Terrible, avoid

Terrible, stay away.
It started just after booking, we’d paid for two dogs but unfortunately one passed away before our stay, they wouldn’t refund the money we’d paid (haven did)
On arrival we’d been given the grottiest van imaginable, the curtains were hanging off and the boiler didn’t work. Ripped carpet and general dirt and grime everywhere. Never again.

Stay away!!

Stay away!!

Family of 4 stayed at Parkdean Newquay in a static caravan.
Upon arrival we visited the restaurant as we arrived at 7pm and with 2 hungry children we were turned away at the door for not having a pass to enter, I tried to explain we just wanted food in the restaurant and not go into the entertainment hall but the elderly security man kept repeating " pass to come in building"
So had to travel with 2 tired kids into Newquay to find them food. Returned later that night to and put little ones into their beds only to find 2 maggots crawling on the bed I have pics and videos to support this.
It's the shortest stay I have ever had the very next morning we left for home, and didn't get refunded the 2 nights we we didn't stay.
Complained at reception when leaving and couldn't care less attitude just sarcastic "Have a safe journey home "
Emailed to complain to someone higher up and their reply wasn't much better so clearly this is a Parkdean attitude and not specific to this park as we initially thought.
Ahhh we did get offered £25 off future stay suffice to say I told them where they can put that !
For the prices you pay for Parkdean stays it's completely unacceptable save your money book elsewhere or pay the £200 + more and go abroad !
Parkdean won't be about long judging by the negative left all over the net .

We stayed at Parkdean Touring site in…

We stayed at Parkdean Touring site in Westgate.

The touring facilities are poor and very basic - we booked a serviced pitch but it did not include water or waste.

The site was untidy and had a very uncared-for appearance. The toilets were terrible, smell of urine and needed steam cleaning. Showers were not much better

The whole site was unwelcoming and of a poor standard.

Although wifi was offered there was none abailable

Trecco Bay caravan park. Urine in main bedroom carpets, and sewage smell in kids bedroom.

We are staying at Trecco Bay, south Wales.
Third time saying here. There is a heavy stench of urine in the main bedroom carpets. Just to mention, it is a pet free caravan, but found dog hair. Not sure if human wee or animal!!!. Toilets not cleaned properly. Kids bedroom sticks of sewage. I'm in the carpet trade, and I heavly recommend that carpets are replaced with tough vinyl or a type of karndean flooring. Not sure if trecco Bay will spend or take my advice. That will make all caravans easy to clean, and be hygienic for the next customers. Even though the caravan is meant to be pet free, it will not stop people sneeking animals on site to stay in them. I even witnessed one family with a bloomin rabbit!! It's the way to go guy's!! Come on!!!!

Disappointing stay at Ty Mawr

Whilst we are great fans of Wales as a holiday destination, it did not take us long to form a negative opinion of the Parkdean Ty Mawr park. The caravan was surprisingly small, especially given the price paid, and was also not especially well maintained. For example, the dining table was unstable and had some of the veneer peeling off. The radiator in the bathroom was not well attached and could potentially have been unsafe. The caravans in general were packed in pretty tight, with little room for parking or for children to play.

The swimming pool was too small and became overcrowded, with us being turned away on the first occasion as a result. There was no time limit, even at busier times, which could lead to indefinite queuing as you wait for someone to leave. 2/3 toilets had broken locks and there was an insufficient number of changing rooms. Some of the coating on the pool was also flaking off and pieces littered the bottom of the pool.

The chip shop seemed under staffed and disorganised. I had approximately a 40-50 minute wait for food and the chips were easily the worst I have had in years. Greasy mush in a crispy coating, possibly due to too cold oil and an extended cooking time. Most of them went in the bin and the small amount eaten was enough to cause upset stomachs.

The restaurant was better quality, albeit nothing special but a second visit there did see us waiting nearly an hour for an order, which arrived seeming like it had been under the heat lamps for a bit too long.

