From Bad to Disturbing – Do Not Stay Here

Please do not book this hotel.
We arrived on Friday to celebrate our 3-year wedding anniversary, but from the moment we got there, the experience was unacceptable. On arrival, we weren’t greeted and ended up waiting around 30 minutes just to check in, while two other couples were actively complaining and requesting full refunds—one of them had only received their room keys 10 minutes earlier. It was alarming to witness, but we tried to stay positive.
Unfortunately, things only got worse when we entered our room. The smell of damp was overwhelming. The bathroom was filthy and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The carpets were covered in sand, food debris, and dirt. When we pulled back the bedding, we found blood stains, hairs, and yellow marks—completely unacceptable.
We went back to reception to complain, where another family was also demanding a refund. After waiting about 20 minutes, staff apologised and explained they were dealing with staff shortages and illness. They assured us the room would be thoroughly cleaned, with fresh sealed bedding provided.
We had already made anniversary dinner plans, so we left and returned later to get ready. While the bedding appeared new and the carpets slightly improved, the damp smell remained, mixed with strong cleaning chemicals. Not wanting to ruin our weekend, we carried on with our evening.
The next morning, around 8am, we were woken by staff loudly arguing outside our room. My husband asked them to stop, but they refused and told him to go back inside. We had to call reception ourselves before the situation was dealt with.
What happened next was completely unacceptable and deeply distressing. While we were in our room, the door was suddenly opened by a staff member without warning. We were clearly inside. My husband confronted him immediately, but the staff member claimed he “didn’t know anyone was in there”—despite having been outside our room earlier. There was no apology, no urgency to leave—nothing. The situation felt invasive, inappropriate, and extremely unsettling.
I was left feeling shocked and unsafe.
My husband went straight to reception to speak to a manager, who showed little sympathy and did not seem surprised by what had happened. We demanded a full refund, but they refused to refund the night we had already stayed, only offering reimbursement for the second night—which we obviously did not feel safe staying.
After leaving, we read other reviews and were horrified to find similar reports of staff entering rooms unannounced, as well as other deeply concerning incidents.
We have reported this to the police and are currently awaiting a response.
This was meant to be a special anniversary, but instead it turned into a deeply upsetting and disturbing experience. I would strongly advise others to avoid this hotel.

Awful

Awful. See below (and above all, don’t book here!)
1. The downstairs lobby has a very peculiar and not at all pleasant smell.
2. The lobby and stairs carpet was very dirty and needed hoovering.
3. The unpleasant smell continued upstairs into the hallway
4. Upon entering the room, it was blatantly obvious that the room had not been hoovered properly and we actually had to find a hoover and do this ourselves.
5. The bathroom was damp, smelled of mould and was exceptionally small.
6. The overall decor was shabby, unkempt and grubby.
7. The radiator in the room made such a noise despite being turn off, that neither of us actually slept.
8. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows very hard.
9. The bar closed at 10pm
10. Aside from breakfast, there were no options for food of any kind.
All in all it was a most unsatisfactory experience and one I would not wish to repeat. Having paid £98 for one night, I did not anticipate having to clean my own room or be so incredibly disappointed in the overall facilities. I would recommend you seek alternative accommodation elsewhere.

I booked this Bournemouth Hotel on the strength it was a Radisson. The good first. No problem with the Staff and the linen was clean.
Filthy carpets, debris left behind chairs and under the bed. The room had been repainted by a child judging by the quality of work.
Had to ask for toilet roll, no shampoo or body wash in containers.
Supposed to be a non smoking room but clearly it stunk of old tobacco, the bathroom had a smell like no other a mix of tobacco and chemical very strange and over powering if the door to the room was closed.
I use UK Hotels every couple of weeks and this one was the pits .

STAY AWAY

Disgusting 🤮 room! I have seen cleaner carpets in pubs and nightclubs! Room is dirty and falling to bits. See the photos! Staying two nights, arrived last night after long drive and day at the office, all I wanted was a hot shower, no hot water at 7pm! Came back tonight and room not made up! So no tea in the morning! I have stayed in Park Inn Radisson Hotels before, never again! I thought anything Scandinavian meant quality, sadly, not any more! I found out at work today the hotel is being ‘used’ by the local council! Don’t stay here!

