I Was Deceived After a Disturbing Incident – Women and Children Are Not Safe at Paloma Finesse

⚠️ Trigger Warning: Guest Safety / Staff Misconduct / Privacy Violation

We stayed at Paloma Finesse for two weeks — myself, my partner, two daughters, and baby son. I feel morally compelled to warn other families, women, and solo travellers about a traumatic experience on our first day, which ruined our holiday.

The first time using the women’s toilets, wearing my bikini, I was followed inside by a male cleaner. Moments later, I looked up to see a phone being held over the cubicle wall, camera pointing directly at me.

I screamed, the man fled, and thankfully hotel staff and my partner helped track him down. I identified him and the police were called. During the interview, I was denied my partner's presence and taken into a room alone with seven men. Several times, they laughed and spoke in their own language, leaving me feeling intimidated and unsupported.

Police said I could press charges, but doing so would require returning to Turkey. I was told no images were found on his phone — likely, in my view, because he had time to delete them. It was my first time using the toilets. The speed and confidence of his actions made me doubt it was his first time.

Hotel staff and the TUI rep assured us he’d been dismissed and deported. We were offered £1,200 in extras on our £8,000 trip, which seemed to acknowledge the seriousness of the incident. The TUI rep confirmed a report of sexual harassment had been filed.

But on our final day, I was horrified to see the same man — in full uniform — working at the children’s water park. He saw me and ran. We reported it, but Guest Relations became evasive, spoke in another language, and claimed the hotel manager was unavailable. We no longer felt safe and left immediately, arranging an early flight home.

I had trusted the Guest Relations Manager, Stella, who repeatedly reassured me action had been taken. It now seems I was misled. This was not a misunderstanding — it was, in my view, a cover-up that put other guests at risk.

I was later told the man was not Turkish but contracted via an external agency in Indonesia. Many staff are reportedly hired this way. If a resort outsources staff, it must properly vet them — especially when they work around vulnerable guests.

I am not sharing this to cause harm. I’m sharing it to protect others. Paloma Finesse failed in their duty of care. Women and children are not safe here.

Save yourself the grief and book elsewhere

Having booked the Paloma Grida in January 2025 with the understanding it was undergoing a refurb, we were looking forward to our June holiday.
As the date approached, we kept seeing stories that it wasn’t ready etc, EasyJet were clueless so I contacted the hotel direct. Temne Guest Relations Manager replied to me that the opening date was fixed and there was no risk to our dates. Happy days.
Fast forward a week and the hotel have moved the reopening date again, to after the date we were due to arrive. This is the 4th time they’ve moved the date!
The lie to their potential customers to stop you rebooking elsewhere.
Will never book with these cowboys again.

PALOMA FINESSE/ORENDA

PALOMA FINESSE/ORENDA

I have just returned from the above hotels. Having been to Turkey 8 times previously. I have to say these hotels are right up there ! Brilliant value for money and simply stunning location, right on the beach ! Presenting the most amazing sunsets that would rival any Ibiza beach club. The hotels are modern, spacious and cutting edge design. They have a shared water park of 19 slides at the front of the hotels and are set right on a private stretch of beach in the mangavat area of Side.
The hotels are surrounded by beautiful gardens, large design led pools and beach bars. The entertainment is a ‘soft concept ‘ which is refreshing. It means you find it, rather than it finding you ! Full Spa with all the treatments you would expect from a 5 star ! Yoga & Pilates studio overlooking the beach and sea. Children’s park and entertainment. Clay and Tennis courts, football pitches, driving range boccia darts archery and much more ! The food was good perhaps could be a bit hotter but overall great. The chefs kitchen @ finesse had Michelin trained guest chef’s and the Japanese in the Orenda was superb. We stayed in a Junior suite for a week. Lots of space and the spare bed was positioned in a cantilever glass box, half partitioned via a modern wooden wall. The premium drinks at the bars were welcomed and particularly loved the Zinfandel and Gorden’s Pink Gin. The staff at the hotel are superb every single one, attentive and polite. The service was just outstanding! If you like design led modern hotels, good food and premium drinks with a quieter more sophisticated feel with ample sports facility, spa gym and yoga lots of activities and great entertainment, then these are the hotels for you. PALOMA thank you for a wonderful stay we absolutely loved it !!!

Had a lovely holiday

Had a lovely holiday at Paloma parissia. Loved the room, the view, the pools, the entertainment, the majority of the staff were great. Drinks were good and was right on the beach. The beach wasnt the best, but not bad, and not really a priority for me. The only thing that let it down really was the food. It wasn't bad, but wasn't great. Never got ill or anything. Just didn't love it. Often some of it was cold and was quite repetitive. I'd say the hotel was 5* but the food only 3*. This is the only thing that would stop me going back.

My stay at Hotel Paloma Foresta

My stay at Hotel Paloma Foresta was nothing short of amazing. From the moment I stepped into the lobby, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met throughout my stay.

The room itself was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated, with stunning views of the surrounding forest and sea

I would to thank the staff working at Paloma Foresta to provide such an exceptional service and a special thanks to Erdal (Manager of the hotel), Ozan & Ameera (guest relations), Köksal (the receptionist) and Keziban (waitress).

Overall, my experience at Hotel Paloma Foresta was nothing short of exceptional. The combination of luxurious accommodations, delicious dining options, and attentive service made for an unforgettable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in a beautiful setting.

