The whole experience of ordering a laptop was so easy to understand. They give you options to pay in installments which I opted for since not having the money up front, which is a big plus in my opinion. The price value and the quickness of the delivery were unbeatable . You were also informed in plenty of time (1hr slot) when the delivery was going to take place.
I have done a full install, everything has been updated and the hardware tested. Everything is working great could not be happier. Highly recomend. Well done overclockers keep it up!

I bought an LG UltraGear OLED monitor (£400+) from Overclockers as a gift for my partner — who specifically asked me to buy from a specialist retailer rather than Amazon or Currys, because he wants dedicated gaming and computing stores to survive. His entire setup has been bought from specialist stores on that principle. Keep that in mind as you read how it was repaid.

The monitor has had a fault since delivery: when switching inputs from DisplayPort to HDMI it frequently fails to detect the source, shows a black screen and drops back — on both HDMI ports. I ruled everything else out (four different cables and two different devices, all of which work perfectly on my TV) and sent them video evidence.

I raised it under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and politely asked for a replacement. What followed was the worst customer service I've dealt with. The first reply opened with "Sadly, I fear that you may have misunderstood how the consumer rights operates." My stated request was then ignored entirely and a repair RMA was raised anyway. When I pushed back, they sent me a Which? article to set me straight — an article whose own text describes the remedy as one opportunity to "repair or replace". Their very next email: a repair is the "ONLY" option (their capitals), I "do not get to choose", and they "have the final say". Their own source says repair or replace; their answer was repair only, no choice. They didn't even engage with the article they'd sent me.

Along the way they also dismissed my emails because I'd used AI to help write them — as if that changes what the Consumer Rights Act says — and closed with "otherwise we can not assist you." All of this over a monitor that is my partner's work-from-home screen as well as his gaming display, which they want to take away for "up to" 28 days with no firm commitment, no original packaging, and no confirmation of who carries the transit risk — meaning we'd pay out of pocket for a stopgap while it's gone.

At no point was I rude to them. I quoted the law, sent evidence, and asked for what the Act provides. In return: condescension, my request ignored, consumer law misstated, and a take-it-or-leave-it ultimatum. We picked Overclockers over the big chains out of loyalty to specialist retailers — the same chains that would have swapped this without a second email. You've just lost two customers, because customer support is essential and this isn't it. Escalating via Citizens Advice / Trading Standards, and small claims if needed. Ticket 2017684.

The link I clicked promised a promotion of 007 game but when I received the GPU I checked my email and didn't receive the promotion, and when I asked customer services was told I'm not entitled to one, would have purchased it elsewhere for cheaper if I had known

Delivery stated was 3-5 working days. It arrived the day after I bought it. It was well packaged and looks like it had been well stored. Won’t buy my PC things from anywhere else.
