The Second Installation To Have Been Done Wrong/Poorly
I had my carpet laid on January 19, 2017. The carpet looks just terrible and I am completely unhappy with it. The installer that they sent did a terrible job. Every trade, and other person, who has come into my home and seen the carpet has commented on how terrible it looks; we have even been asked if we laid it ourselves.
I have spoken with the woman who sold me the carpet and have sent her pictures of how bad the carpet looks. So far it seems as if they are trying to place the blame on me for picking this type of carpet and for unavoidable delays in having the carpet installed.
I had their representative come out and measure the rooms; I had their installer come in and install the carpet. If I had picked a bad carpet for this space, I would have expected either the woman who took my order and/or the gentleman who measured the rooms to advise me of that. I would certainly have taken their advice. All that was mentioned was that there would have to be seams. I have had many carpets laid and most of them have had seams. This is the first time I have ever had seams look this bad.
What makes this worse is that I had CarpetOne measure for, and install, a wood look linoleum in my living room last year. The linoleum was measured and laid the wrong way in the room. Every trade or person who knows flooring who has seen the floor, has instantly commented on it being laid the wrong way. I never even received an apology from CarpetOne. I would not have gone back to them for my carpet except that I learned that they HAD fired the person who measured for my linoleum. I was, however, still charged the full price to have my linoleum installed the wrong way.