Only a few positives give me reason to rate this higher than a 1 but we shall not be returning in the future and will likely not visit other Parkdean parks either.

What a joke

What a joke. Paid for one of the top lodges and half board. Lodge cabin was dirty. Was crayons on the walls and yogurt stains all over the 2 piece suit. Foods services was disgraceful. Food comes out put then you had to wait 5 minutes for your knife and folk by that time your meal as gone cold. The best was the last day we had to eat our starter and main with our hands. Never will I be going there again.

My honest opinion of parkdean Mullion…

My honest opinion of parkdean Mullion which I've been a regular customer of in the years gone bye. well first I'd like to say it's nose dived in recent years its reach the absolute rock bottom... I and my family will never go back there the cleaners are usless the maintenance is incredibly bad the staff are extremely rude all kids play areas shut at 4:45 That includes the swimming pools inside and out bye the way the swimming pools where shut 12:30 till 2pm on a brilliant bank holiday weather weekend they sold no lager in the bar at all gett ing back to the cleaners my grand daughter came out of the bedroom holding a used condom an asking what's this ??? DISGUSTING make your own mind up our bungalow a box with Windows that didn't even open my son stayed in a caravan which had a hole in the floor in the toilet and we were told from Maintenance that the caravan was condemned last year to be scrapped but is still in use this year so make your own minds up

California cliffs

Had a week from the 7th May at California cliffs , got a 2 bed caravan, we arrived a bit late due to a breakdown but the security had everything ready and waiting so thumbs up to them.
The caravan was basic and clean andhad everything you needed although I did find the bathroom a bit small but I am a big chap, the towel heater was a bit too close to the toilet but you soon got used to not bending over Lol, the shower was ample size and hot water on demand so good with there been 4 of us. Its a small site so the caravans are a bit closer then other Parkdean resorts I have visited but parking was not a problem and always got out of the site OK, the shop was very good and had most things you need, I did understand that they would not have a full range after all they have a restaurant and the food we had was good, on site so dont expect to see more than basics, but the staff are great and very helpful, there is 2 takeways and a chippy on site and the usual arcades are there for the kids, its a short walk to the beach and a nice beach sandy with a few pebbles beware though if you have difficulty walking its a steep climb and steps to get to the beach, all the staff were great always had an hello and a smile, the bar staff were great, to be fair the sales staff were great as well, I did get asked if i wanted to look at a caravan to buy but was not pressured when I said no, just a you know where we are if you change your mind, entertainment as it was the week was more for adults and was not bad in fact 2 acts were very good the magician and a singer Alan Savage also if you like live music a pub just a short walk have bands on at the weekend, would I stay again yes its a good base for exploring clean and the staff are great, I have been to a few sites with this group and cannot complain the price is good, going to Cornwall later in the year but have upgraded to a larger caravan as the kids are coming with us again, also going to Kessingland with my own caravan as well this is another great site, dont be put off with any negative comments some people expect a 5* hotel room not a caravan and for the price it is very good value

Park dean Borth very bad service for the price charged.

Just back from a Easter break at Borth park dean site staying on there touring "Hard standing" pitches. Where do I begin!! The booking process was difficult as didn't really want Friday to Friday holiday but was told this was all we could book. On arrival we booked in and was told to take our pick of any available pitches, most pitches were covered by abandoned static caravans but we're then moved to one side with a tractor which churned up the already bogged and water logged pitches. The hard standing pitches were not large enough for any standard size caravan in length and bearly in width. The newly refurbished (not finished) toilet blocks located amongst the static vans and so used by them regularly, as there was only 1 shower per female and 1 male there was often a que and worse still no hot water resulting in stone cold showers. There was no waste water drainage point and the washing up / Elson point facilities were not fit for purpose, dirty and to put it mildly run down. Complaints were made both to the general manager on site and customer services via email to be told the weather had been bad and this couldn't be helped. Would not use park dean sites again.

