Paws2rescue are a UK registered charity, (1156882) are a UK charity, helping dogs in Romania since 2013. A country where the owning of dogs means keeping them on chains, government policy is capture and kill, a lack of protection at law for animals means abuse and abandonment of pets is rife. Our vision is to reduce of the stray population through our neuter campaigns, improve animal welfare and a change of culture in the community through our education programme in schools and our work inside communities. Paws2Rescue is run solely by volunteers, and donations go directly to help the dogs. We work alongside our team and partner charities in Romania, rescuing dogs and providing vet treatment, shelter and food. Finding loving homes in the UK for neglected dogs is so rewarding and is one of many parts of what we do.

This is a professionally run caring charity that does things properly. From the time we applied to the time our precious dog arrived and beyond we felt supported. The team are always available for questions. Our dog passed away last week which prompted me to write this as I know when the time is right to replace him I would not consider going anywhere else but back to paws2rescue. Thank you for your love and support paws2rescue. You are awesome.

Paws2rescue are one of the more compassionate charities out there, doing their best for the dogs in Romania. They thoroughly assess each dog & make sure they are matched to the right families. I have both fostered & adopted from them, & would encourage anyone looking to adopt to contact them.

I adopted my first dog from Paws2Rescue over ten years ago, since then I have adopted and fostered many more from them. I remain in contact with them and provide them with updates regarding their dogs - I currently have six Paws dogs here - all wonderful little characters….quirky but brilliant , I would not hesitate to recommend this charity to anyone looking to adopt a rescue dog.

I’ve had 2 wonderful experiences of adopting through Paws2Rescue. Once in 2019 and again at the end of 2023. The processes from application to home check and review is organised so well and it’s obvious the team not only care about the animals they are getting adopted but the quality of support they give to adopters. Their updates on the work they do in Romania to tackle the root causes of animal suffering is remarkable and I’m a proud supporter of Paws2Rescue. It’s been such a great experience, I wanted to help support them with any help they need and have since offered to volunteer. Thank you Paw2Rescue for everything you have done for my dogs and thousands of others in Romania.

We adopted our boy in September 2021.
From the moment we decided to adopt to our boy arriving the staff were totally professional.
We followed his travel route which was updated reguarly , chose to use the pet taxi setvice to get him brought to us. When i took Chino to register him at the vets they advised they had never seen such a good passport with all his vaccinations.
We have an amazing dog who gives us so much fun and love. Thank you paws2rescue if only we had s bigger house we would adopt them all.x
I WOULD GIVE ZERO !
Matt is the worst dog trainer I have ever met (I've had dogs for over 35 yrs) and was dictated to that I had to treat the dog as human.
The dog is aggressive to both humans and any animal! The dog smashes the house up and in Matts words, you can't tell her off as she's a rescue.
I really struggle to see how they even get the authority to operate.
The dog is DANGEROUS and Paws2Rescue do nothing.
Avoid at all costs !
I've had my dog for nearly 4 years. I wasnt sure what to expect and my only request was cat friendly. I have the most beautiful sweet natured female dog who is the best. Gets on great with my 2 cats and friends and family. P2R are brilliant, fantastic charity doing an incredible job, great network support via fb page. I could easily rescue them all if only I had the time , money and space 😉😉 exceptional rescuers who go above and beyond often at their own expense. Just apologies for not having written review earlier ☺
Fantastic charity with a brilliant support background and group. it's utterly clear how much the rescuers over in Romania and in the UK are so devoted to rescuing dogs in need. Great people, great advice, and support. Carry on with the good work, you guys are amazing.
Enquired about adopting a rescue pup a few weeks ago. Within a few days I had been contacted and provided full information and answers to any queries. A virtual home check was conducted and I collected my pup Kuba today. Very professional, organised and friendly service. They clearly care about the work they do and the pups they are responsible for rehoming. Would highly recommend this charity for anyone looking to offer a home to a rescue pup from the Romanian shelters
I don't understand the bad reviews. I have adopted 2 gorgeous dogs in the last 12 months. The staff kept me up to date with everything that they were doing. We picked Bobby (ingeras) up 21st December last year. He did chase the cats when he first arrived but now plays with them. Lola we picked up 16th may and she was the same. My old collie accepted them and they normally all asleep together. I would have no problem recommending paws2rescue to anyone looking to adopt
Such a shame to see some negative reviews. I cannot thank paws2rescue enough! They do such a wonderful job and I have had such positive experiences with all the staff and the support in the groups have been amazing. Soon as I saw my fur baby on the facebook page I applied right away, paid deposit and house check carried out. From start to finish my girl was in the UK within 4 weeks. She’s perfect. However everyone needs to remember what these poor animals have been through. It takes time and patience to gain trust. Our girl wouldn’t come near us for the first 3 weeks of her being here and now all she loves is to have cuddles. You have to give it longer than 24 hours and be committed. Thank you all so much.
Told we were given a dog and cat friendly dog. That the dog had been sent back after a week but she was a great dog. Spent the first 18 hours stopping her from attacking our resident dog and cat. Sent her back as she was so prey driven with our cat and at this point the cat was traumatised. No offer of at least part payment back despite the fact the dog was already in the UK having been paid for and sent back by previous adopter. So dog paid for twice the full whack almost 400 quid, sent back twice and our money is gone. Weird, no aftercare, no apologies. The foster came back to pick her up again and didnt correct the dogs behaviour when she went for my dog again. What are they doing with all this money as the certainly arent offering any back following failed adoption. Literally had the dog less than 24 hours as it was so apparent she would just attack our own dog and cat.

Excellent.. They really care about the dogs they rescue. They are very professional in the way they deal with adoptions. They try very hard not turn people down, preferring to work with them to educate, so they can successfully adopt and give a dog a good quality life. The dogs come vaccinated, and neutered or spayed, if old enough, with a pet passport, with their medical details in. The staff and volunteers are really caring and are there to offer back up advice if you need it. They have a group for fosters and adopters on Facebook, which is really friendly and they do organise occasional meet ups for members and their dogs
We adopted our dog from them and . At some point we would like him to have a sibling, and I wouldn't hesitate to adopt from them again

Terrible service from the company.
I know it’s a charity but the staff are unprofessional rude, and very complacent.
They reserve you a dog and after taking the deposit from you, inform you that the dog has now gone to somebody else.
Very unapologetic and the admin correspondence staff seem to care more about themesleves and pride rather than the poor dogs that need homing.

Great organisation run by lovely helpful people.Every step was supportive, the fosterers were lovely, the process easy and we have no criticism of this organisation at all.Help the dogs and have a look at their available pups.

If I could give this rescue NO stars then I would. There is a wealth of information that there is not proper back up when things are not going well for adopters. Many volunteers have left due to not being able to cope with the way things are run. People are blocked if they ask for help and just dismissed. There is zero aftercare. Their funds are spent very dubiously on travel and accommodation for all sorts of people. Don’t give them money. Find a better rescue if you want a foreign dog there are plenty out there.
