I honestly cannot recommend Park Lane…

I honestly cannot recommend Park Lane Autos highly enough. From start to finish the communication was excellent. Maria on reception kept me updated every step of the way. Whether I was in the office, out at lunch or unable to answer my phone, she would always leave detailed voicemails explaining exactly what was happening with the car, what parts had been ordered, when they had arrived and what the next steps were. That level of communication genuinely removes the stress because anyone leaving their car at a garage worries about delays, costs and not knowing what is going on. With Park Lane Autos I always felt informed and reassured.

They explained they work with multiple suppliers and distributors which meant they could source parts quickly and at very competitive prices. The labour rates were also far more reasonable than many other garages I have used in the past and there was no pressure or unnecessary upselling.

What impressed me most was the electrical work. I have an RAC warranty which covers a lot of mechanical issues but unfortunately does not cover electrical wiring faults. A lot of modern garages rely heavily on diagnostic machines and fault code readers without properly understanding the actual electrical side of vehicles. Once a fault code points towards wiring, many places are completely lost because electrical tracing and circuit testing takes real experience and patience.

My Vauxhall Astra diesel had an issue with the rear indicator and bulb assembly wiring. The previous repair had clearly been done badly. The bulb holder socket terminals had excessive wear and poor pin contact tension, causing intermittent resistance across the connector block. The copper contacts inside the rear cluster socket had oxidised and flattened over time, meaning the bulb pins were no longer seating correctly against the terminals. There was also evidence of heat stress around the connector due to poor continuity and voltage fluctuation. Instead of just replacing random parts based on a diagnostic code, the mechanics actually tested the circuit properly, checked the earth continuity, inspected the pin alignment and identified the exact fault within around 30 minutes.

That is proper mechanical knowledge and experience, not just plugging a car into a computer and guessing.

The garage itself was absolutely packed when I was there which says a lot on its own. Every bay was busy and you could see the mechanics working hard and even staying late to get jobs completed quickly for customers. Despite being busy, they still took the time to explain everything clearly and treat customers properly.

Excellent service, excellent communication, fair prices and genuine skilled mechanics who actually know what they are doing. I will definitely be using Park Lane Autos again.

Also Traded as Mayfair Autos Ltd. Some VERY interesting reviews for them!
Denied ever selling me the car despite receiving the bank transfer. Some kock (edited) and bull story about 'lending' the site to 'Adam' and he owed them money hence the transfer. They did sell my 'scrapped' Jaguar however despite its condemned subframe (they covered it with sealant and got a dodgy new MOT). If you now own LJ60NBB get that subframe checked. The car I bought was not roadworthy. It had a stripped main wheel hub pinch bolt which would never tighten and a broken suspension mount. Cost me £600 to put right. I can't be arsed to chase them for the money, I don't need the stress! AVOID PARK LANE CARS! !!
