CALL YOURSELVES A VETERINARY PRACTICE!

CALL YOURSELVES A VETERINARY PRACTICE Seaford!
I don't even know where to start, I have been with this vets for 6+ years and trying to get an appointment for both my dogs vacations is truly a nightmare, Yesterday I called up to book my dogs in for their annual jabs but to be told there isn't any vets at the moment and they only have limited appointments for vaccines and to call back in August 2022, bare in mind their jabs are now over due as the practice has cancelled 2 of my appointments.
I wanted to book an appointment for a few weeks time, I had a selection of dates which would work around my work commitments as the practice sent me a annual vaccine reminder email. I had 2 pervious appointments booked in with Pet Doctors but they were both cancelled by the practice.
The receptionist I was dealing with was so rude and felt like she wanted me off the phone quickly.
There was no concern that my dogs are now overdue their vaccines.
When I phoned up to say I was leaving the Vets, her reaction was okay, then I asked what happens about my Direct Debit for my healthy pet plan she said I will cancel it now... !!!!

Thank Goodness I have left and got myself a new vets!

Pet Doctors has GONE DOWN HILL!!

I can't bring myself to even call this…

I can't bring myself to even call this company a vets. They are not interested in animal welfare what so ever? Their only interest is pounds signs £$€¥ After a truly horific encounter with a inexperienced vetinary surgeon with a distinct lack of love or compassion for the animal in their care. I can quite confidently tell you that this company might as well call themselves a pet cemetery NOT pet doctors! Avoid at all costs, I learned the hard way and would not wish the suffering in anyone alse beloved pet. What the so called pet doctors couldnt/wouldn't do was performed by an experienced vet at another surgery within 20 seconds???

Broke my dogs leg

Broke my dogs leg! Awful experience- after a Operation to repair a tendon his leg was held in extension by a screw and had to remain like it for a month, All vets had to do was change bandage dressing. Instead they altered the angle of the leg snapping the screw and breaking his leg. Denied this, put me through 4 months of complaints procedure and then withdrew last minute from their own CVS mediation process. Inexperienced vets used to cover. Seething, dont put your pet through it. I am a Professional Dog Trainer and I am suing them for negligence, how sad is that.

Seem to get over charged here twice now…

Seem to get over charged here twice now once for Royal canine dog food delivery which is free as I now have it delivered to me and then needed pain relief again for her £40 to see the vet just to give her the pills £45 that they had already subscribed for her after telling me she wouldn't have long and here we are 7 months later still being fleeced. The vet we saw today was nicer than the last one who was pretty rude and wrote her off causing me much stress. Won't be going back again my dog deserves better and so do I. Also they don't take legal tender (cash ) what is wrong with these people to lazy to have a cash float.

Absolutely wrong...should be avoided

Took my cat to vet and it took them over a week and two scans to finally discover a mass on her lung. This cost me 1500 Asked for 3500 to get scan to determine type os mass and if operable. Half my insurance already gone....per condition. Staggeringly malicious fraud....leaves me nowhere and my cat deteriorating without help or advice.

Horrible horrible vets

Horrible horrible vets, all they want is money. Injury? Xray. Stomach problems? Xray. Normal checkup? Xray. Why? Because xray cost $300.

Tongham branch.

Tongham branch.
I’ve used this branch of pet doctors for many years for my cats needs. Most recently they’ve been taking care of my cat who was diagnosed with breast cancer in February. Unfortunately the prognosis wasn’t good and surgery wasn’t going to be possible. We thought we’d have just a few weeks with her but with their help and care we had a few more months. All of the staff we’ve had contact with have been caring and professional and have always had my cats welfare at heart. When the sad time came they were again understanding and supportive and made sure that my cat was as comfortable as possible while we said goodbye.

We don’t always see the same vet but I wouldn’t expect to when they’re open 10 hours a day 5 days a week and 3-5 hours on a weekend. I’ve occasionally seen a less experienced vet but they’ve either had the knowledge they needed or sought knowledge from more experienced colleagues.