Thirty nights here

Thirty nights here, and the highlight was discovering my headboard was apparently made of glass — because nothing says comfort like sleeping in a furniture showroom. And then there’s Brenda, the blonde lady with the bargain-bin neck tattoo, strutting around like she’s headlining Coachella. Rude, dismissive, and with the customer service skills of a traffic warden. Between the sewage smell, the tragic breakfast, and Brenda’s diva act, this hotel should come with a health warning. She was rude as hell, strutting like she owns the hotel, when really she’s just the poster child for why customer service reviews exist.
A true 3-star comedy horror.

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. On the outside it looks great. I booked the room through expedia for TD, misleadingly looking at the photos on the website. The wifi did not work. The TV didn’t work. The bed they said it was a queen but it was a double bed size. They should be charging what they did charge.

Fraudulent reviews, awful hotel, hilariously poor service

This hotel fakes their own reviews on Booking.com, and probably here too. On Booking.com their review score is 8.3, based on that I made a booking. I then looked at other sites and found that their 8.3 is in fact completely fraudulent, as evidenced by their one word, perfect score reviews. The real reviews show a hotel with filthy bedding, dilapidated rooms, exposed electrics, etc. I tried to cancel my booking within 20 mins of creating it and they refused to cancel anything. Seems this is their business model. Avoid at all costs!

Stay away from Frankfurt park inn Radison

I booked to stay at park in radison in Frankfurt. I booked a disabled room with two single beds as my friend who was with me we get to hotel lady at the reception tells me they dont have two single beds Disabled even doe this is what was confirmed from these GANGSTERS. I ended up having to stay in unaccessible room not being able to shower. The toilets in the lobby was under construction so Faulty Towers best suits this place. The bar maid was also the cheif cooking the meals total calamity of a Hotel. I'd steer clear if you have a Disability as these are Liars with terrible hotel service. 1 star would be a complement.

Awful experience

I stayed here this week and I can say that’s there is some kind of scam going on with the Radisson hotels and Booking.com. I booked the hotel through booking.com and was given a price of £84 for a room with a free upgrade to sea view. This was clearly shown throughout the booking process . Once I booked I got charged £106.20 which I thought strange…I book regularly through booking.com and the advertised price is always what you get charged. Talked to the hotel and they weren’t interested. I talked to booking.com and they said if I could provide a screenshot of the price then they would refund…knowing full well that they have disabled this feature from their app. Now having to go through my bank to recover the money.
As for the hotel…expensive for what it is. Needs a lick of paint and looks a bit tired and has a foisty smell. I’d advise that you don’t take your car as they have no carpark and if you use the adjacent carparks then you will be charged £25 per day. Not convinced I’ll be going back to Southend anytime soon.

Complete lack of consideration and no solution offered in an exceptional situation

I booked this hotel (Park Inn Makkah Thaker Algharbi) via Hotels.com in April 2025, unaware that access to the city of Mecca was restricted during that period to holders of a Hajj visa only. As I had a tourist visa, I was physically unable to reach the hotel due to police checkpoints and roadblocks.

There was no mention of this government restriction on either the Hotels.com listing or the hotel’s official website. Other platforms, such as Airbnb, clearly display a warning before booking.

Despite acting in good faith and making several attempts to resolve the issue—both with Hotels.com and directly with the hotel—the property refused to offer any refund, credit, or even engage in a discussion. All of this, despite the fact that I couldn’t use the service for reasons entirely beyond my control.

This complete lack of understanding, empathy, and flexibility is unacceptable for a hotel of this category. I strongly advise against booking this property, especially during sensitive times like the Hajj season, and urge travelers to be extremely cautious before confirming a reservation.

Don’t bother stay somewhere else.

This is a poor hotel and lets the Radisson brand down. They couldn’t find our reservation despite me showing them the email confirmation. The printer had no ink and I was asked to sign a blank piece of paper. The lift can only accept one person or a large suitcase. The room was clean but there were obvious issues with the window it had been poorly repaired. The shower did not work and would only provide scalding water. The reception smelt of damp. The breakfast was poor the cheapest of meat little choice cold, coffee/tea. Only the cheapest supermarket bread juice which was diluted to almost water and the dining room smelt strongly of damp.

Unsatisfactory stay at park inn by Radisson in…

We stayed at park inn by Radisson in Goa. It was marketed as a 4 star hotel but we had quite a few issues. It was very noisy almost all the time. The ventilation system was extremely loud even without air conditioning being on. The rooms were clean but very dated and needed refurbishing. The facilities stated on the website did not exist for example it says there is a laundry service, they did not.

