Excellent information for a budding camera enthusiast. Great ideas for shoots etc. I love all the knowledge that you send me.
I can't reach the site. I get a "Let's confirm your human" screen and it won't go away. Granted, I've only done 16 of their tests in a row, but I would think that would be enough to prove I'm human.
Tried to respond to an email I got from them and got an "undeliverable" response.
Stay away, their automatical renewment is in my opinion dishonest business practice

Most if the videos on OPG are instructive and enjoyable although not at the very highest level seen in some expensive instructional videos that I have paid for. Doug Gardener videos are fun to watch and David Johnston's videos are usually helpful. One video about proper clothing for winter photography was quite useful. The critique sessions are polite but not heavy on what could be improved. For the moderately advance photographer, there are better instructional videos which are more expensive. Overall, for the price OPG is worth it.
On my way to make better pictures, I love watching the video's, they really help me to make better photo's. I have used a Canon PowerShot SX110IS since 2009 but do now own a Canon EOS 250D and learning to make great pictures is difficult, but these video's just help me step by step. One day I will make the photo's shown on the webside, and till then, I'll stay watching and learning,
I really enjoy Doug Gardner's videos. His adventures are just fun to watch. I do very similar adventure photography, so he motivates me! I also watch David Johnston's (sp?) videos and do pick up tips from him. I also like substantive articles, such as a recent one about using polarizer filters by Sarah Marino. I find it very instructive when the writer not only narrates their point, but also shows photos of with and without their point.
It's a great app and gives a new approach to photography!!
I have enjoyed every bit of the classes and videos of the Outdoor Photography Guide membership for the past two years. They have not charged me early for my renewal of my membership. I do get a lot of good information from all the classes and videos. I am happy with what they give me and offer me in my membership.
I subscribed to Outdoor Photography with an annual plan, which is supposed to end on 24 October 2024. However, they charged my PayPal on 15 October, claiming the renewal was valid from 14 October - before the subscription even expired! No email notice or reminder was sent, and it seems they rely on misleading auto-renewal tactics to trap customers.
As I paid through PayPal I immediately informed them that I would escalate the issue with PayPal if I didn’t get a refund. After I made it clear that I would take action they issued a refund.
This kind of behaviour is completely unacceptable - beware of their shady practices!
Although they have reasonable content, their business practices are dubious to dishonest. I was charged without my consent and they did claim to refund my account. Waiting to see if a refund materializes!
$9 to join. Nothing said Auto renewal at current $181 renewal rate. Never received a notice of auto renewal. They refused to give a refund. Instead, they gave me a Code for $200, which does not include any bundles No DVD's, No Printed material just online pre-recorded Classes. Their business practices are Deceptive. If you join for a low price, IMMEDIATELY cancel the auto-renewal. They will charge whatever the hell they want in a year if you don't.
after reading the 2 reviews left that are 1 star I found it necessary to share. I signed up for this service a year ago December 23rd, and then forgot about it. I've never been spammed, and when I called to cancel my subscription. they were very friendly and assured me that there would be no further billing come this next December, it's September now..So I'll cross my fingers and hope for the best that I'm not rebilled.
I signed up for this service a year ago for a couple of bucks, got slammed with emails and canceled a week later and forgot about them. Evidently, I neglected to take them off of automatic payment thru PayPal.
They charged me $88 on PayPal and refused to refund me.
This website owner will offer you much once they get your email. Massive discounts that seem bargains and even greater discounts if you do not take up initial offers. Whether you take up an offer or not (I did) you will be spammed to death even if you unsubscribe from all communications and this will take place daily.
Avoid at all costs.
