Specialist car insurance..

Phoned for insurance on a performance car couldn't give me a quote straight away said the person I needed was on the phone.... Asked to be called back the next day then spoke to someone who took more details but still couldn't give me a quote over the phone very odd. I asked for an email to be sent once they had finalised a quote never received one. The car I was trying to get a quote for was already insured with a different reputable company well known up for renewal but thought I would get a comparison quote from a different specialist???? Wouldn't bother again in my opinion not very professional and they are not bothered about customer relations and new business.

Why it's worth going to an expert you can talk to

A lot of people think insurance is insurance – and they go the cheapest option from comparison sites on the net.

I recently had a complicated claim for a rental house – and was really glad that I had instead gone to Pace Ward.

Not only had they ensured that I was properly covered, but I didn’t have to endure hours ‘hanging on the telephone’ for call centres to get things resolved.

The team were brilliant, they kept me informed and got the claim pre-approved, so that when the work was completed, the payout came in record time.

Insurance is like many things, the cheapest is fine, unless anything goes wrong – what you really need is value for money. With Pace Ward, I received practical, professional advice on the right policy and had the support that goes with it. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.

Keeping it simple….

Pace Ward excel at the service end of this industry. I’ve used them for a few different products and like all insurance products, you only know how good they are when things go wrong. Reassuring and professional throughout, the experience has been refreshing and I hope to continue doing business with them in the future.

Ashley provided excellent service…

Ashley provided excellent service throughout my claims process. He was extremely helpful and supportive at every step and even called to check that I was happy with the repair work at the end of the claim.

Company Insurance.

I asked Paul from Pace Ward to quote for our company insurance at short notice, due to a price hike by our existing provider. They provided Proffesional Indemnity, Employers Liability and a couple more. Can't fault them, timely, improved our cover and saved us money. What more can we ask for.

My commercial insurance needs were…

My commercial insurance needs were quite complex and 'non-standard' but Paul gathered all the info and was able to make it clear and easy for me to understand. He also responds really quickly and got cover sorted at very short notice. Highly recommended.

Great customer service

Ashley was great and helped with getting things sorted as soon as possible. Helped me chase Things up and also kept In contact with me constantly to make sure everything was going in order of how i wanted it. Excellent customer service and very polite on the phone

Too reliant on electronic comms for renewals.

Edited after speaking with the office manager this morning:

Unfortunately there is nothing in place to avoid missing or misplaced emails that do not ‘bounce back’.

Even with update details i still did not receive my renewal.

Having called in for a second time yesterday, when it became clear that my profile of a single vehicle did not fit the business (pace ward) I should have been advised if this.

Having now verbally been given my renewal figure of just under £1500, which is a ludicrous figure in its own right, I obtained alternative insurance elsewhere via a different provider.

I hope that pace ward learn from their experience of over calling electronic communications as a sole method of looking after customers as it cannot and should not be relied upon in circumstances of the importance of vehicle insurance.

Although the final responsibility is with a driver, a good broker ensures their customers at the very least are in possession of the facts regards their insurance.

As a result, I still do not recommend pace ward as I feel having been a customer for over ten years, I was at least worthy of a follow up letter in the post. Don’t skimp on 50p 👍

In any event I was to be left uninsured at the end of yesterday and forced to source insurance elsewhere.

Learn from the error, put things into place to deal with these things as a responsible broker 👍

Edit to add after response:

Although it would seem that you made every attempt to contact me and I managed to successfully receive a no claims letter by email, this does not remove the fact that I had nothing else from you.

You seem intent on lodging the blame with your customer, seem to have learnt nothing from what’s happened and you are perfectly able to post a letter without spreading covid 19 so that is a very weak excuse.

I’m please to see you have written a huge paragraph of blame directed at me exonerating yourself with comments like ‘we checked to make sure there was a handshake’ on the server.

Considering the domain you emailed WAS UNHOSTED I’d love to know how your magic server managed it.

You have learnt nothing from this at all, haven’t addressed the issue with regards to unsuitability of single cars with yourself which could have been done on the call I made to update details.

You failed to do so with every opportunity you had, admittedly not many, but you did have the option.

Consider training your staff on that material fact.

As for spouting about how an unhosted domain with no server could handshake with your mx…..diatribe.

And so the review drops back to a 1.

Thank you for taking the time to complete and update your review on us.

We did try to contact you on 2nd December to review your requirements using the information held against your record via email, this email did not ‘bounce’ back and as such delivery is expected.

Following your complaint, we had out IT company check this for us and they confirmed the server handshake had happened.

We sent a renewal invitation to you on 21st December and again via email, and again this didn’t ‘bounce’ back. You contacted us on the 10th January to advise us of changes from renewal and you also advised us of a new email and that you hadn’t received anything from us.

From the information you provided we reapproached our underwriter to ask them to review your new requirements and it was confirmed that you no longer fitted the scheme we offer, in hindsight, we should have suggested our thoughts to you during the telephone conversation on the 10th. We called you on the 11th to have this conversation and to offer the premium we had found. We couldn’t contact you and left a message asking you to call us back, we didn’t hear from you. As such we emailed you confirming our premium to your new email address and called you again and left a further message to contact us.

When you contacted us on the 18th, this was after you had left this feedback, you said you hadn’t received any correspondence from us and had seen the missed call but you had run out of time to contact us and had arranged cover elsewhere, however when we emailed your no claims bonus to you, you received this and we used the same email as before.

We have found that Email is the most convenient option to use for our clients during this time with Covid, as they instantly receive documents, and any emails that bounce back we call the client to clarify and either take a new email or use the post, we are not trying to save 50p, we are trying not to be part of spreading the pandemic.

Charged a huge amount for a mere 6 weeks on cover, then told I have to wait 8 weeks for the rest of my money back

We do advise everyone, before collecting any money/premium of the scale of charges should a policy be cancelled, and you accepted these terms upon providing payment to us.

Refunds can take up to 8 weeks however, the refund could be with you within 2 weeks, we have to advise you of the worst-case scenario. As soon as the refund is confirmed this will be issued to you. Checks must be carried out to confirm everything is in order.

Impressive, rapid service

Contacted Paul today, as I was looking for comparative quotes on my commercial vehicle insurance. Got an immediate response and within minutes had my renewal sorted, along with a massive saving on the premium. A great one-to-one service and a fair price. Will definitely be back in touch when my public liability policy comes up for renewal.

Thanks Pace Ward

I've been with Pace Ward for about 10 years since I had a modified Evo 5. This year last year I bought an unmodified ST3.I got a slightly cheaper quote from another company but decided to stay. I'm really glad I did now because when the ST was stolen Debbie and the team have been absolutely brilliant. They can be reached easily on the phone with no queuing and offer useful help and advice. Thanks to Debbie and Nicola. You've made a traumatic time a lot more bareable

Claims Handler - Debbie was very proficient and helpful

I had Debbie From Pace Ward working on my claim. Genuinely enjoyed the conversation and the help from Debbie in particular. Nothing was too much trouble and given the current climate with COVID etc , she kept me posted all the way and explained everything clearly and positively and just makes things so easy and hassle free.
