Dreadful letting agent for Landlords. Not to be trusted. They charge for everything, despite taking a management fee (over a £100 each month) - it is hard to see where that money goes, it certainly doesn't go towards managing the tennant or property.

From my experience they are not trustworthy. They charged for repairs not carried out, and continued charging again for works not retified. Use your own contractors. Do not use their in-house service / 3rd party as they are all part of the same business and not reliable.

For the management fee I think they also fail the tennants, they do not give the tennant the best fair service. My experience of Pinewoods is they will do the very minimum and no more - unless you pay extra and that is 100s everytime for even minor tasks. They charge tennants and do not deliver a fair service. The office staff (except jacob) can be rude and indifferent, and the owners don't seem to care about customer service.

My experience of them is they are dishonest and not trustworthy or even bothered. Complaints are raised but no one responds and nothing changes.

Our experience with Pinewood Estate Agents has been overwhelmingly disappointing from beginning to end. Throughout the entire process, communication felt consistently poor, which created unnecessary stress and conflict. We waited weeks for our “For Sale” board to be put up, and there were several occasions where we weren’t informed about viewings in advance, leaving us feeling completely out of the loop.

What should have been a straightforward process ended up taking nearly ten months to complete, which was incredibly frustrating. On top of that, we felt pressured to use the solicitors they recommended, and that only added to the overall dissatisfaction—communication there was just as difficult and unhelpful.

Based on our experience, I would not recommend Pinewood Estate Agents. The lack of organisation, communication, and transparency made the entire journey far more stressful than it needed to be.

Pinewood Properties have been fantastic and helped us to get a new bathroom clearing all the mould that was making us all poorly. My little boy had a continuous cough he dven got given an inhailor from the doctor and when we realised under the bathroom lino was all rotten and blackened wood Pinewood stepped up and organising the repairs urgently.

Many agents wouldnt, these agents are very special.
The communication is the key for a collaborative harmonious working partnership between tennant, house owner, tradesmen, contractors, and property estate management.

AVOID!! This review is more aimed at a member of staff than the actual branch.
A routine yearly inspection was made by this person. Very informative at the beginning, very nice and chatty upon the visit. Seemed very thorough and noted all of our issues.
One week later a section 21 dropped on our doorstep…coincidence??
I asked to see the report and the attitude we have received since viewing this report has been appalling.
One photo In particular showed my daughter sat on the sofa. I asked for this to be removed as this was not anything to do with my property and the inspection nor was this asked to be taken and given my permission. One photo also included my rug with my dog bed on top. What does this have to do with a property inspection. When I asked the colleague to remove this, I was told this couldn’t be removed but assured me the image was only between us and the landlord.
We did eventually find a new home, and when I popped in to check that I was ok to give my landlord the details of the estate agents for a reference I was told I was not allowed a reference until after we moved out. I was only allowed to have a copy of our payment history. This would take a day or so to get to me, yet not 10 minutes after leaving the shop, I had the above document in my inbox. The attitude from this colleague again on this visit was the exact opposite to how they reacted on the initial visit. I find this person to be rude, and very unhelpful. Luckily 2 other colleagues since then have been amazing and I was given a reference straight away. The end inspection after moving out was also very petty. We cleaned the house to the best of our abilities in the short time we had yet as I didn’t clean the top of the curtain poles and they had dust on them, and other petty comments we only received part of our original deposit back.
The whole experience with Pinewood has been very stressful, and caused a lot of mental health issues with us as a family.
I will avoid these at all costs in the future.

I am utterly appalled by my experience with Pinewood Properties. What began as a seemingly standard tenancy process quickly unraveled into a calculated scheme of tenant exploitation.

At the end of my tenancy, Pinewood Properties deliberately misled me regarding the handover process, initially instructing me to return the keys to the landlord, only to later insist they should have been given to their office. This deliberate miscommunication conveniently positioned them to exclude me from the final inventory inspection, falsely claiming I was not present.

As a result, the landlord was free to fabricate damage claims—despite clear photographic evidence from the initial inventory proving these issues predated my tenancy. Pinewood Properties not only enabled this blatant dishonesty but actively facilitated it by refusing to uphold their responsibilities as an intermediary. Their actions were not just negligent; they were a deliberate attempt to defraud me.

It is painfully clear that this agency operates solely in the interests of landlords, with complete disregard for tenant rights or basic tenancy laws. Their handling of "reasonable wear and tear" is either shockingly ignorant or willfully corrupt. If you rent from them, expect to lose your deposit—because you will never get it back, no matter how well you maintain the property.

To anyone considering renting through Pinewood Properties: DO NOT FALL INTO THIS TRAP. They will manipulate the process to serve landlords, leaving you exposed to unfair charges and fabricated claims. I am filing an official complaint with The Property Ombudsman (TPO) this kind of deceitful behavior must not go unchallenged.

Avoid Pinewood Properties at all costs.

DO NOT USE this letting agent. The house we rented was not cleaned properly and beneath the fridge was disgusting. When we moved out they found a spec of dust inside the window reveal and withheld money from our deposit. Absolute joke of a company.

So Pinewood have taken 18 months to respond and are now denying any involvement with my rental property. I shouldn’t be surprised by Typical amateur rip- off wankers. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.

This company is utterly infuriating to deal with. The kids running the day-to-day are clueless whilst the owners wash their hands of any responsibility.
