I will NEVER order again

This happened with an online order from the Swinton (Manchester) store but apparently it's company policy not to deliver to flat's doors even if you live in the safest area.
They have no disclaimer on the site (or at least a visible one), you get charged for delivery (because nowadays you pay for delivery) and they refuse to deliver. Who cares if the customer has a broken leg or any other mobility issues, right?
Order placed at 20:16, driver on the street at 21:02, drive refuses to deliver the food to the paying customer's door and while I'm addressing the subject with the store manager, drive drops the food somewhere on the street, leaves and marks it at delivered, manager refuses to refund because it has been "delivered", then offers to do a 2nd delivery by 22:15 as long as the customer finds a way to go outside and the store manager switched off the call while I was still talking to him. The "2nd" delivery ended up occurring at 21: 56 (1h40 after being placed) and the driver came to the flat's door without me even asking (after it's possible).
Considering they have the cheapest deals of the big 3 (when they used to be standard for quality and the more expensive), it's no wonder they are struggling to keep their doors open. And all I wanted was a relaxed night after a long week at work.
By the way, the cheesy potato tots with bacon that costs £7 had 3 little bits of bacon (probably the size of a nail on the smaller finger).
I was forced to accept this and eat that late but I will never order from Papa John's ever again.

Bad,bad,bad,bad,bad

Awful experience. Ordered at 1700 not a busy time! Delivered 2 hours later by uber. On the app the uber driver took 7 minutes so why was my pizza cold and doughy and very undercooked? Tried ringing many times but nobody picked up. I cannot express enough to avoid this pizza takeaway. Worst food in the area!

Terrible Customer Service

I ordered my pizza and side on line for collection at the Gerrards Cross franchise store and received notification it was ready. I also ordered my Uber to get me home to coincide with my picking my food up, but when I got there they had forgotten the roast chicken wings and they initially denied this, until I showed my order plus I pointed out they had charged for them. By the time the assistant had cooked the wings, I was being charged waiting time by my Uber who even threatened to leave without me. In the end the wings were only partly cooked and were lukewarm and my pizza had gone cold waiting for the side to be cooked. The staff told me I would have to discuss a refund with the store owner who I was told wasn’t regularly at the branch but they wouldn’t give me his contact details either. I was so angry I reported it on the Pappa Johns customer service site and today received a reply asking if I had gone back to the store to report the experience and they also asked me to send them photographic evidence of the food in question !! Extraordinary .. how do I show a photo of cold food ? This is terrible customer service from the branch and the head office . My advice is steer clear of Papa John’s they don’t care

Romford papa John's RUDE THIEF

Romford papa John's is a place to avoid. Bought the drinks first and got overcharged by nearly a pound and when told, they acted like nothing, to the point that when I said I'd complain, the older one told ne to f##k off. Unbelievable. Always check your receipt.

Awful

Awful. Pizza sat on counter for 2 hrs before the courier went to collect it. Manager didn’t think to remake and said just eat would be responsible for food poisoning and that we should have ordered directly and not through a third party app. Apart from that the food was obviously stone cold and the toppings barely existed. Never again.

Gross

Gross, they have changed the chicken in their chicken bites to greasy, grey, chicken. I threw up in my mouth after the first bite. I the last time I ate them they were chicken breast and it was the last thing I still ate on their menu. Happy new year! Ffs

Papa Johns Kirkcaldy

I ordered online from the carpark outside the store at 21.25 on the 31st December 2025. I went directly into the store at 21.30 to wait on my order - they are usually pretty quick, 10 mins tops.
The guy making the Pizza wasn't busy when I went in. He was not making any pizza just talking on his phone. I stood for at least 15 mins waiting, I then asked if he had recieved my order as i wondered why he wasn't making any pizzas 🤷🏼‍♂️.
He told me, " I don't work for you" and " do you have any ID ? ". Why would he ask that ? He then continued on his phone.

He answered the stores phone 2 or 3 times and used the PC keyboard too. He didnt wash his hands (no gloves were worn) after touching the phones or keyboard. He continued to handle the food 🤮

He started making my pizza 30 mins after placing my order ( no other pizzas were made in that time) and he continued speaking on the phone. He kept asking for my name and ID and he kept telling me he didn't work for me. I eventually received my pizza 1 hr later.

I usually order from KIRKCALDY papa johns at least 2 or 3 times per month. I've now deleted the papa johns app and won't be back.

His aggresive attitude, poor hygiene,
and zero customer skills were very worrying. This guy was despicable!!!

I look forward to Papa Johns response.

Ordered food

Ordered food, been waiting 29 mins past delivery time to ring up and say that they had received the order but no delivery drivers, haven't bothered cancelling the order or advising me, so I have waited for like 1.5 hours for no reason, absolute joke

Very disappointing...

Very disappointing food and service lately from Southampton Park Gate branch.
We used to regularly order and enjoy Papa Johns, however for the past 3 orders, we have experienced missing items and cold, bland pizzas, and late delivery with our order being sat on the Checking & Cutting stage for over an hour. Also, the deals used to be excellent as there were different options to cater to different order sizes.. it is no longer possible for us to get cost effective pizza from them. Not that we will be ordering again now after how terrible the food was on our last order.

had my first Papa Johns pizza just now and unfortunately it will be my last, it was totally bland the dough the pineapple and the ham, I could be eating anything , there was absolutely no taste at all will never ever have another one

Worst experience I’ve had with Papa…

Worst experience I’ve had with Papa John’s.
The pizza arrived completely squashed, toppings spilled everywhere, and ice cold. It looked like the box had been thrown around before it got to me. When I contacted customer service, instead of helping, they were extremely rude and dismissive and acted like it wasn’t their problem. No apology, no solution. Between the ruined food and the awful attitude, this place has gone downhill. I won’t be ordering again

We ordered the Kick off combo deal on 28.12.25. Order Number: E1702.

We received the wrong order and some items missing. When we called and spoke with Gunjun at Papa John's Oldbury she was not interested. She failed to understand the issue and kept repeating herself without a resolution. We asked to speak to the manager, Navjeet, who we heard say, I don't want to speak and failed to address our issue. Our evening is ruined due to the incompetence and unwilling to correct their error. Not going to be ordering from Papa John's again. Now we have to order pizza's from another place.

Thieves and scammers

Ordered 3 XXL pizzas yesterday. Uber Eats Driver turned up with only 2. He admitted that he had dropped one pizza on the road and that he would contact the store and they would either reimburse me my monies or send another pizza. He also took a picture of me holding only 2 pizzas as proof. When I rang the store up about my 3rd pizza they stated that the delivery driver stated that he had delivered 3 pizzas to me and I would not get any refund. I have the proof and also have found the 3rd pizza on top of my bin and the garlic sauce all over the road. I have the ring doorbell and my eufy security camera with the driver stating he had dropped the 3rd pizza on the floor and then 1 minute later putting it on my dustbin...I will be taking action against Papa Johns and Uber Eats.
