OLMA Caviar as a gift did not disappoint.

I ordered 2 oz of OLMA Caviar as a gift for a friend who is always generous to me and she was very delighted and happy with the gift. It arrived the day it was scheduled to arrive, packed and cooled properly and as expected. I would recommend and would order again.

Caviar was a birthday present!

This was a birthday present for my husband- arrived on time and packed well. The black beluga caviar was incredible- we had the usual blinis and crème fraiche but I also made deviled eggs and we topped them with caviar! We ordered the foie gras and enjoyed that with toasted baguette slices. It was a great appetizer feast!

Very misleading and dishonest

Very misleading and dishonest, unwilling to take accountability for the misleading information. If you want to order some foie gras, go to Marky's - their customer service never fails! Here is what happened:

The product description on the website showed storage as "refrigerated, 10 months". Call me crazy, but I interpret that as ~10 months of shelf life. Based on that, I ordered it for Christmas. Ordered my foie gras on Nov. 4th with overnight shipping to keep cold cycle and received it on the 5th. The batch I received had a best by date of December 18th so 1.5 months of shelf life - much less than the 10 months they advertised.

I reached out to customer service to explain my reasonable expectations and disappointment based on their product description and I was met with "you can still eat it past the best by date" and "you should have ordered it later". All I received was a 20% discount on my order but I feel so deceived for something I paid a lot of money for. I now check the website today and after my call, that “10 month” line is nowhere to be found on the description which tells me that they clearly saw that there was an issue and they chose to change it which makes me feel even more deceived and taken for a fool with a $10.62 refund on an $83 order. If you’re reading this review, what does a “Storage: 10 months” mean to you? So annoyed, never again.

I’ll check next week to see if my review got removed like that “10 months” line.

To clarify, the “10 months” storage reference referred to the maximum production shelf life from the manufacturer, not the remaining shelf life at the time of sale. The Best Before date indicates peak freshness, not expiration - the product remains safe and high quality beyond that date when properly refrigerated and unopened. This differs from the expiration date. This is what our support tried to explain.

Following your feedback, we updated the product description to prevent any possible confusion, not to conceal anything. Transparency is important to us, and we regret that the previous wording caused misunderstanding.

Regarding your comment about reviews, please note that we never remove genuine customer feedback - all reviews, positive or negative, remain visible. Unlike Marky’s where you won’t find any reviews.
