only purchase through a Vendor…

I have purchased Patagonia products for years. I placed two orders: one for a replacement jacket for myself and the other as a gift. I highly recommend only purchasing from a Vendor who has the capability of tracking a purchase .To date, the gift tracking has not produced any results ..Patagonia platform requests that you place your phone number into their system ....one then gets bombarded with ads ...but the software says the " gift " cannot be located via their automated system, and contact customer service ....no thanks, enough time has been spent on these purchases...next time i'll purchase through REI.PERIOD what a pain.

Best Backpack ever

My Patagonia backpack has been my constant companion for years and has never once broke in the slightest way. Durable in a way I didn't think possible.

What a disappointment

What a disappointment. I have purchased Patagonia clothes for three decades and have slowly observed a decline in their packaging (paper is fine, folks) and packing for shipping. Today I received a large order that appeared to have been thrown in an oversized box, which scattered bits of debris all over the unwrapped clothing (again, a paper wrapping would have been great for protection). The box was crushed because it was oversized for the contents. These items were gifts, and the lack of care exhibited makes me want to look elsewhere to obtain the kind of clothing Patagonia makes so well. As the title indicates, "a disappointment."

Great Quality, Customer Service, and Website

I have been consistently impressed with the product quality, customer service, and ease of website usage at Patagonia. I have purchased numerous items from Patagonia over the years that truly stand the test of time. Some of my all-time favorite items are the original fleetwith romper in black, the synchilla fleece, and the nanopuff vest. When I have had issues with items (down coming out, zipper breaking, hole in snowpants, etc.) Patagonia has been generous with their warranty policy and getting me a replacement. I am a loyal customer and will be for a long time to come!

Patagonia’s Ironclad Guarantee is just empty marketing

I’ve been a loyal Patagonia customer for years. Over half of my wardrobe is Patagonia because I truly believed in their values and especially their so-called Ironclad Guarantee. But now I see it’s just empty marketing.

I recently contacted customer service after learning that some Patagonia products may contain PFAS, dangerous and potentially cancer-causing chemicals. I provided the product codes and asked if they could confirm whether any of mine contained PFAS. Their response? “We don’t know, we don’t keep a database.” How can a brand that prides itself on responsibility not know which of their products contain toxic substances?

My main concern was a Torrentshell STY83802 jacket I’ve barely used. I simply asked to exchange it for the exact same model, but without PFAS, using their beloved Ironclad Guarantee. Their answer? A flat NO.

So what’s the point of this guarantee? What’s the point of all their talk about sustainability, health, and ethics if they won’t support a customer who’s just trying to feel safe wearing their clothes?

I will never buy Patagonia again. A brand that claims to care but refuses to take real responsibility for the harm their products may cause.

The Torrentshell 3L jacket is not waterproof

This jacket is not fit for purpose. It’s going to cost me £500 to replace my iPhone, which was flooded with water while in the pocket. I am angry with Patagonia and their disingenuous marketing claims.

Over a year ago I bought a Torrentshell 3L jacket from a Cotswold shop. I noticed on several occasions that the inside got damp even in light rain, and sometimes the insides of the sleeves could be wet. Today I got caught in heavy rain in the middle of a walk. 30 minutes later I was back home. My trousers were totally sodden as expected. However, the inside of my jacked was very damp, including the insides of the pockets. My iPhone which was inside a coat pocket was completely non functional, as the touch acreen did not work. Whenever I pressed an onscreen screen button, it would do something unexpected. I took off the case, and out poured water. The phone was obviously wet inside. 12 hours later and the phone was still not working. Now the screen is dead. This is unacceptable. I paid a fortune - £180 - for a coat described as waterproof. It replaced my £60 Peter Storm jacket which was not waterproof, and it’s no better. In fact it’s worse because it costs far more, and has no useful inner pocket.

The coat is not rubbish, it’s well made and looks good, but the waterproof claims are false. It’s suitable only for drizzle and light rain. After a couple of hours in heavy rain I would have been soaked through. £180 is a lot of money, it turns out it is just a fancy massively overpriced fashion statement, a trendy name, but no substance.

Damaged Goods

Bought my partner a jacket in an online sale. £168 and it arrived with damage to the sleeve and lining hanging out. Contacted Patagonia and they advised to return and offered a 10% promo code off the reorder.
The code doesn't work and it will take over 2 weeks to process the refund from the first return. Second coat hasn't arrived yet.
So I've paid for 2 coats and currently have ZERO coats.
Probably best to avoid this brand

haughty staff members

Delivered an item to the store to be returned, which was fine, but was treated really disrespectfully by a haughty millennial female who worked there ( Fitzroy outlet). She even whispered something about me to her workmate as they looked at me as I was still in the store...!? Please employ older people who have learnt some social skills!???

Quality has Declined, Poor Product, Poor Support

Had purchased multiple jackets from them before without issue

A recent purchase 11.24.24 of a winter shell jacket ripped the first day of use due to defect.

I contacted Patagonia and got return started. I asked for jacket or refund to the card I used for purchase.
More than two months later. January 30, I receive an email that I have a credit.
Winter is almost over and I had to purchase another jacket.
Not impressed with product, warranty or customer service.

Winter's over but Patagonia keeps my money

Shocking experience for Irish customers

The coat itself is a much lighter green colour than the photo and the down filling is uneven however my issue is with Patagonia's inflexible returns policy. Patagonia advertises itself as a forward thinking and eco-conscientious brand however it doesn't provide modern return methods such as collection from home from customers who don't own a car as they want to reduce emissions. The customer service representative didn't respond to my message for over a week after an initial response and say it isn't possible to switch to use the QR code method which I find highly unlikely due to modern software or arrange a collection from home. Patagonia aren't even registered as a trusted retailer with the Irish national postal service which provides printer free return collections from home. The customer service representative has just said that as a clothing company it isn't their responsibility but quite clearly it is due to EU regulations on consumer purchases and the fact that cheaper brands manage to arrange this. Please organise a home returns collection and refund my money or I will take this complaint further.

Ordered on time for Christmas and even paid NDA just to make sure and still getting all shipments

Unbelievable.....spent nearly $700 and paid to have pkg shipped next day air. One item made it before Christmas but the rest didn't. So disappointed in not only the service but the customer service when I called to find out where the pkg was. I was assured it would be here and arrive before Christmas. Well, now they are closed and enjoying their holiday and ai have no presents to give.
