Avoid this company at all costs.

In my experience, the “leads” provided were effectively worthless. The majority did not respond, and several people clearly stated they had never requested a quote. That raises serious concerns about how these leads are sourced and whether they are genuine at all.

When I refused to continue paying for what I believe were invalid leads, instead of resolving the issue, they escalated the matter and took me to court.

This has been a stressful, time-consuming, and costly experience. I would strongly caution anyone against using this service unless you are prepared for similar issues.

We joined Pinlocal on the basis that it is marketed as a technology-led platform with automated geographic targeting and controls. As a removals and relocation company, geographic accuracy is fundamental to our business model, so this was a key factor in our decision to sign up.

At onboarding, we contracted for leads within 10 clearly defined postcode sectors.

However, following an internal audit of our account covering June 2025 to February 2026, we identified a serious issue:

Total leads supplied: 3,785

Leads within agreed areas: 2,486

Leads outside agreed areas: 1,299

This means over one-third of all leads billed to our account were from areas we did not contract for.

These out-of-scope leads were billed automatically.

The minimum charge per lead under our agreement is £9.54 (inc. VAT). On that basis alone, the minimum value of the disputed leads exceeds £12,000, with the total disputed sum exceeding £13,000 once higher-priced leads are factored in.

When we identified this during our audit, we immediately raised the matter formally with Pinlocal and provided a detailed, month-by-month breakdown of the data.

Our primary question was straightforward:

How were out-of-scope postcode areas permitted to be supplied and billed to our account on a platform that promotes automated geographic controls?

There are only two logical possibilities:

A systemic failure in the technology or targeting system; or

Manual modification of account parameters.

We asked for clarification and a resolution.

Despite multiple emails and more than five telephone calls, we have not received a substantive explanation or resolution. During this period, an additional £85.86 was deducted from our account while the dispute remained open, which further increased our concern.

We want to be clear: disputes can happen in business. Technology can fail. Billing errors can occur. What matters is how a company responds when a documented issue is raised.

In our case, the lack of engagement and absence of transparency has been the most concerning aspect.

As a result, we have had to take steps toward formal recovery of the disputed funds.

We would have strongly preferred a commercial and professional resolution. Instead, this has required significant management time, financial auditing, and now legal preparation.

We will update this review as the matter progresses.

Fantastic quality leads, friendly staff, can stop/ start anytime, no contract. Really helped me promote my business. Generates over 70 % of my work. They do work if you give it chance, rather than give up at the first no answer call. It's a numbers game

We pay monthly for this scam, do all the things asked and nothing ever comes through. Paying for clients to tell you they have got lots of quotes from pinlocal allready 1 minute after being sent the contacts through.. sort this rubbish out makes no sense

Useful to strum up business during the quieter weeks as you can turn it on and off and be targeted on specific Post Codes. You need to use it as an active part of your marketing following up on the leads otherwise the utility is neglected.
