We live next to an established tennis…

We live next to an established tennis abd racquet sports club. Last year the club decided to invest in 3 new Padel courts. Peninsula prepared a report which was submitted for Planning and briefly. They declared that any noise would be no more than the existing tennis. Planning was granted and it was immediately clear on completion of the courts that the estimation of noise was total rubbish. Residents complained and after the club did little to reduce the nuisance, Environmental Health were contacted and after taking over a week of readings, a noise abatement notice was served on the club. This is an ongoing situation, but if you put any faith in what Peninsula advise.be prepared for expensive litigation when the reality is totally different from the projection.

Bad communication and low-quality service

We had a terrible experience with this company in Liverpool (they also claim to be based in Birmingham and London, but it seems in fact they are only based in Birmingham and subcontracting people to do the job).

They were supposed to provide an acoustics report for my property. They produced a report with several mistakes, and recommendations that were wrong (e.g., suggesting stiffening the floor to decrease the resonance while this actually increases the resonance).

We politely asked for an amended report, and they asked for the remaining payment for the service. After the payment was settled, they didn't give us the amended report and completely ignored all our emails and messages.

Communication was bad throughout the process, James Healey from this company would miss almost every email we sent him.

Frustrating, this is the first time I have seen such bad service in the UK, and they claim to be award winners of the ANC, so we thought we could trust them.

Stay away!
