Awful experience with claim document request

It's an awful company. They asked me to submit a document related to a claim, and I submitted a receipt and a document showing what service I received. So far, I have received several emails telling me the same thing that we need these items in the document, while I have been telling the rep. that these are the items you need based on the document I submitted. The rep. still sends me the same list of items. How annoying does the company want to be?

Absolutely hate this company

Absolutely hate this company. No FSA or HSA has ever required me to submit documentation for charges paid through the issued card. And they make it very difficult to enter your information. Requests for documentation come 3-4 months after the transaction date, which seems fishy. And I don’t believe that the IRS requires the documentation they are demanding.

I am beyond shocked my former employer

I am beyond shocked my former employer, a so-called, "esteemed" college, would utilize their services for retirees health benefit programs. Then again? They've utilized 4 administrative companies to do so, in the past 15 years. Optum Financial out of Florida is the most inept, incompetent fiscal firm I have ever, and I mean E V E R, dealt with. The "right hand" has little knowledge of what the "left hand" is doing whatsoever. My claims submitted are slowly processed. If I call? The "support" staff is clueless as to what are the specifics of the "problem". All they do is apologize - no effective communication is present. One would think they are comprised of "3rd world country" employees who are unable to speak in a serious, fiscal manner - because THIS IS, A SERIOUS FISCAL situation of trying to communicate with retiree health claims that should be reimbursed far more easily than they are. It has been this way since December of 2024 when they assumed responsibilties from yet another administrator on behalf of the college. Very tired of attempting to communicate with them and would NOT recommend their use to ANY considering a company to spearhead a retirement fund for their retirees (yet alone, any financial endeavor)
