I ORDERED REPLICA OF EAMES LOUNGE CHAIR AND OTTOMAN. I CALLED CUSTOME SERVICE TWICE BEFORE PLACING THE ORDER TO MAKE SURE THE LEATHER COLOR IS WHITE AS SHOWN IN THE PICTURE ON THEIR SITE. I WAS ASSURED IT IS WHITE. AFTER A LONG DELAY, THE CHAIR FINALLY ARRIVED IN LIGHT YELLOW LEMON LEATHER COLOR. CUSTOMER SERVICE INSISTED I GOT WHAT I ORDERED. AFTER MANY CALLS, I TRIED TO BLOC PAYMENT THRU PAYPAL AND THEY ACCEPTED TO RETURN AND REFUND BUT MINUS $73 FOR SHIPPING AND HANDLING. I REJECTED BY PRINCIPLE. FINALLY, THEIR CUSTOMER SERVICE IN SOUTH AFRICA ISSUED ME RETURN TICKETS, SUPPOSEDLY AT NO CHARGE TO ME. IT WORKED OUT THUS FAR. I REPACKAGED THE UNASSEMBLED CHAIR PARTS AND UPS SHIPPED AT NO CHARGE!! I CALLED TO CHECK ON REFUND STATUS AND THE AGENT SAID IT WILL BE PROCESSED LESS $50. I INSISTED THE AGENT FIND THE DOCUMENTATION OF MY CALL SHE CONFIRMED THAT I WAS ASSURED THE LEATHER COLOR IS WHITE. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE ASKED FOR 24 HOUR DELAY TO BRING THE ISSUE TO HER SUPERIORS. A DAY LATER, I RECEIVED AN EMAIL CONFIRMING REFUND OF PURCHASE AMOUNT LESS $50. I REGRET WASTING OVER TWO MONTHS LITIGATING WITH OPENLY DISHONEST PEOPLE. LET THEM HAVE THE $50. I DO NOT WANT TO DEAL WITH THEM FOREVER AGAIN.

Ordered from their website, they confirmed it was shipped then after months i filed a complaint with the better Business Bureau. Overstock claimed they didn’t get the order and it must’ve some other company. Didn’t explain their confirmation.
Don’t order from them.

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE
I CANT LIFT IT TO RETURN IT AND I AM AN OLD LADY ABD THEY DONT CARE! They should have had it picked up and they were going to charge ME A FEE and so instead they talked me into a 15% discount to use in the future…I never got it and won’t use it away because I’ll never EVER ORDER FROM THESE PEOPLE AGAIN. They were going to make me take it to UPS and then we’re going to charge me to re stock it. Are they serious???

BUYERS BEWARE!! They don’t stand behind their product and their actions are NOTHING SHORT OF UNCONSCIONABLE

Unacceptable service and return policy

I purchased four barstools that couldn’t comfortably hold a person over 110 pounds. That’s not my family. They arrived five days late and once I put one together and realized they wouldn’t work. I called right away about returning them. It’s been over a week and I just received an email saying that I needed to send them back at my own cost. I wouldn’t trust this company to purchase anything ever.

I ordered a 3 tiered console sofa table…

I ordered a 3 tiered console sofa table for $127 with 3 drawers. One of the drawers whatever we do, the parts dont fit at all, and this is the large drawer on the left side. Its been assembled and did not send us the new part as it is out of stock! They cant do a replacement either! They wanted to give me a $25 credit and I'm like nope, its assembled and they want me to box this up like nope!

⭐️ 1 STAR — WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD

I will never do business with Overstock.com again.

I purchased lighting totaling about $600. When it arrived, the product was the wrong size, so I did what any normal customer would do — I returned it. First insult: they charged me $50 just to return it. Fine. Annoying, but whatever.

Here’s where it goes completely off the rails.

After the return, I realized the credit card used for the purchase no longer exists. I had canceled that card due to fraud. This is not unusual in 2026. Happens all the time. I contacted Overstock and asked for a check or alternative refund method.

Their response?
No. Too bad. Tough luck.

The customer service rep literally told me the only way I could receive my refund was through the original payment method — a card that no longer exists — and that there was “nothing they could do.” I asked to escalate to a manager. She refused. Told me the manager would say the same thing. Wouldn’t transfer me. Wouldn’t help. Just shut me down.

So I tried email.
I emailed them over 10 times.
Every. Single. Email. Got kicked back.

Then I tried calling.

Over.
And over.
And over again.

Each time I was told, “Your call is important to us” — followed by wait times of 90 minutes to TWO HOURS. No callback option. No resolution. Just endless hold music and corporate lies.

