One of the Best!
My wife and I have supported Oxfam for a number of years, including a regular monthly gift for the past few years (supplemented by special gifts at times). Their work is important and much needed. They have a variety of global programs, many (if not most) are in partner with local organizations that are able to supply knowledge and person power to improve the chances of success. And they are involved in providing assistance to global disasters, both natural and person-caused. We're proud to be able to support Oxfam and it's work!

One of the Very Best
There are two supportive organizations to which I give most money, Oxfam and Mercy because of how they operate, the networks they have developed and the manage in which they keep their operative expenses low. I also favor Cultural Survival (I'm an anthropologist) and Amnesty for similar reasons.
