The worst service!

The worst service!
As a professional Designer that needs access to this PANTONE library and already PAYS for it every year for it to fail to work when needed. Calling customer service sto talk to clueless bots takes away valuable time. There are no words for how BAD this company is.

Ridiculous price increase.

Ridiculous price increase.

I have been using Pantone for my business for about 18 months. It has been a struggle from day 1 for it to stay on Adobe Illustrator as it kept on disappearing from it which was hugely frustrating when I am trying to work.

I have been paying $28.74NZD a month for this service, until August 2025, when the plan (the same plan) apparently had a price increase. Ok, a few bucks more, things do go up every year. $60.74 a month, are you serious with a $42 a month price increase or 111.4% price increase. The exact same plan.
This 1-star review is more than deserving, I will stick to Illustrator colours from now on, I don’t need you.

The worst website I have been to in a long time, overly engineer to cause as much frustration for the customer as possible. Forgot my password and had no alternative way to purchase their product. Then when I called customer service they couldn't find me in their convoluted system and transferred me to a Sale Rep than I was promptly disconnected. I LOATHE this site.

Terrible experience ordering directly from Pantone…

Terrible experience ordering from Pantone...

Ordered a Neon & Pastels Pantone book direct from their website, which then was promptly lost by UPS. Customer service was impossible to reach by phone and when I contacted them via email I was told it was my responsibility to contact the couriers - this is entirely wrong, it's always the sellers responsibility until it has reached the buyer.

Customer service was then extremely slow and had to be chased at every step of the way to get any progress on the lost parcel. Finally refunded me after a month from the order, after dragging their heels pretty effectively.

Would not recommend dealing with this company directly - if you can buy from somewhere which stocks Pantone books, I implore you to do so!

DO NOT USE Pantone Connect

Pantone Connect promotes itself as a free introduction to Pantone for Photoshop and Illustrator. it is not - a subscription is required to choose and use a colour. Unfortunately, it does not work. Support useless. DO NOT USE.

DO NOT PAY FOR THIS!!!

Zero stars should be an option
Now they are charging for this? HOW!!!!

The colours are still not even accurate on screen compared to the chip books! All the apps, add-one etc are so, so, so PAINFUL to use.

This is the kind of app/experience that makes me want to slam my head through a plate glass window.

A better update would have been if someone from Pantone came to your house after installing the plug-in and shot you in the effing head.

Hit me up if anyone is up for a class action against Pantone.

Very similar story to many people

Very similar story to many people. I signed up for a free trial, deleted my account but they still charged me for the yearly 89.99. I only found this out a year later when I was changed again.

Come to find out they had created 2 accounts for me and I was being charged double. This happened because there was an error and I had to re-create an account.

I reached out to them several times and never got a response.

BEWARE!

BEWARE!! Absolutely the worst, I signed up for a free trial, then realized this is not the software for me. I immediately deleted my account the same day.
Apparently, even though my account was deleted, they still had it as "Active" since I didn't cancel my subscription. In what world can you have a deleted/deactivated account, but an active subscription?

Well, they charged me $89.99 twice and would only refund 1 of them. What a scammy and sleazy company.

When reaching out to them, I was only able to get someone on the phone 1 out of 5 calls, I then got connected to an agent via the chat function on their website (which is the only way to contact them about unauthorized charges), she was argumentative and rude and flat out told me they would not refund the total order.

I requested to be put in contact with the supervisor, she took my information and stated the supervisor would get with me when she gets back in the office. Hoping for a satisfactory resolution.

Be careful!

I signed up for a yearly Pantone…

I signed up for a yearly Pantone Connect subscription on Aug. 3, 2023 and was not able to access my account so thinking my account did not go through, I signed up again on Aug. 11, 2023. After all of this time, I am still not able to access my account as of Feb. 14, 2024!

I contacted their customer service via their only outlet (chat) and still no resolution or movement of my issue. This is a TERRIBLE way to do business!

I DO NOT recommend their services.

Be carefully buying from Pantone.com!

"Pantone is fully committed to its products" - Not at all ...
I bought the Pantone Capsure measuring device. The device does not work as described on their beautiful website. I wanted to send the device back because I was just testing it and it doesn‘t show the right Pantone maches. I got the followikf answer from the customer support: "As I have opened the original packaging, I cannot return the device". If I could give 0 stars, I would give 0 stars. Very poor customer service! Never buy anything else from there and i will share my experience with all my screenprinting community in Germany,

Pantone = big pharma greed

It's greed, robbery and double dipping. Pantone should be paying InDesign users for specing their colors on our projects so they can make money on selling their inks to our printers. There are many like me who only use their colors a few times a year and are being forced to pay their high price. I put them in the same category as greedy big pharma – they have us over a barrel with no place else to go. Plus the Pantone Connect works like junk. This is a perfect opportunity for someone to come up with an alternative to Pantone. I'd grab it in a second and wouldn't use Pantone again if they paid me.

Greed = Garbage.

So is it purely corporate greed that has taken something that worked so well and replaced it with garbage software that is nearly impossible to understand? I am almost willing to pay the $8.00 per month ransom to return the former way of using Pantone in Adobe. Just make it stop!

Pantone Connect plugin literally passed the buck to the design community with this useless tool.

Disappointing. Adobe and Pantone are shameless. Both are wrong for reaching deeper into the pockets of the design community.
Pantone libraries used to integrated into Adobe applications. Not any more.
The Pantone Connect Basic Plan is a worthless plugin. It does not allow you to add Pantone colors to your Adobe swatches. That simple/basic functionality is only available with a Premium Plan for $89.99/year. To get my team access will be close to $900/year.
That's on top of the Pantone color books we've purchased over the years. Shame on you, Pantone.
I hope this is a momentary lapse in judgement and Adobe and Pantone will come to their senses before it's too late.

Go the way of the dodo bird!

Greedy! PMS color has been in Adobe produces forever. In fact one could say they only exist because of Adobe and the designers that use it. I for one will never use their services again. Quark did this type of crap for years and the people that used their products couldn't wait till something better came along and it did. Now Quark has gone the way of the dodo. I hope they do the same!
