acceptable.

Also, by coincidence, they were closing Attleborough with just a few days notice. That then meant a much longer journey when we needed them.

So we decided to move our cat & tried to get a refund on the basis that we've had no contact since February, no treatments etc.

After chasing them & their practice manager, expecting refund, they've refused the refund on the basis that the club i an annual club and for the past 6 months we've had everything we need. Until now.

It was acknowledged that they could do better at keeping people informed but hey, it's easy to say.

So we're moving to another practice. Poor attitude, you phone & get anyone at any branch answer the phone & a practice manager who seemed to be quite chuffed with herself that they didn't ow us anything.

All of thee plans are simply about the money & locking you in to a particular.

Oh and our branch, Attleborough, closed with just a few days notice - not that we were told anything!

I suggest you don't use this group, a bit like the general feedback in the other posts.

it's all about the money.

I have an older French bulldog

I have an older French bulldog and find this vets polite and usually efficient but there charges year on year is very pricey but my dog must keep up all vacations and other health issues because she’s an assistance dog and a therapy dog and obviously the people that certified her do check but I would still do this anyway it seems a shame that it’s getting to the stage that only the wealthy and people in full time employment will be able to afford pets even though this dog could save my life as a diabetic alert dog she’s been with this practice for a few years now but they don’t even have a practice with a vet where I live in Brandon Suffolk which means travelling partly because shortage of vets

£50 fee just to transfer back to my local vet.

I was wanting to transfer back to my local vets due to my aging dog suffering the 40 minute journey to my normal vet, this local vet wanted £50 (since the 1st of September) just to re-register even though they still have all my details and my 3 boys details on the system still, reason sited as, "so they can make sure they have enough vets" what a crock of... The system is to tell them that, they do not need £50 to tell them that, but get this if it was more than an hour away from the old vet there would not be a £50 fee, so the reason given is deffo a crock of... Disgusting to jump on the fleecing of the UK consumer bandwagon.
