Total Incompetence

Following a minor low speed accident December 2024 advised by the AA the PJG were there official repairer, the vehicle was returned repaired January 2025 but there was no cruise control function and the stop/start did not work.
Returned to PJG and after 1 week we were told it would have to go to Kia to be sorted in 7 weeks time, it was returned 7 weeks later to be told by PJG a fuse had to be replaced.
August took our car to Kia for a service and mentioned the A/C was not working they found parts of the system was damaged and that when our car had been returned to them by PJG it had a fuse MISSING.
Our car had initially not been properly assessed for repair and here we are 9 months later with the AA trying to sort this mess out.

Worst experience

Dear Peter James Garage,

I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction following the recent service carried out on my Citroën DS7 at your garage.

I brought my vehicle in for a geometry check and four-wheel balance. Upon collection, I was informed that everything was in perfect condition and that no additional work was necessary. However, the steering wheel shake I originally reported persisted exactly as before.

To make matters worse, the next day I discovered that the front wheel arch had been ripped off and the mud guard was damaged—issues that were not present prior to the visit. This suggests that my vehicle was mishandled while in your care.

I subsequently took the car to another professional garage, where they confirmed that the geometry was significantly off. They corrected the issue immediately, and the car now drives smoothly — something that should have been done by your team.

In total, I paid £112 for a service that failed to resolve the issue and resulted in additional damage to my vehicle. This experience has been extremely disappointing, and I question whether your staff possess the necessary competence or care to handle vehicle repairs responsibly.

I had my van back doors replaced at…

I had my van back doors replaced at PeterJames after someone bumped my van from behind. To change the back doors lasted for almost three month. Almost a month waiting for the parts, week after I was told it will be done in a week, after that week following week again. I finally received an email saying that completion date was on that following week. Finally it was done 3 weeks after the identified completion date. They have changed the back doors but they have left too much mess inside, accessories for phone charging stations, wiring were pulled, messed! they think they own your car. It looked like they have done the job in a rush - but they have my van for almost 3 months. If you love your car, I would not recommend them for that job.

Appallingly bad customer service

Appallingly bad customer service. Some of the worst I have ever experienced. 1 month delay before even looking to start work, 2.5 weeks to sort a door and bumper. At no point did these people contact me or update me and twice they promised to return calls and never did.

I was left completely in the dark and their response was “it’s the insurers problem, not us”. Sorry, but the insurer told me it was your job. Doesn’t explain why you couldn’t bother to return my calls does it? I was left hanging with NO indication as to when the car would be ready, I had to do all the chasing.

And I haven’t even mentioned the deluge of texts requiring images of the damage when you already had the car!

Your systems don’t work and your customer service is zero. I would advise anyone to use another repairer if they possibly can.

Body repairs

These guys have done a fantastic job of the damage to the front of my Mercedes car you would not of know there had been any damage 5****

Only observations was that a detailed invoice was not given to me but they did state the total cost they were charging my insurance Co
And that the work did over run the time frame given

But at the end of the day the damage to my car was restored brilliantly

Thanks guys and girls

A pleasant experience

A pleasant experience, they were professional, efficient and friendly at all points. Kept me well informed and did a great job on a clutch replacement. Highly recommended

Thieves and bad mechanics

Thieves and bad mechanics

I was sent there by my insurers after a theft attempt damaged my car

I was told it would cost £250 (my excess) and The collection agent took that amount from my partner.
As his paperwork only said £200, he only handed £200 into his office
I am not sure what his name was, but he was the Thieving fat one (If That narrows it down?)

the repair should have included a door lock and light fitting - it was part of the same damage and authorized by my insurers - it took 2 months to get them to do the light fitting

The passenger remote locking door lock has never worked properly since they repaired the drivers door lock. Peter james deny that the two are connected...

I have never had an invoice, receipt, or any description of work done.
