shocking customer service

Ordered some knitting yarn on 22nd May which was showing in stock and paid with PayPal. Received a confirmation of order. Around 2 weeks later order status was showing “awaiting fulfilment” so sent an email to query the delay. No Answer. I let another week pass and emailed again explaining that I was in no rush for the yarn but could I have an update as still showing “awaiting fulfilment” Again no answer. I decided to query through PayPal and actually requested a refund. Within an hour or two I had been refunded. No email to apologise for the delay and shocking customer service at not replying to my queries. Do these people not want business. Until today I had been willing to wait for the yarn. Just wanted acknowledgement to my queries. Shocking service.

Poor communication

Ordered on 17 May. No communication. Queried order on 28 May. No communication. Received refund on 29 May. No explanation, no communication. Poor service.

Excellent customer service

Excellent customer service. They were, regrettably unable to fulfil one order in the time I needed it (Covid 19 causing problems again) but refunded my immediately and sent lovely explanatory email.

5 Stars! Lovely little family-run business! Real service from real people.

Brilliant service from a lovely little family-run company. I needed some discontinued yarns quickly and they were able to come up with exactly what I needed and get it out to me promptly. On top of that, I was able to get some backing fabric for a quilt that has been sitting around for ages.
Being a family-run store, they were friendly and honest from the get-go. So nice to deal with real people and support a UK small business instead of dealing with and pouring money into corporate, faceless nothings!

Appalling Service

I placed an order on 16th January .Paid via PAYPAL and it should have taken 3 to 5 days for delivery. It is now 4th February. Despite several emails to the company I have received no reply and no yarn. I even offered in one email to accept a different colour if my chosen colour wasn't in stock. Still no response.from the company. I won't order from them again.

Update. Reported them to Paypal. Full refund today. 7th Feb No explanation and no apology.
Placed the order with Yarnsmith uk. this morning. Received an email this afternoon telling me it has been shipped. Now that is what I call good service
