Phones for Patients are collecting donated mobile devices, chargers and cables, preparing them and then deploying them to participating UK NHS hospital wards and care homes (for free) for their patients and residents to be able to remain in contact with their loved ones during their stay. By preparing, we mean securing, centrally managing, and deploying communication and other apps to these devices. In addition, we’re working with various NHS bodies to develop best practices around these use cases and share these with the participating organisations. Phones for Patients has supplied over 8,500 donated mobile devices to over 500 care homes and hospitals. Phones for Patients is a registered charity in England and Wales (1191293)

Most of our residents use whatsapp to communicate, only 1 mobile worked for it which a resident didn't want to share, the other phone could only have a normal phone call on. was a nice idea but would have been better if they other phone were not limited.

The team at Phones for Patients were really helpful. They provide an excellent service which has enabled many residents in our sheltered schemes to become more digital connected, using the phones to contact loved ones as well as day-to-day services. We are really grateful and would definitely recommend the service.

We were absolutely thrilled to be able to help facilitate the distribution of these mobile devices to care home residents wanting to have contact with their loved ones through lockdown.
P4P's 24/7 help line and technical support was amazing and we are very grateful to them and to those who donated the devices.

This has been a life line for some of our residents to enable them to have contact with family, friends and other online resources

The donated phones helped out so much for our care home during the pandemic. Our residents had a better chance to stay in regular contact with their families and friends.
