We always use the branch on king street Manchester. The manager Ian and the staff there are just superb. It’s in a beautiful art deco building and the food is consistently good. The stand out thing about this branch though is the staff. Always fantastic service, can’t recommend them enough

Disappointing service
Food was good, but service from our server, Debra, was disappointing. She was friendly at first but became rude and visibly annoyed when we asked to split the bill, especially when some of us paid in cash. She sighed, complained about not having time or change, and even made a passive-aggressive comment when I smiled at my friends. Debra made the end of our meal very uncomfortable and unenjoyable.

6 olives and 3 small pieces of ham with 6 small mushroom pieces on it.
Really disappointed - it was really just a huge piece of dough. Insulting really and largely inedible.

Poor quality & bad service response

Order arrived cold & 2 out of 3 pizzas were appalling quality - dry bases with virtually no pizza sauce on them. Phoned the restaurant that made them - they said they couldn't re-send them or do anything. No customer service phone number to speak to a person so the usual time-wasting frustration of completing an online form. Sent complaint with details & photos. Received response that just offered a free main if we dined with them again (meaning spending more money with them to dine as a family) & going on about their new delivery packaging meaning orders wouldn't be cold on arrival. Clearly not bothered about customer satisfaction. We will be going elsewhere from now on.

GLUTEN-FREE SPONGE CAKE?!
We both ordered 'crispy base' pizzas, one gluten-free, one normal. Neither were crisp - tho the 'normal' one had crisp bits round the edge - but the GF one was like a really bad sponge cake. Really unpleasant! Pity because the staff were lovely (it was a branch near Waterloo station).

I came here with my family. Everything seemed fine at first. The waiter seated us as soon as we walked in and asked if we were ready to order. We told him we wanted water to drink but that we were still deciding what to order. He said he would get our water and come back to take our order. A few minutes later, a different waiter brought us water, but our original waiter had disappeared. We finally spotted him, serving some people who had come in after us. They received their food before the waiter even came to take our order. The wait was so long that we considered leaving and going somewhere else, and we wish we would have. It was another long wait for our pizza to come, in which the people seated next to us received and even finished their food. We asked for extra napkins during the wait and were given about five small low-quality napkins. We were also brought a stack of plates that had clearly not been washed after their last use. Finally, our pizza came, and it wasn’t very good at all. The crust was very thin, barely even there, and was so undercooked that it was impossible to hold. We had to fold our pizza slices like tacos in order to eat them. When we finally finished, there was another long wait for our check. When we finally got it, we left as soon as we could, and we will never be coming back.

We decided as a family to treat ourselves to a pizza. One member of the family is gluten intolerant. On looking at the menu there was a number of pizzas to have. Sadly this was half the size and can only be described as a child’s portion. On looking at the normal size pizzas these were hanging off the plate. Prezzo’s offer a proper sized pizza so why can’t pizza express. Why should gluten free people have to be given small pizzas. Completely unfair.

I ordered a pizza and received NOTHING
I ordered a pizza and side meal deal. I received messages stating it was being picked up by 3 different couriers before before being advised my order had been cancelled without explanation or refund. I have yet to be refunded my £23.94 and i am still seeking reparation. Just to confirm/update i paid almost £24 and received NOTHING with no explanation.
P.S. The customer service is terrible, it just refers you to "Peter Bot", an A.I bot that can't understand the concept of paying then not receiving anything for your money.

I recently had a "buy one, get one free" mail promotion. I didn't read the small print (who does) so consequently could not avail of the offer. The table has to be booked, ther food ordered and the payment made all using the app. Okay! I can dol that but do not expact a tip from me and if there is a "service charge" I will ask for it to be removed|!
Cold food and tomato dip was not vegetarian
Ordered through the PE website and Uber eats would deliver. The time for delivery kept being extended. When the food finally arrived it was barely warm. To top if off the Halloumi bites were soggy and undercooked rather than crispy. The Tomato Dip had a foul meaty taste and smell. This was supposed to be a vegetarian Dip and definitely did not taste of tomatoes. Definitely some cross contamination occurring or the wrong dip being sent. Wouldn't order again or recommend to anyone. Got a generic same old excuse when I complained to Customer service.

Terrific evening of good food and excellent band at Pizza Express Live Holborn. Excellent staff, especially the lady on the door who managed to rearrange the seating so we could sit with another friend. Thank you!
Pizza Express a rip off
Cheam village branch practically empty but waited an unacceptable time for food which although enjoyable was nearly £50 for two and not value for money. How they charge this much for inexpensive food is unbelievable, as such will not be coming back here again as to me a rip off. In addition requested to add a service charge which I ignored. Last time I go to Pizza Express as costs as much as a steak nowadays .
Insufficient topping to cover the base!
Just opened a Pizza Express frozen pizza. What a let down, the sauce doesn't even cover the very small section of the base that isn't crust.
I have eaten in pizza expresses from London to Leeds and many in between but after this frozen pizza base with a dash of topping I won't be going into restaurants nor buying frozen. A waste of money.