The staff were nice and tried to be helpful but the hotel policies just don’t make sense.

Not easily accessible for anyone with…

Not easily accessible for anyone with even slight mobility issues. Ubers not allowed to front entrance and it is paved with uneven cobbles going up sharp incline aprroaching from any direction. I asked for a quiet room and was placed under the hotel's air con system. I was relocated but it was far from quiet. Stayed 4 nights and not one did I sleep all all night. Doors slamming; people shouting and one night screaming; on two separate occasions someone knocked on the door waking me up. My room a few times reaked of cigarette smoke and the table had a mind of it's own - randomly extended itself up when I was out of room.
House keeping were fine if you ordered stuff to be brought up. Room cleaning was adequate. Front desk staff were variable but made no effort to help get through the ridiculously difficult to push revolving door. To use the refil tap you need two thumbs to click it to work found this out after a sarcastic demonstration. The area is quite barren and quite a few shady characters lurking at the station.
All in all I would not return here.

False marketing

This review is on the hotel by Oslo airport. When I made my reservation the website stated there was free parking. After I had checked in I was informed there was a charge for parking. If I had known there was a change in policy (the webpage still showed free parking) I would have chosen another hotel further up the motorway. False marketing. Fix the website and inform your guests. I booked directly via the Radisson App. Otherwise you shouldn’t charge your guests - which you did weeks later.

Park Inn by Radisson Hotel, Cardiff City Centre Review

I decided to provide a review of Park Inn by Radisson, Cardiff City Centre before I leave the hotel for 3 reasons:

1) After booking the room, the level of aftercare provide, offering support to ensure my needs were met on arrival was very good (CSAT score: 8/10)
2). On arrival, front desk staff PEACE was outstanding. She deserves an employee of the month award for her attention to detail, care and support to those checking in and out of the hotel. From the moment that I arrived, desperate to find the ladies, to arriving back at the desk when she was attending to someone else, to helping me sort out my car prepayment, to booking a taxi for me to a birthday party venue, Peace delivered exceptional service. (CSAT score: 11/10)
3) My room was very pleasant; nothing like many of the reviews portrayed. The room was squeaky clean, carpet clean, bed linen fresh. I have a room overlooking reception. I don’t have an issue looking out of the window onto the reception area. The blackout curtains worked well. CSAT score: 7/10. Breakfast wasn’t as great as some of the reviews portrayed. For that reason, I would give a CSAT score: 5/10.

Overall, Peace has made my first experience with this hotel brand a memorable one, on par with the Marriott or Four Seasons. For this reason, I give an overall CSAT score or 8.5/10 and a NPS rating of Yes to recommending others to use the hotel, but to check in and check out with Peace if she is on the front desk.

MANCHESTER CITY PARK INN - Complaint repeatedly Ignored

Complaint repeatedly Ignored

My wife and I stayed between 12-14 July ‘24, firstly we arrived around 7pm on 12 July. Having received an email advising to use the car park across the road, we attempted to do this but it was full due to an event at the AO Arena. I drove off and attempted to call the hotel reception around 10 times using the telephone number provided on the email (0161 832 7474) The first call was answered and immediately cut off, the next weren’t answered at all. I was simply seeking advice where else we could park. I had to find somewhere myself. When I arrived at reception it was quiet and I couldn’t understand why my calls weren’t answered. I mentioned this and was met with a blank expression by your receptionist. While in the room I wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness initially. I wanted to make a cup of tea and I couldn’t as I realised the spoons were filthy, something like chocolate or faeces on it. Also one cup was stained. It wasn’t a great first impression. This was reported to reception but I was just told to take cups from the conference area. Most frustrating was the TV. It constantly kept cutting out to a black screen and we had to restart it to get a picture again. (This was reported to reception during stay - unresolved) and at check out, at which point we were offered a free breakfast but as we had to get home, we couldn’t accept it.

Also the noise generally outside the room got the entire stay made it difficult for us to enjoy the stay.

I’m sorry to complain but the stay wasn’t enjoyed or restful because of these things and we had paid £360 for two nights. I would expect a lot more in terms of standards considering the amount we paid.

I complained twice to Park Inn Manchester City Centre directly as the online form wouldn’t work, only to be ignored both times. Do better please.
