As soon as you start it, It comes full of adverts, and I'm talking about the paid version. What a load of rubbish this software is. Do not buy. There are better free videoing software out there.

Don't waste your money on Studio 23 Ultimate.

Don't waste your money on this product.
I opted for an upgrade from Studio 20 Ultimate to the latest version on 23 ultimate as it promised a more stable platform. What a waste of money, I use the multi-cam editing tool when creating videos for our local amateur pantomime society. My system is the latest build of Windows 10, 64 gig of ram. An AMD Ryzen™ 7 2700X Processor 8 Cores. 2 x SSD 1Tb drives. with a GeForce GTX 1660 6Gb gfx card. Pinnacle was slow, unresponsive at times even lagging out for several minutes while it thought about doing something. I've checked all drivers and they're up to date. Even disable my AV software and no difference, I managed to edit act 1 and dragged this into a time line and rendered, well the rendering process was the smoothest part. Its a shame the audio didn't align to the video. I suspect this is codec related and that all videos were shot using anti shake settings using AVCHD with Dolby audio AC-3. That I think is the problem, but pinnacle refuse to accept it because their product is aimed at the amateur and this is the most popular format of video. I've now spent a lot more money than I wanted on a product that works a treat, Vegas Pro 17. No lag, no issues and within 24 hours of buying it I have a fully edited video. 6 camera angles and a separate audio stream all aligned and rendered flawless.

Nothing good here

Nothing good here. Pinnacle studio 21 ultimate cannot open basic AVI contained files. I have tried mp4, h264/5. I am sure there is a combination that pennicle will open, just don't have the time for that crap. Really frustrated, having paid for this software and having a deadline to work towards with this software not behaving.

Pinnacle Studio23 issues and support sucks

Bought Pinnacle 23 and installed it to find out the Import Previous projects does not work. Talked to a few support people and all they said is to rebuild the project from scratch in the new version.
This feature always worked in previous versions. Also the installation has not installed all features and it's been three days and still waiting for support to get back with a solution.
Support sucks!

Corel Pinnacle Ultimate 23 - another review

I find myself writing another review about Pinnacle Studio 23 and this time I’m reducing my star rating.

Having contacted the ‘so called customer services’ I just get cut and pasted platitudes and it’s obvious the advisor hasn’t read my email.

My latest frustration was :-

You haven’t answered my question!

WHAT WAS THE LATEST VERSION TO SUPPORT 3D?

Please escalate this to a manager or director.

You are not able to deal with this yourself.

I will go to Facebook and trustpilot to escalate myself if you don’t offer me a satisfactory result.

I am now getting frustrated and cross with you.

I have suggested you swap Ultimate 23 for the latest working 3D version which I think is more than reasonable on my behalf. I will let forums know of your intransigence.

Pinnacle Studio 21.5

Pinnacle Studio 21.5
Highly disappointed in both performance and tech support. Being recently retired I decided I wanted to spend my spare time taking pictures and videos of wildlife and natural scenes and I wanted a product with which to edit and produce good, high-quality final results. I'd used Pinnacle 12 several years ago and while it was a bit unstable, sometimes I'd have to close and reopen the program, once it loaded properly it did what I asked of it quite well. Wanting something with a higher resolution option I decided to purchase the upgrade, and once it was downloaded I've had nothing but problems. The very first time I tried to use the product it crashed, as did the second and third at which point I contacted tech support. The guy who was assigned my ticket got that part fixed and I've been able to edit and export two very short videos which only needed to have a couple of wobbly frames cut out, but trying to create a video from scratch has been nothing but frustration. E.G.: Last night I assembled the pictures I wanted to use to go along with a song which was recorded onto a cassette by my band some while back, hoping to end up with a YouTube-worthy HD video, but all I was able to do was get the audio track onto the timeline, getting the pics and transitions onto the timeline failed time and time again.
Simply put, in my estimation the product was put out on the market way too soon; it looks good on paper but when it came time to perform it fails miserably. Bugs galore.

I've been using their products for about 15 years and on the whole I've been very satisfied.
Occasionally the latest version hasn't been all it's cracked up to be but Avid from Pinnacle & Studio 20 are great examples if recent upgrades or versions. Just wish they would reward product or brand loyalty customers a bit more with reductions in upgrades.

Horrible support on faulty software. read below.

from Corel:
Your case is escalated for further troubleshooting, there have been reports from other users that after installing the latest Studio 19.5.1 update, Studio crashes/freezes when apply reverse/speed effect on a clip. Similar issue is reported to engineering and they are looking into it.
In the mean time you can downgrade to Studio 19.5.0 and continue your work.

what????????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I will take a refund. They finally told me the truth after mailing back and forth 20 times where they NEVER read my mail to the end OR looked at the screenshots.

UPDATE: They refunded me. I think they were just unlucky with outsourced support. Pinnacle, please get proper English writing support people. I communicated with "Noel" but he always only read the first 5 words of my mails..I did not get even ONE proper answer.