*beware* of this hotel

*beware* of this hotel. My whole family came back very I’ll from this hotel with food poisoning. Everyone we spoke to there was extremely unwell, my two children age 7 and 9 are still having terrible stomach problems two weeks after originally getting sick there. Not only that this hotel is absolutely not 5 star. It’s is so far from I cannot even begin to start on the negatives. The hygiene is appalling, flies everywhere. Food not stored properly and awful cheap drinks. Save your money and go elsewhere. Really disgusted in how poorly this place has made us all especially my little ones who have been in and out of the gp office since returning home.

We stayed at the Paloma Forest Hotel

We stayed at the Paloma Forest Hotel.
The staff are amazing especially the entertainment team.
The hotel is not 5 star. You can’t get into the A la Carte restaurants even though they are half full.
Th food is average.
The guest relations team can only speak Turkish or English so get the entertainment team to help them. And they are as helpful as a chocolate teapot.
The general manager Ayhan Cakici has the worst customer care attitude and no interest in helping you. I personally would not ever recommend this hotel. The rooms were not clean. This is not a 5 star hotel. Go somewhere else don’t spend your money here. And Ayhan needs to go on a customer care course.

Wonderful personal

I was in Paloma Foresta hotel with my family in April 2022 for 6 days and I have to say that my experience was wonderful.Everything was excellent, the food, cleanliness, extras like gym, interior swimming pool, pretty beach bar, another bar close to the reception that is opened 24h…but the most amazing was the treat of the personal.Everyone was nice and smiling.Always helping in everything and very professional in all senses.
Special thanks to Sir Ahmet Akin in the reception who helped us the last night in changing room due to a reparation in the shower.
I look forward visiting Paloma Foresta again🙏

Paloma Oceana Resort - Filthy kitchen and disrespectful, hostile management, total rip off and overpriced

Imagine a peaceful family dinner at the Paloma's Luxury Ultra All Inclusive restaurant, surrounded by hundreds of European guests, and, then suddenly your 4 year old child starts forcefully vomiting in front of astonished fellow tourists...Welcome to a Luxury UAI Paloma Oceana Resort!!! This is what happened to us on the 8th of June and was well captured by Paloma's CCTV. Before that, couple of days earlier, our 10 year old boy had a very similar food poisoning, apparently, from a water melon served at Paloma's restaurant. Green rotten apple was served the same day by a waiter at the beach. I have rushed to Paloma's management with an urgent query trying to find out what's going on in the kitchen and why such expensive and "highly rated" venue has such appalling hygiene issues just to bump in the wall of arguments, accusations, angry talk and no sympathy, no apology, no acknowledgement of the issue by them. Went to Guest Relations next day just to be repeated the same mantra that unless you go to a hospital and provide a certificate that your children had a food poisoning from the food consumed at our hotel, we won't believe you. As their CCTV records and hundreds of witnesses are not substantial proof. And a common sense that people don't eat outside at Ultra All Inclusive hotels - that's what they are for! Once children threw out the food consumed at Paloma's restaurant, they have become as active as before and started slowly eating again, water melon excluded from the menu, and they have been well until the end of vacation but on a cautious diet - I have also spotted that scrambled eggs smelled suspiciously odd, we stopped short of eating them too. Behind the scenes, top management, most likely, had a panic attack as I have noticed higher than usual number of kitchen inspections every day - I would not be surprised if there was an infection outbreak and other people started complaining too. To cut the story short – we didn't receive a compensation and Paloma's management pretended that nothing has ever happened - what a hypocrisy, they just want your money, that's all. I have been told by the travel agent at the hotel that this is my fault that I have given my children a water melon from their restaurant!!!
Also, commenting on a 2017 review below by Shirley D whose money had been stolen from a closed Safe I would like to confirm that both Safe Deposit boxes in our rooms have been working erratically for the duration of our stay - locking and unlocking themselves with no apparent reason. Our money wasn't stolen but I'd like to point out that their Safe equipment is not reliable (Safe`s electronic keypad is Turkish made). For a very odd reason they do not provide a shower gel and a small piece of soap will serve you for the duration of your stay, no replacement is provided unless you finish one. And this austerity programme is there for you all paying in excess of couple of thousands Euros - we have paid 3000 Euros for our 10 days’ vacation just for our children to be poisoned by Paloma's filthy kitchen. I have tried to capture the cleanliness of their glass - please see the pics. This what you will be drinking from. Having presented this glass to their Guest Relations I have been told this is normal. Finally, my conclusion is that Paloma is a total rip off and a very poor value for money. You can find much better and cheaper hotels in Turkey. We will not return and do not advise this bogus outlet to anyone. And, forgot to mention, we have been to Turkey more than a dozen times travelling extensively and staying at 3 and 4 star hotels - we have never had a food poisoning even once! This makes me think how bad things at Paloma are. We have some Government connections in Turkey and will be filing a former complaint with the authorities.

Paloma foresta antalya

10 days in absolute paradise. Warm welcome on day one and this lasted throughout. Beautiful place with the most amazing staff. Thank you to Fhemi and Umut at the sunset bar for making our experience a fun and positive one. Fantastic service by these two and the rest of the staff who constantly work all day and night with a smile on their faces. Me and my partner have left with some of the best memories we have and can’t wait to return to make some more. Thank you paloma foresta.