This is hands-down the worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. It feels intentionally designed to make you give up so they can keep your money.

And let’s talk about the products:
The photos are deceiving, the quality is cheap, and what you get looks nothing like what’s advertised.

Overstock has completely gone downhill since merging with Bed Bath & Beyond. Whatever competence they once had is gone. This company is a shell of what it used to be.

Buyer beware.
If something goes wrong — even something totally reasonable — you are on your own. They will take your money, hide behind “policy,” and make it nearly impossible to reach a human being who can actually help.

I’m done. Never again.

NOT THE COMPANY IT ONCE WAS! I recently purchased a mirror that ended up being sent to the wrong address because of a system error. Even though I notified overstock of the address glitch within several hours of placing the order, a customer service agent told me she could not change the address label. I then requested a cancellation of the order. Three days later, I received an email stating the item had shipped. The following day, the item was delivered to an incorrect address, which is in a completely different state. This order was shipped three days after I placed it. Overstock refused to do anything about this situation. A customer service agent told me as far as they were concerned, they completed the order as it was sent to the address I put on the shipping label. Even though I explained numerous times I put my current physical address on the label, and the system switched it, the agent said there was nothing that could be done. So I was expected to take the $200 hit or I could pay $130 to have FedEx pick the item up and return it to overstock.com

I used to love overstock.com. I started buying from them back in 2000, very shortly after they became a company, and I have ordered thousands of dollars of merchandise over the years. Even though it has been a few years since I placed any orders through overstock.com, I expected similar service to what I had received with previous orders. I did not get this.

Because of the specific details of what has happened with my recent order, I I will NEVER purchase anything from overstock.com again.

Scam City, No Accountability

I ordered a recliner for my 5 year-old. Took the day off work to make sure I was home for the delivery. The day goes by and I happen to check my email and it says the chair was delivered. I live in a secure building so I knew they had left the box outside without buzzing my unit. Sure enough, there was a picture of the box left outside the building as "proof of delivery." I go to retrieve it and it's nowhere to be found. The package had been sitting out there for hours. I called and called and kept getting the runaround. I emailed and got no response. How is it a successful delivery when you don't even bother to knock or ring a bell to a complex? How is that acceptable? I'm still waiting on a response from these people. It's been months.

Buyer be aware!!!!
Their return policy is unjust and unfair. Over the years I've placed several orders with Overstock.com without a problem, no returns. For the first time an return was necessary, they gouged me with 20% deduction from refund. I no longer want to do business with Overstock.com or any of it's affiliates'.

DO NOT order from this company!!! Overstock used to be a good company, but no longer. I ordered a rug that was so cheap(didn't look anything like the picture) and they are charging $25 to return it. From now on I will order from AMAZON.

Poor quality, fit, return process, and customer service

I ordered two Ben Sherman shirts for my husband for Christmas. He has one in XL he loves so I thought I would add some new colors to his closet. I ordered an XL and despite being slim fit, it fit like a giant wide bag on him (sleeve length was correct so could not have sized down). It was also much poorer quality than his other Ben Sherman- I believe the shirts Overstock sell are a discount/less quality fabric than ordering from the actual Ben Sherman store. When I went to initiate a return the shirt I was charged a $10 shipping fee PER SHIRT despite them arriving in the same package. I called Customer Service about this and was told there was nothing they could do because I had already initiated the return. So moral of the story is: shirt was of cheap quality, fit poorly, and returns were made difficult and expensive. I definitely won't be buying from Overstock in the future. (one final kicker- I paid $37 a shirt and I see they are now mysteriously $20 a piece).

Burberry belt to fit a toddler

I bought a belt and the Burberry belt doesn’t fit someone who wears a size 27, it’s exactly 27 inches and of course no exchanges no returns and customer service was not only not helpful, they were actually rude. I will never buy from them again. Don’t waste your money.

Charged me 45 dollars to return an item that looked like a dam jigsaw puzzle it was junk then I looked on the website they tacked a bigger price tag to it good luck to the next customer and I am keeping proof of everything.

This company is a SCAM

This company is a SCAM! I received wallpaper that was a different color than described (described as gray and was gold). The picture showed gray but when arrived was gold and no gray. I tried calling customer service to initiate a return but they would never answer. I was forced to initiate a return online and I learned that I would need to pay almost $300 for almost $600 of wallpaper. I will NEVER shop at bed bath beyond/ overstock again! The worst part is that I could have purchased the same stuff from another retailer with free shipping on all returns. I will be filing complaints with consumer affairs and completing documents for investigation with the attorney general. Not sure when they became such a bad company, I used to order from them … but wow! They suck now!
