Yet another victim of fraud connected with this site. Do not use, it cannot be trusted and should be removed.

Hi Janet,

we're very sorry that you had a bad experience. We were victims of fraudsters that would link public IBANs to the app. We obviously managed this issue hands on by sending money back to the frauded person, banning from the app immediately and filing a SRA report and for the fraudster and tagging the IBAN so it could not be used again. We also added identification via ID earlier in onboarding. All this has eliminated fraud nearly completely. Hope this shows our approach to solving problems, direct and effective.
For every doubt or further issue don't hesitate to write to support@ovalmoney.com, we'll be glad to help you!

VICTIM OF FRAUD

This platform should have their FCA license and approval removed. The fact that they are still allowed to trade is abysmal. They do not attempt to prevent the fraud, the lack of support for me suggests that they are happy about having fraudulent transactions on their platform.

If you look at the good reviews, it is just people trying to push their referral codes. This platform is a front, an absolute scam. They should be ashamed and I hope that the FCA strongly punishes them for not managing or conducting an appropriate level of due diligence on their users.

Fraud Victim

Fraud Victim

Fraud Victim! I have just been a victim of bank fraud via this app. Recently someone else used my business bank details to set up a DD and pay money into their own Oval Money savings wallet using this app. So much for helping people save, this app is helping people steal!.
The whole thing is just a front - a flash website but no proper procedures. This is serious and it is clear that the owners of this app spend their time marketing, while not looking into a fundamental design fault which makes it easy for people to commit a criminal offence.

Fraud Victim

Fraud Victim! I have just been a victim of bank fraud via this Oval Money app. Someone else used my business bank details to set up a Direct Debit - they then successfully paid £120 into their own Oval Money savings wallet using this app. They also set up this DD to take this money regularly out of my account. I have been told that there is a problem in the design of the app that enables people to set up DD's ising someone elses bank account without ID.

So much for helping people save, this app is helping people steal!.
Oval money have not been in touch to help at all. This is a flash website to promote the app but its not been developed properly. This is serious yet there is no help to hand no phone number just an email address support@ . I've had no reply!. It is clear that the owners of this app spend their time marketing, while not looking into a fundamental design fault which makes it easy for people to committ a criminal offence.

Great company and service

Great company and service.
The idea behind this app is that you can start saving more money by following your expense patterns and being more aware of your financial state.

The idea is great and with plenty of investment opportunities for those investing small sums.

They need to work seriously on the speed of transactions though.
Sending money to/from the app/ bank account is extremely slow for the 21st century.... IF they solve this problem I would give them 5 stars.

I deleted me account... took money out my bank 7 days later

Tried the app for 24 hours but realised my bank have a service that does the same thing. I deleted my account with them, uninstallled the app and emailed them to confirm that I no longer wish to use the app and therefore please don’t take any money.

1 week later they have taken money from my account which can take up to 14 days to return! I deleted my account in good time and even emailed them to confirm yet they still took the money? Unacceptable in my opinion.

Hello Dylan, we hope this didn't cause you any hassle! Unfortunately, the automatic weekly savings transfer from your bank account to your digital savings account in the app cannot be interrupted once it is created. Saving transfers are created during the first days of every week, the savings are withdrawn from your bank account after a couple of days and reach your digital savings account a couple of days after that. For this reason, as it states during the cancellation of your account, it is possible that savings may be withdrawn from your bank account after the deletion of your Oval account! We settle open balances 15 days after the cancellation of every Oval account to make sure there are no transfers still pending. We realise it is a long process, but with people investing through the app we cannot risk anything being left behind. We hope you will reconsider trying out the app and maybe even join our community on Facebook!
