Fish sold sick, aquariums with bacteria and fish sick

I bought fish and populated the aquarium also bought from Plantorama, which was prepared for receiving the fish according to the instructions received from their employee. The fish started to behave strangely and die one by one. I noticed that they had white dots on their bodies and were starting to lose their tails. I searched on the internet and saw that it is about bacteria, that they are sick. I returned to the store to buy treatment. The very kind employee said from the first, when I showed him the sick fish, he said that the fish have a bacteria that affects them. After putting the necessary treatment in the basket, I walked in front of the aquariums. Maximum surprise, total disappointment for everything that happens in the store that has only been open for a few months and has aquariums full of this bacteria. Basically, I bought the infected fish and put them in a new, uninfested aquarium. I, as a customer, am left with the financial damage, because from another answer given by Plantorama to another review related to fish, they state that they cannot guarantee how long a fish lives. They definitely guarantee that they sell you fish that are already sick! Stealing from customers' wallets.

Shame on such practice!

Dear Simona

Thank you for your feedback and we are of course sorry to hear that your fish got sick.
Having said that, it is very important for us to state that we obviously have no interest in selling sick fish.
When we receive new fish from suppliers, these are moved to quarantine with the precautions this requires in relation to filtering in order to de-stress the fish before they are sold.
Therefore, the aquariums during the filtering precaution, from time to time may look as if there is disease in them, which of course is not the case.

You are very welcome to have a chat with the department manager Jan at our animal center in Kolding, then he will also ensure you don't have any financial loss in this particular case.

Have a nice day.
Regards from Plantorama
