Business has never been simpler!

I usually don't accept card payments, but decided to try adding it to my methods after some pressure from the misses (and real boss of the business). In any case, yes, there is a transaction fee which you don't get with bank transfers or cash, but this is no match to the increase in customer base and job leads just from having the added flexibility.

I have even started dabbling with their invoicing option, which just simplifies everything that has to do with paperwork for a small business like mine.

Definitely a must try!

Initially impressed

I was initially quite impressed with this app, lets you keep a good log on jobs and payments.
However, the draw back is that it uses an american bank, Stripe, who quite frankly are a real pain.
They seem to delight in making life difficult for you and if a customer so much as sneezes they stop the payment and charge you £15. This then goes into arbitration and you have reams of form filling and it takes at least 60 days to get your money, even with concrete proof!
The biggest plus is there email support, fast and efficient.

Hi Alistair,

Thanks for your comments. We use Stripe as our underlying card processing platform who take care of chargebacks. Sometimes a customer doesn't agree with a merchant and issues a chargeback which Stripe have to take seriously. They do charge a £15 chargeback fee, which is industry standard, but will refund all the money should you win an appeal. This 60 day period is there to protect the disputed funds until the situation is settled.

This can be a very unfortunate for all parties and we do all we can to help speed up the process for our customers but it's important to note that matters like this can only really be dealt with by the merchant, the customer and Stripe. We understand how frustrating this can be.

We are sorry you've had a bad experience but we do stand by Stripe as they do a wonderful job in handling chargebacks, refunds and disputes. We are glad you've had a great experience with us and we thank you for recognition of our support efforts.

Really useful and easy to use app.

Website: I really like the lay-out of the website. The information I need (support and pricing) is very easy to find. The web dashboard for the App itself is very well laid out and accessible.

The App: This app is super useful for business. I can manage invoices and take payments with just my phone. I'm really happy I don't have to remember to take attachments with me. Those are far too easy to forget. Couldn't be happier with it.

Just started with smartTrade app

Without giving away my age I'm not really technical, the app industry is new to me. I was provided a full 1 on 1 demo on how this Smarttrade app works. I really couldn't believe what this could do, it really is fantastic. Anyone out there who is unsure give it a download as it's free. You can't lose!

Excellent service and good value

Very clever little mobile payment app; quick and easy to use, and free to sign up!

I really like this new payments app, it makes it so easy to take payments from debit and credit cards, you don't even need an extra bits if kit or a merchant ID! It is free to use, I signed up in about 5minutes and started sending out quotes and taking payments immediately. It's a must for anyone who's sending out quotes and taking payments on the move.

GOOD AT THE END but could be even better if interacting with the customer. Being a one man was pressed for time.

At the end the shower was unstalled successfully but my name was wringly spelled by the engineer, I think so for a few days I was very worried not knowing what Firm came, what was their address or their telephone no, but they having all my details including my cc no.: the invoice came eventually after phoning several times.
SECONDLY, THE TUBE HOLDING THE SHOWER IS MUCH TOO HIGH: i CANNOT REACH IT, NEITHER MY SISTER WHO IS SHORTER THAN ME: THE ENGINEER.
WOULD YOU MAKE AN APPOINTMENT FOR HIM TO COME BACK PLEASE?
WAS VERY TALL AND DID IT STANDING IN THE BATH: IT IS TOO HIGH AND HE DID NOT ASK ME WHAT HEIGH i NEEDED IT.
i WOULD LIKE HIM TO COME BACK PLEASE AND FIX IT LOWER.

Lots of quotes

After contacting Phoneaplumber by email, they phoned me and set up workmen to come round and give estimates. All gave estimates on time, but I wasn't sure whether I was meant to then contact my chosen person directly or work thro' Phoneaplumber. My first choice plumber did not reply to my email, but then the firm phoned again and contacted my second choice for me. So their service worked very well. The plumber himself was very good,once he managed to actually come at the appointed time (3rd try!).
