Comprehensive and Compassionate!
Incredibly patient, compassionate, and understanding during a stressful and complicated move. They navigated issues with our vet in the US perfectly and went above and beyond to ensure paperwork was correct prior to arrival. When our cats arrived and we found out there was a mistake in microchip numbers they took immediate action and we were able to take our pets both home that day. A HUGE thank you to all at PetAir for their professionalism and responsiveness.

Positive experience, only a couple of issues.
The whole adventure for our dogs was generally great. It was never going to be an experience that they enjoyed, but PetAir, made it easy and pretty straight forward. A couple of odd yes that we encountered… although I had changed the collection address a couple of times, the team still arrived at the wrong house, even though I had written confirmation in an email. It was stressful in the moment, but it got sorted. However, on collection, the leads were forgotten, so the team had to go back.
We had update and photos that were great and comforting to see and read.
Pick up in the USA was a little confusing as the handler didn’t really explain who he was or ask for the name of our dogs, but it worked out in the end.
There was an awful lot of paperwork and it was all quite pricey, but I guess it needs to be, as it’s a massive upheaval.
However, generally it was all a positive experience.

Negative Experience
I very rarely leave negative reviews, but in this case the service was extremely poor.
I requested transport for my dog from London (UK) to Jeddah (Saudi Arabia). I received a quote and carefully reviewed all the information provided before paying the deposit. After paying, there was a significant delay from Pet Air, which I initially assumed was an administrative issue.
When I followed up for an update, I was informed that I would be responsible for finding and hiring a local agent in Jeddah to handle customs clearance and airport procedures. This requirement was not mentioned before I paid the deposit. I was uncomfortable with this arrangement, particularly due to concerns about my dog’s welfare and the lack of oversight.
As a result, I informed them that I would be using another company and requested a refund of my deposit, as this key requirement had not been disclosed in advance. They refused to provide a full refund and instead only refunded £300 of the £500 deposit.
In my view, the significant delays and the failure to fully explain the scope of their service prior to taking payment should warrant a full refund. Unfortunately, they were unwilling to do so.

Excellent communication throughout
We had to export our cat to Australia and were nervous about the process. Our assigned export consultant was simply excellent. They were effective in keeping the communication open and clear throughout, taking care to bring in detail and clarity and ensuring we understood what we'd expect next. It was a complex process but PetAir made it easy to follow by crafting the emails in such a way it hardly prompted any questions. Whenever we had any, the response rate was great. We also sensed a level of care in the tone that was reassuring and gave us the peace of mind we needed. We would gladly recommend PetAir to others on the basis of our direct experience with Liz. Cannot speak highly enough of all of the staff at PetAir! We recently moved our 9 year old Lab - Calli - from Stirling, Scotland to Austin, Texas. As with all pet owners we were extremely anxious at the thought of putting Calli through such a long trip - especially as we were not travelling with her.
PetAir literally were there morning, noon and night to answer every single question we had. Their level of attention to detail, care and communication was nothing short of exceptional.
We want to give a massive thank you to Sarah (export booking consultant) and Alison (PetAir UK travel consultant) - if you saw the email chains, you would fully appreciate how much time they take to ensure every need, question and worry is answered!
From planning the journey, costing it out, securing a custom crate, making sure paperwork and compliance was in order, to the execution of travel - they have it covered.
Calli’s journey was right on the limit of temperatures for air travel at Christmas time, but still we were kept informed of deadlines and alternatives incase of changes.
My Mum (Calli’s Gran) also wanted to give thanks to Alfie. He took the time to introduce himself via text the night before. He picked Calli up and drove her from Stirling to her overnight stay before her flight out of Heathrow. Every step of the way she kept my Mum updated via text on how Calli had been and treated her like she was his own. This again just helped ease everyone’s anxiety.
Elaine (Pets with Passports) was Calli’s handler when she arrived in Austin. Just an exceptional level of service to get her from the plane/airside and straight for a walk before meeting us land side without any issues through customs.
What was always going to be a difficult journey couldn’t have been any easier and we are glad Calli is back with us to enjoy some sunshine in ATX!

My whole experience with PetAir UK was fantastic. From first enquiries to the time my cats landed in Australia, there was no question too silly. Emma helped guide me on every aspect of the process with detailed, step-by-step information. It really took away a lot of worry at an already stressful time of an international move. I opted for the gold service and they took such good care of my cats. Michelle (who collected them) was absolutely lovely and sent me photos on how they were doing at the kennels. I got more photos the next day as they arrived for their flight. The Caretag system also kept me updated on their travel progress all the way to their arrival in Australia (although I assumed there would be photos as well). Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Flying my little Malshi dog to Australia.
Petair were brilliant right through the entire process. I forst contacted them at the end of April 2025. My baby was picked up on the 5th January 2026.
I dealt with Hazel Newman throughout. She reassured me with all of my worries.
I have a very little Malshi dog and I was so worried about sending her all the way to Australia. Hazel was so good in keeping me up to date. And when it was time for My little baby to be collected from me, the wonderful lady who came to the house was so caring and helpful, which reassured me even more. I got email and photo updates right up till she flew from Heathrow.
Hazel even organised an internal company to fly my bubba to Perth, when I needed help, at the end of quarantine. They were also fantastic sending me a video of my dog before flying to Perth.
All of this was done with enough time before my dog even left the UK. All the paperwork was taped to the crate and also sent to the quarantine centre in Australia.
