Excellent communication and fast answer to my question. Dealt with very quickly.

The premium was very reasonable at the beginning, of my policy, but has increased by 540% over 6 years, to a whopping £320 per month! I only ever made 1 very small claim in year 2, and I feel the rise in premium is unreasonable. Having shopped around, I have since found more cover for half of what pet protect were offering, hence I ended my policy.

Absolutely amazing experience. My cat developed an E Coli infection that cost quite a lot to get to the bottom of. Pet protect paid out seamlessly and promptly with not a single issue and even offered support with the process to me over live chat. Fabulous service, would highly recommend!

Insurance quick and easy to complete. I asked for a paper copy which was send really quickly.

Absolutely disgusted with this company. 12 years without a single claim and then suddenly my little doggy needed a lump removing from his front leg and rear leg joint.

After dragging there heels for weeks they eventually paid out.
However they charged me for 2 seperate procedures resulting in 2 £150 excess charges.
And wait for this. They then charged me an additional 25% contributions fee for both procedures resulting in an additional 50%

I've paid over £11,000 in pet insurance since the beginning. £1,300 on an operation only to receive £350 back!!

This is going on every social platform possible!!!!!

Been with Pet Protect for 10 years ever since we got our rescue dog, Leo. The claims have always been settled promptly, which has been really good. However, the weighting of the monthly premiums and excess / owner contributions has become very high over the last two years. Leo is now eleven. His premium has previously risen every year by a reasonable amount. However, over the last two years it has risen from £55 per month to £220. That's a 400% increase in two years and accounts for 44% of what a total claim would be in a year. The excess is £150 and then only 75% can be claimed. Pet Protect know you can't move insurance in reality because of the exclusion of existing conditions. My caution to anyone reading this is to be aware how your premiums will be massively inflated by Pet Protect once your dog reaches their senior years.
UPDATE: The follow up from Pet Protect as per their comment implying they would help did not lead to any improvement. I was told that pet insurance is a luxury item and there was nothing they were prepared to do in addressing the 400% premium increase over just 2 years. In my opinion they have just gone through the motions so that they appear to be doing the right thing to other customers. I am now in the process of cancelling the insurance as the cost is just too high per month and fingers crossed Leo has no serious illnesses. My warning to other customers remains the same. Beware of the extortionate premium increases when your dog reaches senior years.

Claims are dealt with in a timely manner. My dog has complex medical conditions and I needed some guidance prior to submitting my latest claim - the customer service team were first class, really helpful and I cannot recommend this company enough- I have insured my last 4 dogs with them and would not use any other company.

Excellent they have always settled my vet bill quickly.
