Orbits SUCKS don’t use them

Orbits is the biggest piece of crap that I’ve ever seen in my entire life. I’ve been on the phone with their customer service for over 10 hours on 10 different occasions have gotten hung up on five times and so far have had no resolution to my problem. I will never use them again and I hope that this post goes viral so people understand what a lousy company they are.

Do NOT book flights with Orbitz

Do NOT book flights with Orbitz. We have spent over 10 hours on the phone with 7 different Orbitz agents and 3 supervisors trying to correct our travel itinerary with NO satisfaction. What they do is let you explain your problem, act very polite, tell you to hold so that "the back office" can try to fix the problem with the airline and then drop the call. Orbitz never calls you back!
We are flying from Malaga, Spain to Orlando, FL on British Air in October. British Air canceled our flight from Malaga to Gatwick and rerouted it to Heathrow not leaving us enough time to get to Gatwick for our 2nd flight to Orlando. British Air would not help us when we called since we booked through Orbitz. Orbitz told us they would communicate with British Air and then call us back to confirm the new itinerary. Instead, Orbitz just sent us a Confirmed email with the new itinerary with no opportunity for us to confirm or reject. The new itinerary has a 5.5 hours layover at Gatwick (instead of 1.5 on the original itinerary). There is an earlier flight to Orlando which would be perfect but we cannot get any satisfaction to get on it.. Ironically, our travel companions were able to get Orbitz to change both flights with a small upcharge - I guess they found the right agent when they called but we have not. So we will have a 5.5 hours layover after flying to Gatwick on a 2.5 hours flight and then getting another 9.5 hours flight to Orlando. We are both in our late 70's!

If Orbitz had no stars that’s what they would get from me. I booked a vacation pkg for 4 people over $4k. I chose what their website showed as 2 double beds for 2 rooms. Once I booked my friends called to say the itinerary said it was 1 double bed. I called orbits to figure this out and they stated me that their pictures are not update and that it’s my responsibility to read. So they charged me and additional $375 to to change the reservation to 2 rooms with 2 double beds. Even speaking with someone they booked only 1 King bed for each room. If you want to have a great vacation and easy process of purchasing you should go elsewhere. Orbits is not the place to book. They refuse to refund me my money or correct their error. I have emailed orbits customer care with no response. I’ve called over and over and am left on hold for over an hour with no resolve. My advice to anyone traveling DO MOT BOOK THEOUGH ORBITZ IT WILL BE A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. Yes it may be cheaper in the beginning when they are deceiving you with picture but then you will overcharged to correct their error. Not worth the headache.

Flight was booked through Orbit with a flight to Las Vegas. 6 hours before the flight, Frontier canceled the fight with 0 options to rebook. We followed the instructions for a refund and never got it. Called Orbits and they gave a number and chat link which we have already tried and they said they will do nothing else.

Be prepared when using Orbitz for as they are a US company and you pay US $

Be prepared when using Orbitz for booking accommodation it is a US company and pricing is almost double to AU $ unless you read the fine print. They will not let you change the date but are happy for you to pay out more US dollars. This would make one night accommodation in OUTBACK NSW almost $400! What a joke! Live & learn, I’ll never book anything through Orbitz and would NEVER recommend them.

Bait and switch

Bait and switch. We booked a flight that showed a 40 minute layover. Got stuck with a 1 day 40 minute layover. They were unwilling to fix it or make it right. False advertisement on the main page and outsourced customer service that was nearly impossible to understand.

Do not use Orbitz

I have a airine credit of $1,100.00 per their email to me. When I tried to get my credit they could not verify the itinerary number (that is taken from their own Orbitz
Travel Team email). Kept saying it was missing a digit.
There are no expiration notices on their own email to me.
Tried so many times with zip success. Writing this email alert everyone.
Small Claims court next step.
The only way this stops is by going to court.

Orbitz has become a traveler’s worst…

Orbitz has become a traveler’s worst nightmare. They did not book my intended hotel stay and put me in a very different hotel in an unsafe area with a lot of criminal activity. We had no choice, but I expected them to try to rectify the situation. Instead they blamed the hotel and would not heed my request for a refund. If you want a positive travel experience, do not consider Orbitz.

DO NOT BOOK WITH THEM. I booked my tickets for my boyfriend’s birthday to Puerto Rico. The money never came out of my account, I called the customer service and then a lady named Anna proceeded to tell me they tried to call me after the booking and because I didn’t answer they canceled it and gave my tickets away! When I asked why this happened and if I could speak to a manager, Anna started arguing with me telling me it was my fault and there was no manager, and then she said she was the supervisor and then there is a manager but they’re not here right now. Then when I asked if she could leave them a message for me she hung up in my face and proceeded to ignore my calls afterwards. Now I have to try to find tickets again and they’re all at least $150 more than when I originally booked them but they were cancelled without my consent. Fun.

