Refuse to perform exchange/refund on DOA unit

Ordered an APC UPS to replace a failed unit powering a frequently-used A/V system. New UPS arrived defective right out of the box. Contacted PC-Canada to request an exchange and was told we had to contact the manufacturer and go through the RMA process, which can take 2-8 weeks. Advised PC-Canada this was not acceptable and requested to perform a return instead. PC-Canada refuses to accept it and insists we have to go through the manufacturer's RMA process.

Absolutely absurd. First and last time we will ever deal with PC-Canada.

As you'll see in the retailer's ridiculous response, they claim they can't perform exchanges or accept refunds because of the "manufacturer's policy". Strange how BestBuy, Canada Computers and every other retailer selling the exact same product produced by the exact same manufacturer all have no problem performing exchanges or accepting returns. It's almost like the manufacturer has nothing at all to do with it.

Terrible. Just Terrible.

This site is awful. Do not order anything from here. I ordered a printer part for work, saw it was the wrong part as soon as I opened the box and didn't even take the item out. The box was in perfect condition and the product not unwrapped and they still told me they couldn't issue a refund due to the fact the box was open even though I emailed them immediately after receiving it. The customer service was atrocious and I strongly recommend you buy what you need elsewhere.

We never want our policies to catch customers off guard, which is why we include the following text in all order confirmation emails, which clients receive after placing an order with PC-Canada.com, “PC-Canada.com cannot accept returns for opened non-defective product so please make sure your order is fully compatible with your computer environment BEFORE opening any packaging.”

When you reached out to us to request the return of this item, our customer service representative did escalate this request to the manufacturer to see if they would provide a policy exemption. This exemption request was subsequently denied with a note requesting additional photos of the product showing the unused item in its original packaging. If you are able to provide us with the required photos, we can reopen the RMA exemption request on your behalf. Please note, it is not guaranteed that the manufacturer will accept the exception request and if approved, a restocking fee could apply. Not even worth a star

I order a scanner for my client through my business credit card. No confirmation email or calls after they a week I had to call them to check the status because my cc transaction was still pending. First they verified with the bank and came back to me that everything is good. Next day morning they called up to say that one of the departments has turned around the order because my business is new and I got a new domain. The lady gave a reason that after 6 months the bank can go back to PC-Canada to get the money and the other reason was their policies doesn't allow such transactions. I have ordered many other things with the same cc and no problem. DO NOT do business with them.

I have been ordering from these guys for 5-7 years but will stop immediately.

I have been ordering from these guys for years and everything was great until I tried to replace defective toner cartridge.

I ordered enough that I had a "customer rep" call me in 2019 to thank me for my business.

I didn't use the toner cartridge right after I received it as my printer didn't need it yet but today, when I installed the brand name Lexmark cartridge, it didn't work. I called them and they told me that I need to deal with Lexmark. Anyway, they refused to replace wit with a working one and said they would submit something which could takes weeks.

Now I am scrambling for toner for my printer because of them.

I will NEVER order from these guys again - they are happy to take your money but won't help you when you need it most.

They do not value any type of relationship with their customers.

When our customer service representative looked into this for you, it was discovered that this item is now covered under the manufacturer’s warranty as the toner was purchased back in February. As a reminder, we have a 15-day return window after the date of shipment, within which we can assist with returns for defective products. After the 15 days, the manufacturer warranty kicks in and per the manufacturer's policy, all support requests must be directed through them.

We apologize we are unable to assist you with the replacement unit directly, however we encourage you to contact Lexmark Support at the number provided to open a warranty claim. We’ve included the number and a link to their support page below for quick reference. Lexmark toner cartridges are covered by a Limited Lifetime Warranty, so we trust Lexmark will be able to assist you with a resolution.

Took a chance with these guys and it was a mistake

Took a chance ordering an industrial wireless router from PC Canada. I normally order from NewEgg or Amazon, but PC Canada happened to have the item in stock while the others were backordered.

It turns out the router I ordered doesn't properly implement station mode as confirmed with the manufacturer. Had all packing materials and wanted to return; was requested to open an RMA, which I did. Was denied. I escalated, and was denied again. Now I'm out over $600.

Buyer beware.

Return policy very sketchy

Very bad experience due to an order I made ordering the wrong product. Returning an item is very hard with them, you need to get through a process and they finally accepted the return (at my own cost). After sending the package back, it got returned to me with a big hole in the box and claimed they received it as damaged. Not only I have paid some shipping cost, I now have a useless product sitting home and they are refusing to take it back.

The issue here is that they are using the manufacturer product as the shipping box instead of wrapping inside another box as all merchant should be doing. It's almost seems like they did this on purpose so they can refuse package "not in the original box".

Anyway, I used to be very satisfied with this company but the fact that their shipping return policy is soo hard, better to buy elsewhere with good return policy.

We would like to address your concerns regarding the original shipping package. Certain items, including the product you purchased are too large to be reboxed, in those instances our warehouse partners will ship the product in the original manufacturer box. This is one reason we ship all packages via registered courier and insure the products for their value, and if any damage is caused in the original delivery of the item, we could then make a claim with our courier. Just is the case for when our clients are returning items. As outlined in our terms and conditions, “return shipping for non-defective products is the responsibility of the client. When returning items, the client should confirm that all items are well packaged and insured for the correct value, as they are responsible for any additional damage to an item, or loss during return shipment.” Due to the damage the package sustained in the return shipping our warehouse denied the return and shipped it back to you as per our policy. We regret that we were unable to assist you further in this case, but we encourage you to reach out to your courier because if the item was properly insured when you returned it to us, you should have no trouble getting your money back for the damages the courier caused.
