I placed an order for a stone barbecue with this company because it said free delivery, when another company said up front there would be a delivery charge. I checked for delivery costs and they have a table which states delivery costs and conditions to various places including the Highlands and Islands, then at the bottom of the table it quite clearly states "Masonry and Stone Barbecues 5 to 21 working days Over £300 Free" so I ordered, the sale went through with my delivery address, I got an email confirming the order and thanking me for placing it. Then to my surprise I got another email saying I had to pay a further £30 for delivery. Apparently further down in small print it says it may cost extra for delivery to my post code.
Trading standards have long said that delivery costs should be visible and upfront!

Absolutely brilliant 👏. Had an issue with my order and must point out that this was not the fault of Planet Barbecue.

Customer Service was fantastic in resolving for me and in a quick and timely manner.

Very strange experience! I contacted planetbarbecue.co.uk in order to purchase 5mm square spit rod for my bbq. David provided me costing:
We can supply a 5mm spit rod.
£14.99 plus £5.99 delivery.
Total £20.98
Or 2 for 19.99
Total £25.98

So after toing and froing for weeks David is still not able (or willing) to provide me with the length of the rod. Apparently it was left in his car over the weekend so he cannot measure. On the phone he comes across as a pleasant man but not very business minded. Today I contacted him via text message, email and left a message on his phone. No luck. I ordered a rod from another specialist today for fraction of the price and most importantly with no hassle. It seems planetbarbecue.co.uk does not want your money. Now he claims they do not stock the item even though I was sent a quotation.
