I have Parkinson's Disease and I am housebound. I was unsure about ordering and sent an email regarding the need for 1.5 or 2.0 and Jonathan replied very quickly. My order was delivered in Ireland within 6 working days. The reading glasses are wonderful and, post double cataract surgery, I can now read comfortably.

Initially sent incorrect glasses, ordered sunglasses, received non tinted lenses, contacted Owly and there no quibble was sent correct glasses FOC, no P&P and got to keep the original pair, superb customer service. Glasses are fabulous, I'm known for breaking almost every pair I own, not in this case! Stylish, lightweight and perfect sun protection, thank you guys

Not Worth the Price – Overhyped and Underdelivered

I purchased Owly reading glasses after reading many positive reviews, hoping for a quality upgrade. What I received was disappointing — the glasses felt no different from cheap versions I’ve bought online for a fraction of the price.

Pros:
✔️ Nice packaging
✔️ Fast delivery

Cons:
❌ Frame feels flimsy and plasticky
❌ Quality no better than budget alternatives (e.g., Taobao)
❌ Overpriced for what it offers
❌ Misleading premium branding

If you’re expecting a substantial difference in comfort, durability, or design — this isn’t it. I don’t recommend the product unless the company addresses its quality gap and better aligns marketing with reality.

I recently placed an order for reading glasses from Owly Eyewear. I followed the instructions for ordering the right strength then placed my order. The glasses were received quickly. But was disappointed when I tried them on and could not read anything with them on.
I contacted them the same day I received them via email.
They suggested that I forward them a recent prescription to fix the problem. I told them my prescription was several years old so I just want to return them & get a refund. I was then told they could only refund me 50% because of the international shipping.
This is my fault...I should have never placed an order from a United Kingdom company. Usually I do not do this, it was an oversight on my part.
I do not recommend this company. I am sorry I ever heard of this company.

Beautiful glasses for reading, happy with my purchase, nice thin case

This is my 3rd pair of owly reading glasses, I keep one in the kitchen, living room and one in the bedroom. Love them so much!

So cute! Thin, light and easy to carry. I bought 2 pairs one to take to work and one for use at home. The blue light blocking lens also seem to relieve my eye strain. Thank you Owly Eyewear
