Overcharged ! Overpriced ! Outrageous
Avoid at ALL costs.
Paul Newman was the first company to respond to my enquiry re a Vileroy&Bosch basin and vanity unit. They advised there was only 2 stock of the item, I needed to act fast to secure it and get it in my time frame. They sent an email invoice and recommended I call, order and pay that afternoon.
Then they called to say the vanity unit was on 6 week delivery so I wouldn’t get it on time but it would be the same everywhere. I was disappointed and frustrated but really had no choice.
Next day I received an email from the other company I enquired with to say they were able to get the items in 2 days and included an itemised invoice.
I was confused how they could get it in 2 days ? and upset/shocked to see a big price difference !
Paul Newman invoiced me a total of £2067 for a toilet, basin and vanity unit.
The other bathroom company charged £580 for the toilet and £ 1,068.00 for the basin/vanity unit.
A price difference of £419 for 2 items ?!
We went to Paul Newmans shop with both invoices and asked for him to itemise his and work out where the extra was coming from.
He referred to the manufacturers book and said it was VAT but the other invoice had the VAT included, effectively Paul Newmans added VAT to the price that already included it and an additional charge on top 😳.

An increase/overcharge of £419 !
We had no choice re the toilet we needed it but told them to cancel the vanity unit order and return the basin.
£60 was deducted from our refund the charge to return the basin to Vileroy&Bosch.
We ordered the vanity unit for £1068 and it was delivered 2 days later.
Two local bathroom showrooms - the same brand with completely different prices and completely different integrity and customer service.
Chose wisely !
