An absolute nightmare
Just over a year ago we used this company to move and it has taken the same amount of time to get them to take responsibility for damages and a theft
We moved just before the first lockdown which means (building/decorating) it took us longer to notice damages and a theft due to all of the mess but P Goddard showed absolutely no sympathy whatsoever
Some very expensive furniture and paintings were damaged and as I said...something was stolen to the value of £400+. (Receipt provided)
As soon as we found out, we took pictures and sent them to P Goddard. Months later (although they said there were skeleton staff working) they replied basically saying it’s your problem
I kept hounding them about the theft and they advised us to report the theft to the police which we did and we provided them with crime reference number. Weeks later I heard nothing from them and contacted them to see what they were going to do and they said they were waiting for the police to contact them. This went on for months. P Goddard knew the police wouldn’t contact them.
I contacted the police to see if there was anything that could be done and they advised they couldn’t help.
P Goddard have now started ignoring my emails which is unprofessional. The whole set up is unprofessional.
I am in the middle of taking this further as I do not feel it is right to let a so called ‘professional’ business to treat people in this way.
My recommendation would be not to recommend this company.
