Bus driver harassed me

I've been getting on the same bus for months, and every single time, the driver would laugh at me. Not a friendly laugh — a cruel one. He'd mock me, make me feel small, and treat me like I didn't deserve basic respect.

When I finally confronted him alone, he admitted he discriminates against women. He even said he "gets off" on it. He told me I look 30 — I'm 25 — and laughed in my face.

But I've also noticed something else. He's so nice to the underage girls who get on his bus. Really nice. I've seen it with my own eyes.

But the moment my partner stepped in? He crumbled. He couldn't even speak properly. Stuttered. Mumbled something about "positive discrimination." He was a completely different person. Weak. Pathetic. Small.

I have the whole thing on video.

This man is still driving a bus. He targets women when they're alone, fawns over underage girls, and can't handle being held accountable in front of another man.

He shouldn't be behind the wheel.

Pertaining to the Oxford city services…

Pertaining to the Oxford city services like park and ride x1s x15s etc.generally the service runs not too bad considering.but its all under enormous strain and increasing over crowding etc.some times and routes worse than others.i find it's the quality of other passengers rather than drivers that is the challenge.theres often a fairly negative atmosphere.and it can get quite tense.with the odd substance loop fruit from time to time or anti social low income groups stirring discontent at the back .a few.drivers can come across as very self serving and confrontational .driving off doors shut as you run to make it.or terse orders.they do seem to be under pressure and regulations.Road works and continued sheer volume on the medieval cart track that is Abingdon Road the Southern Approach to the City do not help.a slow crawl of 30 to 45 minutes is common.

Falls well short of the most undemanding of expectations.

If I were to put it kindly, the Park and Ride service along the Botley Road into Oxford is unreliable and utterly unfit for purpose. In the past, some staff have been excellent. However, some have been obstructive, unhelpful and rude.

Non-existent buses fail to rock up. Ticketing is confusing. Buses are irregular. Many staff must have been dragged from the gutter, and spend much of their time being paid to sit in stationary buses.

Tickets aren’t free. They have been paid for by someone (local authorities or indirectly by users of the park and ride). The Oxford Bus Company falls very short of the most undemanding expectations!

A shame!

So. Trust Pilot says to make suggestions and be positive. I am naturally positive.

1. Train staff in basic customer service.
2. Provide an efficient service.
3. Make ticketing procedures clearer.
4. When things go wrong, do something to put them right.
5. Get rid of the mentality that Park and Ride tickets are ‘free’.
6. Discipline staff who have been deliberately obstructive, rude or offensive.

There are some good drivers who work for the company. Please don’t let others (for example the pig ignorant driver of the 17:15 park and ride from Osney on 25th May) get a bad name for the others.

I want to say thank you

I want to say thank you to the friendly driver when I went into Oxford on the 4A and even better was the driver on the return trip who woke me up when I fell asleep near Matthew Arnold School. First class thank you both.

Good review for a change

I have been writing some bad reviews, so it's nice to provide a good one for a change.

I had to go to an evening event in Oxford, for which I had booked a stay at the Pear Tree Travelodge. Because of the price of fuel, I decided to go to Oxford by public transport. This meant travelling from central Oxford to the Travelodge (next to the Park & Ride), to check in and change, back to Oxford for the evening and then back to the Travelodge in the evening. The Freeflow system in the evening was easy and made the total cost for the three journeys a very reasonable £4 (and I skip the Travelodge parking charge!).

The following day, I made some journeys around Oxford which would have reached the daily cap of £4.50, but for the fact that I forgot to check out on the last journey. When I got home on Saturday night, I sent them an email and was delighted to get an email at 8:30 on Monday morning indicating that they would refund the excess.
