close my account!

Hi, is there any way of getting a reply from Payzone without writing a negative review online? I've been trying to close my account for 5 weeks, since 29th Oct. I've sent approx 8 emails and not a single reply from a human.

Hi Margaret,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience.

Our helpdesk team replied to both of your emails, in October and November. In order to close your registered account and refund the remaining balance, they had requested for you to share the below details for verification, which we are yet to receive from you.

- Mobile number
- Vehicle registration
- Last four digits of the card on your account
- Expiry date of the card

If you could reply to your existing case email with this information, or send it directly to parking@payzone.ie, we’ll be able to process the closure and refund.

Just had a great customer experience

Just had a great customer experience. When I say great, they just did what they were supposed to do, but so many don't do that now, especially the particularly large and global organisations. Support based in Ireland.

I find the helpline support team most unhelpful.
I am told all the phone calls are recorded.
To improve the service, you provide you should listen back to 3 calls I made on the 11/11/25 between 4pm and 4.25pm. It may have been an error but call was interrupted/ ended by the operator.

Hi Helen,

We’re sorry to hear about your recent experience and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points.

Our helpdesk team aims to support every customer as thoroughly as possible, and we understand how important clear communication is. We can confirm that several members of our team have spoken with you on multiple occasions, provided the information requested, and reviewed the details with you each time.

Regarding the call on 11/11, the line did unfortunately disconnect. We’re sorry if this caused any frustration. It certainly wasn’t intentional.

We pride ourselves on our locally based helpdesk team and their commitment to helping our customers. If there’s anything further you need clarified, please feel free to contact us again and we’ll do our best to assist.

Overcharged and refund refused

I parked my vehicle and paid the parking fee of 10.80 directly at the car park using my credit card. However, I later discovered that Payzone had also processed an automatic charge of
16.55 the same transaction.

This duplicate and higher charge was made without my authorization. When I contacted your team regarding this issue, I was informed that no reimbursement would be issued. I find this response unacceptable, as I can provide proof of my original payment of 10.80 made at the car park.

I requested that the 16.55 charge be refunded immediately but Payzone refused and directed me to seek a refund from the car park. They also failed to acknowledge that they had overcharged me .
Very disappointed with their response .

Hi Phil,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and understand how frustrating this situation must be.

After reviewing your case, it appears that an off-street parking subscription is active on your Payzone account. This feature allows automatic entry and exit at participating QPark car parks, with the parking fee charged directly to your Payzone account. Meaning there’s no need to take a ticket or pay at the machine before leaving.

On this occasion, it seems both payment methods were used; you paid manually at the machine (€10.80), and the automated system also processed a transaction (€16.55) via your Payzone account subscription. Unfortunately, as Payzone only facilitates the cashless payment on behalf of QPark, any refund for duplicate or differing charges must be handled directly by them.

Our customer service team has already provided you with the link to request a refund from QPark, and we recommend sharing your proof of the manual payment to help them resolve this quickly.

Regarding the difference between the two amounts, this may be due to Q-Park’s promotional or discounted rates applied at the payment machine on the day. Q-Park will be best placed to confirm this.

Fantastic service BUT they are snakes…

Fantastic service BUT they are snakes about taking money off you automatically, minimum allowed to be in your account is 10 euro so as soon as it dips below it takes at least another 10 euro out of your account automatically, there's also another charge that I can't figure out that has charged the remaining money in my account, I use Revolut so I blocked them, I'd be more willing to use them if it didn't make me feel like I'm being robbed

Hi there,

We’re sorry to hear about your experience and appreciate the opportunity to clarify a few points.

We offer two account options:

Registered account: Designed for regular users, this option includes access to on-street parking and exclusive offers for €1.29/month per vehicle. It also allows users to subscribe to additional services such as tolling and off-street parking. The monthly maintenance fee is outlined in the app store listing, on our website, and within our Terms & Conditions, which must be accepted during registration.

Pay As You Go (PAYG): Ideal for infrequent users. There’s no monthly fee, just a €0.35 convenience charge per parking session. To use this option, you can download and reinstall the app to see the “Park without account” option.

If you would like us to close your registered account and refund any remaining balance, we’d be happy to help. To proceed, we just need the following details for verification:

- Mobile number
- Vehicle registration
- Last four digits of the card on your account
- Expiry date of the card

Please email the above details to parking@payzone.ie, and we will process this promptly.

Hi Daniel,

Thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry to hear about your frustration and would like to clarify how our service works.

We offer two account options:

Registered account: Designed for regular users, this option includes access to on-street parking and exclusive offers for €1.29/month per vehicle. A minimum top-up of €10 ensures your account always has funds available for quick, cashless payments. These details are outlined in the app store listing, on our website, and within our terms & conditions, which must be accepted before sign-up. During registration, each user also selects their auto top-up amount, so the process and payment model are fully transparent before use.

Pay As You Go (PAYG): Ideal for infrequent users. There’s no monthly fee, just a €0.35 convenience charge per parking session. To use this option, simply reinstall the app and select “Park without account.”

If you’d like us to close your registered account and refund your remaining balance, please email parking@payzone.ie
with your details (mobile number, vehicle reg, etc.) and we’ll be happy to assist promptly.

Thank you again for taking the time to share your thoughts. Feedback like this helps us continue improving our service.

Tried to pay for on street parking, but because of a glitch in their system they took my money with no parking ticket.
When i tried to get my refund, they promised every week money would be repaid, but 60 days later I'm still out of pocket