Vets lied to Police so they could kill our pet

My son adopted a beautiful cat from Cats Protection, Isle of Wight in August 2019, that had been given a clean bill of health from Pet Doctors, Newport, Isle of Wight. Pet Doctors had misdiagnosed and removed his teeth for a gum infection. Pepsi (cat) was taken back to Pet Doctors as he kept having nosebleeds and Pet Doctors passed it of as gums healing. Eventually I kicked up a fuss and Cats Protection took Pepsi back to Pet Doctors and they X-Rayed Pepsi and found out he had Nasal Cancer - He had been left for a year with Cats Protection with a growing Cancer due to misdiagnosis by Pets Protection.
Palliative care was started and paid for by Cats Protection as they had put a dying cat up for adoption.
On Thursday 4th December 2020, my son took Pepsi to vets for Steroid injection and was invited inside for Pepsi to have injection, when usually we have to wait in cab due to COVID-19 safety precautions - it was trap. As soon as he got inside the Vet refused to treat Pepsi and said she was going to "put him down". My son asked if he could take Pepsi home to say Goodbye for a few days. This was refused.
My son came home and rang me in shock. I rang Pet Doctors to find out what was going on - The promised phone call never came, so after an hour I rang again and was told they couldn't talk to me as it was my sons cat - I had been dealing with them face to face, on phone and in emails since March 2020, but suddenly they could not talk to me without authority from my son. I rang my son to ask him to email authority - All of a sudden I received a call from the Police - Pet Doctors had complained about us to the Police - I was so shocked. I only asked what was happening to Pepsi.
Pet Doctors lied to the Police that they had a discussion with my son two weeks ago and he had 2 weeks to say Goodbye to Pepsi - This never happened at all, but they lied to encourage the Police to authorise them killing Pepsi, which they did, against our wishes.
The Police told me that Pet Doctors and Cats Protection had private talks behind my sons back and decided to euthanize Pepsi. despite Pepsi being my sons cat.
I rang Cats Protection, Ryde, Isle of Wight to find out if this was true - They promised to get the Manager to ring me back - I emphasised how urgent it was as Pepsi's life was hanging in the balance - The Manager never rang back at all.
This has confirmed my belief that Pepsi was killed for financial reasons.
I know Pepsi was dying, that is not the issue, it is the lies and deceit by Pet Doctors to the Police and to me.
I would never use this disgusting vet again.

I have two rabbits that required…

I have two rabbits that required injections for R(V)HD - R(V)HD2 and myxomatosis. I contacted the Shalford branch to ask how much this would cost ! they told me £46 for each rabbit for the injections. What they did not mention was that this was for the administer of the first lot of injections so it has cost me £184 for four injections. Absolute rip off. I only wanted the injections done so that I could leave the rabbit with a rabbit kennels who insisted on the vaccinations. not a very honest vets, All they want is the money. I could have purchased two rabbits and hutch for this price, scandalous.

Needless suffering...

Sadly I have to say since Louise Henry left, this practice (Botley) has deteriorated rapidly. My dog was diagnosed quickly with her illness of Kidney failure but we were continually told her condition was improving when in fact she was deteriorating rapidly. Had they informed us the results of blood tests we could have made a decision to end her suffering instead of her lingering. They failed to give us all the relevant information but gave us false hope of her condition improving which was not possible. I do believe the severity of her illness would have still resulted in her death but she suffered needlessly because of them. The staff especially Clare on reception were very kind, and their attitude to the animals I can’t fault but the treatment and information they gave out is lacking in every way imaginable. Do your pet a favour and take them somewhere else. Profit before care.

Avoid like the plague!

If you value your pets don’t use this place, my dog suffered hours of pain due to mis diagnosis and had to be taken to out of hours vet to be put down. Accepted no liability, offered me £100 as goodwill gesture! Disgusting. Receptionist thinks she’s funny to make comments on your dogs age to then state well he’s getting on isn’t he - the first visit I made after the death of my other dog. Unprofessional and liars! The vet who mis diagnosed my dog stated she was making appointment for her to go in later in week - I was abroad.

I put my trust in pet doctors BUT

I put my trust in pet doctors with my beautiful boy... they missed every symptom of cushings disease over an 18 month period sadly he got very unwell and unhappy with pet doctors advice I took him for a 2nd opinion where Cushing was diagnosed instantly along with blocked intestines.. the vets at pet doctors all of them as it’s always a different vet every time missed everything and because of this my boy sadly passed away ... take my advice and go to an independent vet if you care about your fur babies.. pet doctors awful
