Extremely capable product with an excellent company backing it up. Panopto checked off a ton of boxes for us and more. It's allowed us to easily and professionally live stream events, create and manage all of our instructional content, seamlessly integrate with Canvas (including video quizzes that sync with Canvas grades) and the ability to caption ourselves or hire it out with any number of captioning companies. My only complaint would be they need to improve the process to have students use it to submit video assignments. It's currently a bit too complicated and faculty and students tend to make mistakes in the process. Knowing Panopto though this will be addressed and I look forward to the day they improve that functionality.

I have worked with Panopto at two institutions now. I would say that they are one of the best, most responsive companies that I have worked with. The product itself is really good to use - both from an admin side and an end-user side. I like it far more than previous software I have tried and staff find it easy to use as well - as a lecture capture system and also for screencasting or capturing short, mobile videos as 'talking heads' or 'in the field'. You can also buy into a 1-click captioning service that produces human-level compliant closed captions for your videos.

Panopto gets the job done when it comes to having a way to capture, store, share and manage videos. Their video player works without the need for any additional downloads or plugins.

For video uploads, a user can upload a file or use their Panopto Recorder software. Much like social media sites, it is simple to share the video or embed it on another page.

Panopto integrate with all major LMS and have granular access controls that makes it easy to share videos inside and outside your institution.

Panopto video capture system is integrated into our Virtual Learning Environment and used thoughout our institution. It is easy to use, with an intuitive interface. Colleagues I introduce to the personal capture aspect of the system are very pleased to discover how easy it is to create their own content.