Scam by Orbitz

Horrible customer service. Be aware of this scam company. I purchased two flight tickets and when I got confirmation that airline doesn’t have flights but other sub companies! Couldn’t verify tickets so obviously it’s a scam. Orbitz didn’t refund my money. They wanted me to call this company in Denmark to ask why???
The stress and the time I’ll never get back. Lesson learned. Never again!

Orbitz Cancelation fee scam

I have used Orbitz for years and rarely had issues until this time. I booked a hotel for a trip with friends. I prepaid to avoid issues later however my friends decieded to stay elsewhere and booked room. I cancel my reservation almost 2 week prior to our trip and my $106 prepayment refund was eaten away with a $97 dollar fee for cancelation. I will never again use Orbitz and will never paypay for rooms. This is a total scam.

Book direct with airlines

It is a horrible experience to deal with Orbitz. I book a flight to one destination round trip. Now my daughter has the opportunity to attend a 9/11 memorial, she needs to fly out earlier. Orbitz will neither change her itinerary or cancel the flight. So now she has to miss the event. All I wanted to do is modify her flight, but Orbitz will not work with their customer base. Then tell me try to use the insurance purchased. Never again. I talked to the airline directly, and said there was a way to wave the no flight change fee, if I had book directly. So my poor daughter got screwed. Nice work Orbitz

Dreadful and a total scam.

Dreadful. Rented a car months in advance for a trip to Italy. Orbitz specifically told us we would not need international permit if our driving licence was in English. This checked out as we've hired many cars all around Europe and never once been asked for an international permit, even though we had them to hand. Based on the instruction, we decided to leave them at home.

The car rental company refused to provide us with a vehicle, even after showing them the email confirmation for the car that specifically said NO INTERNATIONAL PERMIT NEEDED. Ended up having to hire a car from a different company who gladly accepted us as customers.

Fast forward months, we still haven't received a refund from Orbitz. This company is a total scam and should not be operating.

Excellent Service from Orbitz

I should give 0 star right now

I should give 0 star right now. We booked ticket with young children from Taiwan to San Francisco through Asiana operated by EVA through Orbitz. When we arrived in the airport, we were told that our flight is not available. Asiana said they send info to EVA but EVA never received it. We have called and talked with several peoples of both airlines and they said it was orbitz problem. Now we are still trapped in the airport and on the phone for more than 2.5 hours . One orbitz supervisor helped but disconnected us without calling back. One of the agents lied to me and told me to call back in 1hour since their system is down internally and refuses to let us talk with his supervisor. When I call 5 minutes later, it does not seem any issue with the system. We were informed that orbitz sent an internal message to Asiana but never get it back and Orbitz never informed
Us and we never get the new ticket and of course they charged us. We are still trapped in the Taiwan airport by the horrible mistake by both Asiana and Orbitz with young child. It is already one hour after the original flight.

Do not rent a car from U-Save

Rented a car through Orbitz, from U-Save, car rental in LA for a day and purchase the insurance from Orbitz.
Was told at the rental place it was not valid. U-Save made me pay for insurance again. Contacted Orbitz who refunded me the insurance. yet they are going to keep that rental car company on their site. The cost of then car rental ended up being double.

messed up one character in my…

messed up one character in my email...... on hold for 31+ minutes (still on hold, and have not talked to a real person). the recording said 15 minutes (which is not acceptable).. f me, this is how society dies.. figured I would write a review while I was on hold...

35 minute, they answered.... barely understand what they are saying, I think they said they cannot correct it because they can't send a verification email... I have not idea what they said but I found a flaw in Orbitz's system.. middlemen, am I right?... kind sounded like they will cancel it but I have no idea .. I asked please just cancel it.. they put me on hold... I deserve hell, I messed up my email...

43 mins in.... have to keep reminding myself it was only one character I forgot to type in my email... this poor person helping me, they deserve better, not from me but from the impossible s#!t situation Orbitz has designed and put them in, they are just trying to help....

49 minutes, they just tried to help and we are all in hell... it's hot.. we deserve it, we cared... we should not have cared, poor Orbitz, they made the mistake of dealing with people who cared... I wish I didn't forget that one character in my email, I wish I had yelled more at the nice person that was helping, poor Orbitz....

The poor lady is reading a script.. what is the difference between a script and automated-system?... why, why would I ask that question!! dare I question?? no, no, I would not dare, forgive me, please forgive me..... ohh oh, it's not Orbitz, it's the airline's website......

and I say to myself, what a wonderful world..... i am saddd.... I am sorry, I meant to say I am happy.. this is life, this is it...
