Awful Company

Don’t know about service, but this is the worst place in the world to work. It’s like being at school! Don’t be `30 seconds late, mobiles out of sight, restrictions on what you can wear. With staff restrictions like that they are bound to attract the wrong sort of employees, so can’t imagine the service will be up to much.

Messy Drivers. What else is a mess?

Sat in traffic on the A14 behind a van for this company when the driver thought it was appropriate to throw his litter all on to the road. At the very least shows qualities of someone who I wouldn't want to install my lift and reflects badly on the company.

Unreliable service and prolonged lift downtime

We switched to Pickering Lifts from our previous lift maintenance company, which had poorly maintained our lift in SE1. Although the lift was functional, it was not well-maintained. When Pickering Lifts conducted their first routine maintenance, three hours later, our concierge became trapped in the lift.

Over the past six weeks, Pickering Lifts has attempted to fix the lift without success. Despite their efforts, the lift has been operational for a maximum of one week during this period. They replaced the belt, causing a 2-3 week wait, and several other parts, but the lift still does not operate correctly. In those six weeks, people have been trapped in the lift three times. It seems they have no idea how to properly fix it. Despite sending multiple technicians and spending full days on-site, they were unable to resolve the issues.

They do not work on weekends or bank holidays, leaving us without a functioning lift and forcing us to carry heavy items up several flights of stairs. They seem unaware of the significant impact this has on people's daily lives. After the long holiday weekend in May, they did not even return on Tuesday to continue their tests, leaving the lift non-operational.

I would not recommend this company to anyone.

Many thanks for leaving a Trustpilot Review. We have investigated this matter following your call to the office.

Our engineer was visiting a nearby school for an emergency call out.

Unfortunately, he was not able to find a parking space, so decided to park in front of a skip.

The skip owner contacted our office and we immediately rang the engineer. Unfortunately due to phone reception issues on site, he was not able to take our phone call.

As soon as he returned to the van he moved it immediately.

Whilst this situation is far from ideal, we will speak to the school regarding future call outs.

Please accept our sincere apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Frustrating

Poor service. The lift has broken three times in as many weeks. It was last 'fixed' one working day ago and then immediately broke again today. When I contacted their Customer Support Manager, he proceeded to tell me all the things he can't do rather than just come and fix it. Leaving a lot to be desired I think.
