As soon as we walked in we felt that Planters was clean and well laid out. Everyone was friendly and welcoming. The food in the restaurant was excellent.

Excellent garden centre excellent choice of plants, very clean and food lovely with friendly service , going back on Monday to see the Christmas decorations
Use to be a great place until they wouldn’t allow dogs in at the weekend. To then be told that she wasn’t allowed in was unacceptable. The lady was very rude regarding this, which left my partner and I flabbergasted by her approach to the subject.
There was no explanation as to why this policy is in place, nor does it make sense for a garden centre with dog orientated products/services to execute this policy.
After driving 10 miles on Sunday 29/8/21 to visit and shop at planters,I was, and I mean very very disappointed to be greated by a sign to say that Dogs are not welcome at weekends, I was so angry I refrained from making my anger known.
We have been going to planters for a couple of years, and as they are also dog groomers, could not understand why they have chosen to ban dogs at weekends, SHAME on you planters, you either allow dogs every day, or not at all, also where was the notice given to your dog owner customers that you was going to implement this rule, I was only in your shop a few weeks ago, did you not think to give your valued customers who bring there dogs along notice that this is what you are planning to do.
Just needed to write and tell you how delicious your turkey joint was . No more fighting with whole turkey in the oven . it was lovely and moist and definitely the best i have had in years . i would also like to say how lovely and friendly all the staff were . My sister felt that they came over a little pushy with sales but i think they are just trained to a high standard . Well done to all your team . I will be back .
Planters is the place to be maybe not be perfect but it's wonderful.
Just spent 30mins in ripples to buy fish in a que by till ,only to find staff serve the next person at the back of que....what a joke...
Well planters you have lost out as i went else where and spent over 100 pounds on fish due to your amazing organisation NOT...
Although Planters always looks wonderful and the staff are amazing,I have a complaint,We took 3 grandchildren and ourselves for lunch on Thursday 31ST October.I waited in the queue for 25 mins to make my order and pay for some tea which by now had gone cold,One person on the till, absolutely ridiculous.Grandkids were as fed up waiting as we were,Then took another 30 mins to have our food bought out.One child had roast of the day (gammon)which was dried up, but the veg was almost cooked. The gammon was cold and dried up and in little its not slices as you would expect. My husband had the burger which he enjoyed,I had half of chicken,The bit I had was tasty(part of the breast was missing)Fresh veg of the day it said, consisted of dried up parsnips, carrots, onions and I think egg plant and peppers,no greens or potatoes, was expecting a dinner.Gravy was warm.with 2 childrens boxes and 3 adult meals plus a pot of tea and 2 cokes came to almost £40,I left most of mine and so did my granddaughter with the dried up bits of gammon.I know they were busy but that is no excuse for the quality or lack of it,We live local and should have gone elsewhere but unfortunately we had to be in another place at 2.30,I often come here for my lunch but after that ordeal I wont be bothering again. Not very happy at all.
Planters restaurant was dreadful! Visited yesterday- four adults and two small children. Kiddies had £4.99 sandwich bags, the sandwiches were very stale and inedible, after complaining they were replaced with a freshly made sandwich with thick bread. Not suitable for kids. The breakfast rolls the adults ordered were also stale and the sausages obviously cooked earlier and reheated. Very disappointing, a never to be repeated experience.
Yesterday I took my elderly parents to Planters for a 91st birthday meal for my Dad. Your roast beet and Yorkshire pudding was truly lovely, the meat was very tender. Service brilliant, the lady who brought our food looked after us so well. You made my Dad's day. THANK YOU PLANTERS
