Faces on Restore AI and Canon new formats…
Not supporting some of the older jpeg formats, particularly those that are from an older scanner knocks off a star. I also notice that On1 Max seems to gobble memory, not sure it is a leak or not, but several times I had to kill it to have any measurable speed for my other apps. I stopped complaining about the way it handles long amount of folders on a share... I just have to load ON1, go away for 10 minutes, then I can start work. Saving to a share can be traumatic as well. Faces on the Restore AI are horrible, UNLESS it is fairly clear and distinct on the original OR I turn down the face AI after the fact. It would be nice if I could default the Face AI to 10-20% from the start. Or some of the newer Canon formats aren't supported

I have been enjoying my ON1 RAW 2026…
I have been enjoying my ON1 RAW 2026 software. I used it for 3 recent projects and they customers were over the moon with the results. I have loads of old photos that could use restoring. So I purchased MAX in hopes of restoring the photos. I used the program on two important photos and it was a disaster. It replaced my and my wife’s face with a strangers face and replaced my uniform with some foreign countries uniform. So I tried a second photo and had the same results. I was really disappointed. The rating is based on RESTORE.

It bothers me that upgrading to RAW Max automatically signs me up for the + plan as well, without giving me the option to decline it. Apparently, it renews automatically after one year. I don't want this subscription. Best regards, Berthold Kropitz

On1 Raw max 2026 Restore does not work…
On1 Raw max 2026 Restore does not work well on peoples faces. Can't actually recognise most of them after going through the process, even photos of myself. Its seems ok for anything not involving faces, ie buildings or landscapes.

My friend has been a customer for years, he sent me the announcement about the new AI Restore feature so I was sold. Used the full Adobe Ps/Lr platform in the past but it was too complicated.

Afterall this was solved after contact with the very good helpdesk!