Worst site ever

Just stayed at Bryson water for Easter weekend would never go back we have been to quiet a few parkdean resorts but I would never return to this. The cooker only had one shelve unit there was no storage in kitchen .the bedding was disgusting the duvets where thin the pillows where flat we paid an upgrade for this van the rip which in my eyes did not justified. The site and no parking you drove on the grass which was all a mess the site was not kept good I would expect more for the money no shop on site you had to walk down the road to find one .On arrival we whet told we could not go in van till 4 pm but the ladies took our phone number and told us she would phone when it was ready. She told us which van it was so we went round to look and it was ready but nobody phoned us so went back to office ourselves to me this site is the worst ever I have been to we book over 5 breaks a year with park Dean after this I will take my business to someone else. To make matters worse the vans around use had more people in them thsnvthey should the one at the side of use had 10 people in it the one in front had 9 this is not legal when vans are not that size I myself have been very disappointed this time I think someone needs to sort this site out .also no information given on arrival to local sites or where to go and places of interest which is not good .dog poo on grounds disgusting

Just finishing our stay at Holywell bay…

Just finishing our stay at Holywell bay we have had a great time thanks to one particular member of staff Steve as he went out of his way to make sure everything was ok as we had a few issues with the food on the first two nights but Steve was fantastic at sorting it out. Great place to stay 3 minutes from the beach would highly recommend.

ParkDean Ocean Edge Resort Heysham

In Oct17 just returned from our second visit this year to the ParkDean Ocean Edge resort in Heysham. As usual we had a fabulous time. We are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 kids and a dog and spent a week at the park. We chose this kind of holiday as we wanted to take our dog and have the flexibility to go anywhere we liked and to eat when we wanted. We were in a modern Willerby Caravan which was both spacious and clean and had good facilities including gas oven, microwave, large TV and remote fire as well as full central heating. We used this site for a base to visit the South Lakes, the Trough of Bowland and Lancaster. Entertainment in the resort was good with something on every night, we went on Halloween and our last night and the room was busy both nights and the entertainment staff work very hard to keep everyone involved. On other nights we went bowling or ate out in Morecambe. There are some great walks also in the local area including Heysham and Half Moon Bay. No doubt we will be back again…

Awful experience

Awful experience. Booked a family holiday online for myself, my husband, 4 year old daughter & my dad who had just recently lost his wife. We had hoped some family time would help all of us at this sad time. Arrived at the park and there was no booking to be found even though i had all booking details with me. Was left out in the cold and given the runaround until gone 10pm. Customer care has been of no help and Parkdean havent even acknowledged my emails. Both hoseasons and parkdean have been an absolute let down. Rude, unhelpful staff.

Really good experience of the Sun deal

We booked the £9.50 Sun deal at Kessingland, Suffolk. It isn't really £9.50, as you have to pay for 4 people minimum, even if there are 2 of you, and there is service charge and bedding on top, but we knew this and £80 for 5 days was still a good break. As it was a cheap deal I was expecting a basic and old caravan, but we got a lovely caravan that looked new for the season. The site has all the amenities you would expect. The restaurant is a bit like a Harvester (without the salad bowl!) and decent value. The showroom is spacious, though was empty due to when we went in May, but the show went on with the club staff performing alright and a decent magician. There was the inevitable bingo and quiz, which we sadly won! The beach will be a big disappointment if you want a sandy beach for the family. It is a wide grassy/pebbly area with a pebble beach after the trek to the sea. There is sand about a mile further up the beach to Lowestoft but it is quite a haul along the beach. The beach was full of dog walkers ignoring the signs about large fines for dog mess! There is a pub (which apparently sells masses of real ales, but was packed the Tuesday we tried to get in and were turned away!) and a nice restaurant (where we went instead) about 10 minutes walk along the sea front into the village and a decent zoo in Kessingland. It is convenient for Lowestoft, Great Yarmouth, the Broads etc., but expect heavy traffic everywhere on jammed roads and very iffy driving standards. Still, a lovely caravan site with friendly, appreciative staff everywhere. We will save our tokens for next year!
