Excellent service

Excellent service. 12 week puppy had eaten something that was a potential hazard. Contacted Paw Squad vet who was brilliant. She fully investigated the products data sheet and liaised with a colleague to reassure us that all would be ok. Great peace of mind particularly as this was in the evening. Follow up email the next day to check all was ok. Brilliant add on service to our pet insurance.

So helpful

The ease of being able to speak to a vet out of hours is brilliant and the vet I did speak to was so helpful. I’d definitely use Pawsquad again if it’s out of hours and I couldn’t speak to my own vet

Top Vet

I had a problem with my cat, he had cystitis and when I called the vet I was really stressed. He calmed me down and helped me step by step to deal with my worries. The vet was very clear and understanding and made sure I understood everything.

I’m so impressed with Pawsquad

I’m so impressed with Pawsquad. I accessed them through my pet insurance. My dog became very poorly after a late night adventure. During the ups and downs of his recovery I video chatted to their vets 3 times. Each time they gave great advice and reassurance that helped both me and my puppy.

PawSquad is a most wonderful thing

PawSquad is a most wonderful thing! To be able to make contact with a vet so quickly no matter what the time of day for advice and reassurance is invaluable. We treasure PawSquad, are very grateful to all participating vets and would highly recommend it

Bad experience

Bad experience, our cat become very ill suddenly last weekend, too poorly to take to an emergency vet, nearly an hour away. They suggested using paws squad. After filling in information on the app at the payment page the app froze, instead of allowing me to book an appointment. But I got an email saying a payment has been taken. I tried to make another appointment but the app wanted to take another payment. this time I could see the appointments available and there weren’t any for another 12 hours. No customer service to contact either. Wouldn’t recommend based on my stressful experience. I hope at least I get my payment refunded

[updated] fixed the original problem

(updated on 29 mar 2026)- see below for the original review. Pawsquad did take efforts to understand what happened and they were fully transparent with me as they went through the process of fixing the bug.

As it happens We had to call the line again, on Sunday 29 Mar evening , and were able to speak to a vet within 2 minutes. So, on the basis of their successful efforts to fix the connection issue, and their transparency, i am upgrading my review to 4* from 1*. Thank you

I have just spent around an hour on saturday evening (28 feb) , number 1 in the queue , waiting for a consult. For about 30 min, I have been assigned a vet , but they have not picked up. This company advertises 24-7 service, the reality seems to be that out of hours availability is zero. Poor service at a stressful time.

So glad i chose pawsquad

The vet i spoke to was caring and understanding … it was so easy calling from the comfort of my home as my pet is not a good patient when we go the vets and she stresses so bad in the car, so pawsquad has made it so easy to speak to a vet whenever i need to.

Warning - No support provided out of hours!


PawSquad’s claim of “24/7” is completely misleading. We paid for an emergency appointment on Sunday for our cat and no one showed up, and we had no way to contact them. There’s only a generic email address that clearly isn’t monitored outside working hours. That’s unacceptable for a company advertising 24/7 services.

On Monday, I received a generic email blaming a “technical issue,” which is questionable given I have screenshots showing we were connected and waiting. They’ve had similar complaints before and appear to have done nothing to fix it.

The only positive is that a refund was issued which is the bare minimum. Abysmal service and I would not trust these doughnuts in an emergency.

Excellent service

Excellent service, was seen by a vet right away who was able to advise me on the next steps to take. Great if your animal doesn’t like the vet and you want to make sure it’s necessary before taking them.
Can’t recommend pawsquad highly enough, definitely a five atar service

Excellent service for straightforward issues

I contacted this company as my dog was pacing and panting, and our vets were closed. I had an initially consultation with Alison who was really friendly and empathetic to my dog’s needs. She advised a simple home remedy which worked brilliantly. She advised a review a few hours later, and that vet also did a video assessment and confirmed my dog had settled with normal breathing. They really put my mind at rest, and I wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again. If my dog was injured he would need an emergency vet out of hours as they can’t prescribe, but for straightforward issues I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend .
