Went for a normal cleaning which should have included periodontal pocket measurements on every tooth. Instead, I got a quickie scrape and no polish (took about ten minutes total). The dentist came in and checked the “cleaning” and then redid some areas. While redoing the areas, he jammed the plaque scraper into my gums a couple of times (it hurt and I did say “ow” each time). instead of acknowledging my pained reaction, he told the hygienist he mistook my gum for plaque. After the scraping it became clear to me they weren’t planning to do pocket measurements, I expressed concern about this because I had a pocket on a tooth measured to be 4mm deep. The dentist asked which one I wanted to be measured.(again, measuring all the gum pockets for all the teeth is standard during a cleaning, so I was quite taken aback by this question). So, the dentist measured the ONE particular gum pocket I asked about, no others. This is the worst dental “cleaning” I’ve ever had. Please avoid this place at all costs.
