Dealership and Lincoln are not very…
Dealership and Lincoln are not very accommodating. We have a 2019 Lincoln Navigator Black Edition. Be bought from Witt Ford, which the dealership sold to Penske Lincoln. We worked with Mellisa Buchta. We brought the car in for service because the rear-window exploded driving down our street at 7:30 am, doing 25-30 mph down our paved street. We explained to the dealership that we thought it would be covered under warranty because we could not find any reason to explode. The car was in for service a few months back because of the rear defogger wire coming loose. Again, they told us not under warranty, and they charged us 300-600 to repair with Solder. After doing a little online research, it seems just on the first page of Google; you can find other people with the same story of windows just exploding. I spoke to a few car window experts who confirmed that the wire should not have been repaired with solder because it will change the volts going to the wires, which could cause a fire or heat up and make the window explode. We also called Lincoln, and they said there was nothing they could do. The car is very lovely looking and had about 6-7 other warranty issues that had to be repaired on the first visit. When we bought the car, we were told that we could get a loaner car with the Black Edition. What they don’t tell you is that it might be a small car that will not fit a family of 6. And you will have a lot of red tape on when they will let you have a loaner. You will have to do a lot of fighting to get anywhere with them. The point of this review is the dealership, and the Lincoln back edition service is not worth the money, and we will not be buying another Lincoln or recommend this dealership ever again. Update we took the broken window to a window repair service with factory windows, and the defogger broke off again. I'm sure it won't be under warranty :(
